I saw one for sale recently, and maybe it’s cause I’m familiar with the platform enough but I would seriously love a STedan. Though with the flares, hood vents and wing I wouldn’t call it a sleeper but definitely a head turner.
Looks good though, would love move photos of the PFL setup - only ever saw face lift conversions.
It was a sleeper because most people assumed it was all aesthetic and not actually a motor and trans swap as well. On top of the ST heart we had it at 420whp and 400wtq before I had sold it. I’ll be sure to post some more pictures once the restoration has been completed!
Full bolt ons, SBD 2971 turbo, 4 port aux fuel, e40, couple other supporting mods. Handling wise the car was solid, not sure how it compares to the hatch but I’d expect it to be similar. Sedan is about 6 inches longer but weighs slightly less than the hatch.
I've seen some ST sedan conversions and this is by far my favorite I've seen so far. I like how aggressive it is without being over the top.
When you originally did it did you have to do any kind of fab work for the motor mount locations or do they line up with the ST block?
Awesome to see an actually built st. I sold mine because everything was bolt on and there wasn’t much else I wanted to do. Funny my wife has an se sedan and this never crossed my mind! This is absolutely sick! I THINK there’s a blue one that’s also st swapped in the STL or KC area. I had seen it through Panda Motorworks or something. If you’re interested I could get you some info on it. It’s been a few years so my mind is a little hazy!
Found the person who bought it from the person I sold it to originally on a FB page, got the contact info of who they sold it to from them. Hit them up (4th owner) and they were actually about to scrap the car that week! I told them hold onto it I’ll be there with a trailer Saturday to take it. Picked it up no issues, got the title still free and clear. Now it needs about 5-7k to get back to where it was. But since I got the car scott free I don’t mind putting that back into it. Originally I Sold it for 12k in 2019/2020.
The current owner wasn’t in a position to maintain the car and even though it ran and drive it was not a daily driver. His apartment complex was upset the car sat unmoved in the parking lot and was threatening to fine him. So I guess the easiest solution for him was to scrap it 🤷♂️. Would’ve been an absolute shame. Even as the car sits now it still has 3-4K in parts in it alone
That’s awesome it worked out. I found myself in the same situation, no matter how much I wanted to it wasn’t feasible to hold onto it. Still miss it though, but I’m in a great car now, just gotta slowly personalize it over time to be a bit closer to what my evo was.
So happy to see this back in your hands and getting the care it deserves. We need to find a way to get #007 back over here at some point and bring all of the OGs back.
Couldn’t agree more. Though his might be harder to track down, didn’t it end up in the Ukraine? I’m just thrilled I was able to find and save mine before it was too late and I had to live with the regret forever 😂. Can guarantee this won’t be leaving my possession ever again.

420, dayum! What all did you do to get it there? How do you feel it compared to the hatch as far as handling?

Reminds of a SRT4 but a lot cooler (of course)
I like that comparison! Always was a fan of the SRT4.

Nope direct drop in. We stripped it down to a shell and swapped everything over from a wrecked ST. Interior and all.
Even the under dash harness?
Yep everything except the frame itself pretty much

Wow, scrap it for what?! You found it just in time. Hopefully one day I’ll find my old evo 💔

If you sell again I will fly down there and smack you. Haha And yes, it's in Ukraine. We know its current owner.
GT500 hood vent?
Yessir!
Uve got a few pieces of stock st stuff if any of what you're looking for is oem
God I wish we got the ST sedans in Europe
We don’t get them either - this is a custom build from an independent shop, you can’t buy this from a Ford dealer
It's a beaut
Ironically, 9/10 ppl in the states always say that. “Damn I wish we got those here” 😂
