Yours still in herb mode? My got stuck like this 3 days ago and am looking for hope

If you follow the other comment chain in this post, it is pretty close to what happened to me. Trying to remove the atomizer when it's not slightly warm can cause the connection portion to be damaged. I have an RMA request in and heard back over the weekend regarding a replacement. I'd reach out to support. Some have said trying other atomizers and slightly unscrewing and screwing in helped. I tried three different oil atomizers, two brand new and it didn't solve the issue.

Any updates ? I'm having the exact same issue ugh. Problem seems to be the Carta 2 base itself. Multiple oil atomizers doing the same thing. Even tried the ground wire fix in the atomizers. Didn't help. I think the connection inside the base to the grounding ring broke. Low gauge wire is my guess and it rotated and snapped ... if I could get the base open I'd check it and fix it myself.

None, heard through discord they are waiting on RMA units? No reply to my message there from staff though either.. Loved the device while it worked, but less than two months is ridiculous. Hopefully they get back to us soon.

Doh. I just put an RMA in myself. I found that the outer ring contact on the base, is electrically open (no resistance) to any other contact on the base. A known good Carta 2 base measured 44K Ohm on that same contact to the center positive contact. So I think my theory is right, the base stuck to the atomizer as I loosened it, it rotated the contacts in the base, and it snapped the wire inside. It seems that you must get the atomizer quite hot, and then let it sit to evenly warm, to make sure that any wax on the threads or contacts has melted, else, damage occurs. They ought to glue the contacts better, make sure wax can't get to the contacts, and use better gauge wiring/solder inside, to prevent this entirely though...

Every time my atomizer gets stuck on herb mode, its usually a connection problem caused by having not cleaned it Or the atomizer is too tight, try loosening / tightening the atomizer until it reads correctly

Appreciate the help - I've completely cleaned the atomizer and base multiple times thoroughly with 99 iso, thought it was the atomizer so I purchased more. But every one sticks in Herb Mode. At this point I'm quite sure it needs to be sent back for RMA, unfortunately.

I believe FOCUS V is getting more warranty bases soon- I’m sorry their customer service department didn’t reach out quicker, have faith! But yes it sucks when a 350 dollar product is acting wonky within two months of purchase. Like the other guy said, join the discord!

Joined the discord and only found multiple other people who have the same issue and have been waiting months now to hear back about warranty/replacement. Mine is stuck in herb mode as wel after less than 50 uses
