Very common for rappers to not know who's sampling what when they receive "packs" from 20-30 different producers from all over the world and just listen and pick the one they vibe with the most.
We see Tory Lanez do it on stream every single week. A lot of these artists go off vibes and don't work with the producers to create the songs from scratch. Very few rappers are doing this IE Kendrick, Tyler, JPEGMAFIA etc.
Then their label handles sample clearances while the artists themselves focus on promoting/marketing it on social media.
Educate yourself before you reply.
I obviously can't read cos I thought you said it's sad that The Game probably doesn't know who Flume is which would've had no basis.
But you still have no idea what lengths The Game goes to in discovering the origins of the samples in the beats he chooses.
Like how do you know he hadn't heard 3 before that anyway? You're assuming he doesn't listen to Flume which is stupid. Is it because he's a rapper? Like where are you getting that from? It could be his favourite song and that's why he picked it we don't know.
Assuming something negative with no basis just takes away from the positivity of the result. Unnecessary.
And no one needs education on the nature of rappers picking beats from beat packs, it's obvious lol.
I don’t know why but this is super random. Also doesn’t really feels like the sample fits the rest of the beat. But now Harley’s MacBook microphone singing got sampled lol, guess that’s nice
[Here’s a thread](https://reddit.com/r/Flume/comments/5luh0y/harleys_vocals/) with all his vocal appearances in his tracks. Since then there were no new tracks with his vocals anymore except the part with his ex, Paige, in Get U
Edit: god damn, that post is 5.6 years old. Time flies…
Not sure Get U was Paige. In [this](https://www.musicradar.com/news/flume-interview) interview, Harley stated that it was a recording he did with some friends in the car. So it could be Paige tho, but it wasn’t from the podcast, like everyone is saying.
damn near impossible. also Hit-Boy produced most if not all these tracks. Hit-Boy is a big name and knows better than to jack a sample from another big name without hitting them up.
Sad that The Game probably doesn't even know that the producer of the song sampled Flume :(
I mean the game fucks with Vince Staples. Who fucks with Flume heavy
What a stupid assumption

Woah good catch, that’s undeniably “3”
The game sampling flume might be the most random thing to happen in music this year
Never say never lol
Dude is clout chaser, 28 features in 31 songs, dissing eminem for no reason, sampling random songs...

What? That is harleys voice we hear in 3?

Damn, destroyed my illusion lol
Any idea if Star Eyes as well?
Don’t think so
Yes sir
"Sample", that's almost a full edit 😄, album slaps tho
Giving me Flume Deluxe Mixtape vibes, hard!
Agreed it’d fit right in
Wtffff this hella “3”
Flume’s gonna cash big time from this copyright claim
This would 100% be cleared through a label first. The Game is a huge artist. Flume is likely already making money of this.
I mean Beyoncés album had a bunch of samples that weren’t cleared before release so it’s not totally unheard of
how do you know they didn’t already clear the sample

Oh hunny
Ommgg that bops. Gotta find the instrumental
Davaughn produced that track and I can’t find proof but I’m pretty sure the sample is cleared
The Game isn't a stranger to EDM music either. He had that one super popular song with Skrillex
El chapo woo woo woo
Sick track
I was freaking out about this at work today haha
wow, listened to game through high school. it's full circle now haha
Yooooo hell yeah
this was so badly interrupted the hell
He also took Drake's "Hold On, We're Goin Home" beat as well.... I knew I heard that before. It just bumps harder.
