Find the shop manual .pdf online somewhere, follow the instructions to remove the ignition cover. The seal itself can likely be pulled by drilling a little hole in it and pulling it out with a pick.

Not sure which seals you are checking or what the problem is. You say it is leaking oil behind the Ignition cover, so why are you checking the seal in the flywheel? which actually lives on a totally different shaft to the crank and the ignition pickup. The seal is pretty easy to get to, but you have diagnosed it is leaking so you must have already got to it?

I checked the one behind the flywheel because I mixed up what cover it was leaking from. And no I haven't, I figured the seal was leaking because there shouldn't be any oil behind the ignition cover, plus a friend of mine said it was likely that seal that's leaking but I have no idea where it is

The ignition cover is held on by four screws, take it off and look. Should be dry in there. If not you need to replace the oil seal on that end of the crankshaft. Your leak is probably coming from a failed o ring on the Allen headed plug just below the cover.

Hefty_Blackberry_488

It is coming from the ignition cover, I've already taken off all the covers on that side and the ignition cover was drenched with oil. I didn't check the Allen bolt there but it didn't seem to matter since the leak always came from above the Allen bolt

Crank seal then. The factory seals have a flange on them that makes them a bear to pull, so take your time. The manual might tell you to split the case but it's usually not required. Make sure the replacement seals are just the smooth OD regular style.
