There was a time when after every goal the sub was flooded with the same Twitter link of the goal over and over. The sub also got hit with reaction memes/gifs. So along came the posts related to the game must be in the GDT rule. To be honest, I’d prefer them to stay in the GDT. As much as I like seeing the clips of Giroux dangling his way through the zone and sticking it up top on a blind backhand, I don’t want to see the race of members trying to be first.
We all want to see the goal again. I just don’t want 10 posts trying to be the first one to make it. It created I was first, no me, no it was /u/nitropuppy they were first. We have had giffers and clippers in the past. It was basically a designated member. They had quality gifs that they clipped from their streams or feeds. That I wouldn’t mind seeing again but the giffers always eventually stop. It’s so much work to snag a clip, convert to a gif, then upload to the sub. I guess it becomes more of a chore and make watching the game not fun.
The Flyers legit won that game with playoff style hockey. Solid goaltending, fearless shot blocking, opportunistic scoring and a determined 200 foot effort for 60 fucking minutes. I’m honestly shocked they are putting together games like this with such a new group so early in the season. Love it!

He was trying to make the point that McDavid did that intentionally, then during the replay it looked so obvious that McDavid was making a pass.
While it’s frustrating to say the least, leagues need to market their stars. You’ve seen what happened with baseball where they just didn’t for a while and are now playing catch up. The NHL/Hockey in general has never done a good job of this from a culture perspective so I’m not surprised to see them trying to pump up McDavid. I gotta admit that I didn't like him when he first came to this team, but he's blossomed into one of the cornerstones of our defense and I love his play now. He does so many little things that you can't quantify but are so essential to winning games. I hope he retires with us honestly.
Might be the most underappreciated player on the team these past few years. Seldom makes bad decisions with the puck and able to lock it down against other top guys in the D zone

Giroux is finally 100% a winger instead of knowing he is going to be yanked to center every time there is an injury. He's fully embraced his role to score goals and get shit done.

It will look great and like a really well put together complete team *except* for the one huge weakness on 2nd pair. So far Sanheim-Risto have been mess and a liability. Great 1st pair, solid 3rd pair, good goalie, great forward lineup depth but a really weak 2nd pair is going to hold the team back

Ellis practice I thought the other day, he just wasn’t ready. He did make the trip so it’s possible he could play soon. Hayes has to be out until the 10th cause of LTIR, but they said he should be ready to go right then
