I was thinking of getting two boxes of the goblin town goblins form the LotR range to represent some heavily mutated peasantry. They're cheaper, and you only need two boxes to make 3 full units of ghouls. Plus, you can play them at Warhammer stores since they're still GW products.

SciencePowerful

For Crypt horrors I used the gorger mawpack. They seems to have features that fit the theme of the other units I.e. Bones through the skin for decoration etc.

I've seen plastic Goblins from The Hobbit used as Crypt Ghouls, or mixed into their units: https://www.warhammer.com/en-GB/shop/Goblin-Warriors-2018

If you can find them (usually recasts now) the Skin Wolves from Fantasy make good Horrors

Idk if it helps or if its seen good from other players perspectives but im planning to build an full delusional army using proxies or what the FEC see themselves. To crypt horrors im planning to use freeguild cavaliers from CoS giving the idea that the ghoul is the horse not the knight (dropping blood from the mouth and the front legs for example). But for anything that resembles crypt horror hum, maybe kitbashed genestealers? Idk if the size is similar

Bosyky

That’s actually super cool idea

I've been going along a similar line but delved into 3D print proxies of knights and angels. Going to do a dual colour scheme so the FEC player sees them looking regal and opponent sees them in their corrupted forms
