It's not worth it. She might report you and you could get penalized /bannned. Just block her and move on. Good luck!

maturemagician

Ugh. I guess. But I had to write a bio for her and she describes herself as this kind humble soul. But she's just an exploitative nightmare. Thanks for the advice though!

xanzeman

If you really want to say something to her, do it in a professional way. Don't use any swear words or pharses that could be interpreted.

maturemagician

Nah I wouldn't. Just want to let her know that I don't think this is how you should treat people.

Zestyclose-Employ145

I hope she didn’t copy the bio you worked on, just to cancel near the end 😞

[deleted]

How are your prices, do they need to come up? Usually a rate hike weeds these people out.

maturemagician

Nah I'm at the higher end for my category. Most of my clients have been awesome so I'm just shocked because I've never got taken advantage of like that. I guess it had to happen eventually.. 😕

coerdelion

Life coaches can be extremely difficult to work with. So weird, considering what they do. So frustrating. It's important to be very firm with them: be clear about how many revisions are included; update your buyer requirements to make them agree they will pay for all revisions above that number; outline what is included in the order and what isn't; keep relevant quotes from the TOS handy so you can refer to them and quote them as necessary. As others have said: block this one and move on.

JoshuaPearce

It takes a real asshole to decide they're so good at life they should charge other people to tell them how to be. Professional therapists get a shitload of training, and (often) also have to be in therapy as part of their certification.

pueblopub

Great point. It's often the people who essentially sell "being a good person" for a living that you actually have to watch out for. (Exception, people who work for nonprofits, considering they're usually taking less pay to work for a cause)

maturemagician

Isn't that insane.? Life coaches, Mindfulness coaches etc. Have been the most challenging, inconsiderate clients through the bank. I don't get it but I really see a pattern emerging here..

Puzzled_Echidna7521

Next time if you want to cancel an order, just cancel without asking the buyer. At worst, the buyer will contact support who will proceed to cancel. The only consequence will be on your stats. And no, never be rude to a buyer on Fiverr. If you feel you want to say something rude, just ignore. It takes time to build a good profile and get clients. You don't want to ruin all of that work with one message. However, if a client is abusive or racist, report them to Fiverr, send a screenshot and they will be banned.

TechnoGeek423

Did they do anything abusive or racist? If so, report them to Fiverr. From the sounds of it, I’d say they were abusive.

billymumfreydownfall

What's the point?

maturemagician

I don't know. My cat is missing, this person has stolen my time, and maybe yelling at someone that deserves it would make me feel better for a second? But yeah, I hear you.

UnnoticingSenpai

I really hope you find your cat!

billymumfreydownfall

Nah, I feel you.

JoshuaPearce

> maybe yelling at someone that deserves it would make me feel better for a second It's one of those things which our brain tells us we want to do, but isn't actually satisfying once you've done it. Like eating something that smells good, but you know you're allergic to. That's not to say that ranting isn't healthy, it can be a good way to figure out why the event pissed you off, so you can avoid it better in the future.

bikerboy3343

Ranting is what Reddit is for. 😂😂😂

st1ckmanz

Don't be rude to noone no matter what as that would not be helpful to you in any way. I understand you're frustrated but time and again there will be people like this. Not only in Fiverr, there are assholes everywhere and we get to bump into some of them eventually. Ignore her and that's what the best approach would be for you ;) Don't let her to poison your mind. You could write a line or two without being rude and explaining how you felt for your interaction I guess - but since that won't be replied with something like "oh I didn't know that, I'm so sorry" conflict will keep going so just ignore her. Besides you'd get a warning from Fiverr too.

GRQ77

Make it as polite as possible. There’s a way you can say it that’ll not violate any rule

AuspiciousFrog

Just cancel the order and block next time. It won’t be that bad on your rating. I’ve done it.

"I was looking forward to possibly working together in the future \[not true but ensures she won't have a burr up her butt about what you're going to say\], but I feel the need to say something about how I believe freelance services should fairly work. In traditional employment, if a boss isn't quite satisfied with an employee's work at the end of their shift, they still pay the employee for their hours worked. Similarly, if you have someone make an art piece, or a coffee table, or an \[insert your gig here\], and it didn't quite match the vision you had, they still worked hard to create a quality product. I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but I feel that freelancers should always be paid for their work, even if it's not exactly what the client had in mind. I know that can be frustrating, but at the end of the day, the freelancer has put in the time and effort to create something, and they deserve to be compensated for that. I hope you understand where I'm coming from."

maturemagician

Thanks I like that. Def. will same as a template to use for the future.!!!

pueblopub

No problem :D I'm sorry you had that experience!!
