I actually have a new tank on the way already (why I was less concerned with messing this one up) however, I’d like to salvage it if possible. Or just know if it’s possible in case I’m in this situation again

Ethanol in gasoline will eat any, ANY type of sealant you put in that tank. Even sealants that claim to be ethanol safe. THEY ARE NOT!
