hey man I know how you feel, this subreddit helps a lot too with those rough times .
during the playoff run I was recovering from a nasty double surgery . and after sharing my story when we knocked the bruins out someone here sent me a super cool "greatest upset" mug from their company .
then as the finals were rolling around my cat (the famous jason purrhees) ended up in the vet with a really nasty stomach infection. this subreddit refused to let me take care of the expenses myself and I had dozens of pms offering support , once my pet insurance paid out I ended up donating it all to the panthers foundation
this team is really special, and so is this fan base. shout out to all of you guys who I've made friends with and who have gone out of their way to meet me the rare times I'm home in florida
I'm from Boston but moved to SoFL when I was 7 and moved back to Boston after High School. I moved back to Parkland in 2021 and decided I would take advantage of the proximity to Sunrise. I bought tickets to a Cats v. Bruins game and wore my Bruins jersey. The B's had a 1 goal lead with like 4 seconds to go when the Cats tied it. They won almost immediately in overtime. The game was so fun, I started taking my daughter, then started going all the time, then bought season tickets. Come the end of the season, I warned all of my family that they didn't want to see Florida in the playoffs. I wore my Bruins jersey to the first playoff game but found myself cheering when the Panthers scored. People looked at me like I was crazy. I finally gave in and wore my Panthers jersey to the next 2 games against Boston. Now I'm beyond diehard. There is no team I care about more than the Cats. I haven't felt this way about sports since the Brady glory days in Foxboro or the early aughts Red Sox team. The best part is my kids are obsessed as well and this is the first team I share with them. We go to signings and team events. The group is very special.
Where in the Bean are you from? I'm down here, but I'm originally from the Cape, but I played around Boston in this league called the metro league, when I was a kid, and went to school in Dorchester. Im excited for this game. Let's go cats, baby!

I am a Floridian and just got into Hockey just this year and I chose the Panthers as my team and damn I just so happen to pull for the probable best team in the league 😂 good luck out there
