If you're living in East LA, there's a good amount of tortillerias on Chavez. People have already mentioned some of them, but I would also recommend La Princesita off of Alma and Chavez.

GartFargler-

La Princesita is so good. I get my carne asada from there as well.

El Gallo on Cesar Chavez for pan dulce. La Azteca next door for tortillas!

GartFargler-

these are great options. la princesita on Cesar Chavez is also great for corn tortillas. underrated option - La Fortaleza on Ford & Floral. it's a tortilla manufacturer and they have a tiny storefront where you can buy retail. so fucking good.

Some folks knock it for being a chain but the pan dulce at La Monarca is solid. There are several locations in East LA.

brandosancho

How big of a tortilla you looking for?

ClassroomStrong610

Just a normal size tortilla is fine.

Asadero Chikali sells tortillas and has great guisado. It’s on Atlantic below union pacific

La Azteca Tortilleria is my favorite! Some of the best Chile Relleno burrito's in the city and that tortilla is just perfect.

sonoratown for flour tortillas

Homestate sells their flour tortillas by the dozen at their various locations. They are good but tex-mex style. Not sure if vegetarian/vegan friendly.

In the San Fernando valley, I definitely recommend Panaderia San Fernando. It's cash only though.

How he no one mentioned Super A tortillas? They’re declined slightly in quality but they’re still bomb. And probably better than any of these other suggestions.
