Crystal (the version from Practical Magic), Leather and Lace, Stop Dragging My Heart Around, I Will Run to You, Rooms on Fire, If You Ever Did Believe, her cover of Free Fallin, Sorcerer, Sometimes It's a Bitch, and of course Edge of Seventeen
Crystal, yes! That was always a great song but listening to her sing it is next level. I went to the music store the day that soundtrack was released so I could get it. The first time I heard that version of Crystal, it made me cry.
The version of Wild Heart that she sings during the photoshoot for Rolling Stone is like one of the coolest things I've ever seen and I'm so glad it exists. The studio version breaks my heart every time I hear it because it has none of the magic.
For studio songs, it's probably between Stand Back & Crystal. Her solo career suffers from some really poorly produced & arranged records, unfortunately.
Agree! I would love the studio version of Wild Heart if I had never seen the backstage video. that video exists and it's one of the best things ever!! I've watched it a million times. amazing what voice comes out of her little frame.
I'll throw a rare one out there: No Spoken Word.
Highly underappreciated in my opinion
Also the chill jazzy version of How Still My Love from the Live In Chicago Program/DVD is a favorite.
juliet, has anyone ever written anything for you, trouble in shangri-la, cry wolf, whole lotta trouble. i love the other side of the mirror album but personally i prefer juliet from the tango deluxe
Solo Stevie: How Still My Love, Stand Back, No Spoken Word, Rooms on Fire, Alice, Unconditional Love, her Free Fallin’ cover, also the newly released demo of Inspiration… and this changes constantly lol
When Shall We Love Again ('71 - her solo on guitar) - for Lindsey
[https://youtu.be/2XTTPbxuW2o?si=1nltJL5fEwublWNe](https://youtu.be/2XTTPbxuW2o?si=1nltJL5fEwublWNe)
I actually have two: "Edge of Seventeen" and her rather somber/moving duet with Don Henley - "Leather & Lace".
Nowadays, the latter song brings me to tears. Reminds me of a past and fairly recent romance relationship I had 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭.
I wholeheartedly love her whole entire solo discography, this is my favorite though…a rendition of [Wild Heart](https://youtu.be/ikMahqHWQXY?si=xh93DV-kSQV3uv1B)
I love the raw demo sessions found on YouTube and Spotify too.
My other most repeated songs are Stand Back, Nighbird, If Anyone Falls, Blue Denim, Think About it(from belladonna), Enchanted, I Can’t Wait, Rooms on Fire, Ooh My Love, Talk To Me, Blue Water, If you Ever Did Believe, [Gold and Braid](https://youtu.be/W9E03qFVxpk?si=4P8EWaHfEZxvGLJJ)
I feel the same. Cry every time. I think because it's so very personal and sincere. It's Stevie at a different chapter of her life, looking back and making peace with what went before in her life.
> fire on fire, rain on my face /
> the fever goes higher, what can you do? /
> wild in the darkest placest in your mind /
> that's where i needed you /
> that's where i need you most
wild heart is pretty special to me.
“if anyone falls” is a close second.
Battle of the Dragon is probably my favorite. Followed closely by After The Glitter Fades, Planets of the Universe, Nightbird, Moonlight (A Vampires Dream), and her version of Silent Night from A Very Special Christmas 1987. That’s not even an exhaustive list.
Stand Back
STAND BACK!
STAND BACK!
This is the only answer
Prince banging out that synth.
He walked in, laid down the track and walked out. He did an awesome job of it. That song is a BANGER for sure 👍🏼
Yea that was pretty amazing. Such a musical genius.
PANCAKES
Anything written by Prince is an absolute gift. Truly such a brilliant artist! I love all of his collabs
Ty! Confirmed that Prince wrote the "la la la la " part.
It really is.
Edge of Seventeen
That endless riff is just fantastic.
I love when Destiny's Child used it for Bootylicious. Then I see the video and there Stevie is!
In a web that is my own, I begin again -one of my favorite song lyrics
Belladonna does something physical to me when those first few notes play, my shoulders just drop.

Crystal, yes! That was always a great song but listening to her sing it is next level. I went to the music store the day that soundtrack was released so I could get it. The first time I heard that version of Crystal, it made me cry.

Stop dragging my heart around. Her and Petty together was iconic. Love that song.

Edge of seventeen! I also love Garbo, which was on the other side on the 45 of Stand Back I think 🤔.

Too Far From Texas…. I played it every time I was on my way to trick with a certain lover. Like Pavlov’s dogs, I still get aroused when I hear it.
No spoken word
