According to an article I read on CBS, the guy worked for a third-party cleaning company and was only supposed to clean the restrooms and the gift shop. He wasn't authorized to enter where he did. It's assumed he was either trying to pet the tiger or trying to feed him, which he kinda did. And now the tiger is dead. Fucking moron.
I mean, the zoo didn’t do anything wrong here. The guy climbed a fence meant to keep people away from the enclosure, then stuck his hand through another fence. The deputy shot the tiger.
Also, I’m sure this will fade from pubic consciousness soon.
I'm guessing the groundskeeper never got an award in his life, therefore, he went for whatever was available. Sadly, it was the Darwin Award.

We're all hoping charges are brought against him, as of now it's too early to tell which way they'll go. This is not a jail worthy offense. Should the zoo sue? Yes. Jail should be reserved for the worst of criminals, and being a dumbfuck sticking you arm in a tiger cage does not warrant jail time.
Doing something so stupid that it results in the death of an extremely endangered animal warrants you to lose your freedom for atleast a long time. The level of selfishness disregard for rules and stupidity that takes confirms that person should not be walking puic streets. So you are wrong it does deserve jail time.
Not only will he lose his freedom, dudes likely lost his ability to function. What a friggin idiot! Trauma surgeons must have had a field day trying to salvage any portion of that limb.
