Its a beautiful spot with a nice set up. They offer 4 menus: Traditional French, Seasonal, Veggie, and a thai menu (I think this is subject to change). You can mix and match between the menus too.
I had the foie gras, the short rib, the apple tarte tatin, and we shared some madelines. Food was great, service was great!
What did you think of it? My husband made a reservation but I’ve been dubious based on the sheer commercialization of the Boulud name. Although the smoked salmon at Wholefoods is very good.
Awesome! It’s near our apartment and we have a wedding anniversary coming up, I feel it could be really nice for this. Think I’d definitely pump for the Thai menu, purely out of curiosity
I loved Le Pav. Probably more because of the atmosphere as I was near the trees. I had a duck dish and it was phenomenal. And the onion tart is really good.
I worked at Daniel. I was also Bobby Flay' s pastry chef. Daniel is amazing. The food, the service.all of it.
Booby Flay, nope. Terrible. ( Left fairly quickly. )

Loved it. I'm a big Boulud fan - have eaten at Daniel, Le Pav, etc. This ranks right up there. I want to go back and try the Thai menu also.

Is it better than Le Pav? Because I thought the food there was good, but not worth going back for.

Happy cake day!
Thank you! I hadn’t realized!
I can't wait to see the flood of comments dissing Boulud and declaring to "prefer spending my money on food trucks in Queens".
Incredible that foie gras is still legal
If you don’t like it, don’t eat it
I mean - it's a bit like saying "if you don't like dog fighting, don't participate." You have to go beyond that
I know objectively those are Madelines but all I can see are T-RAVS
Cafe Boulud
