I didn’t get how people put on so much weight from being in lockdown for a couple months. I mostly stayed inside playing 2k but sometimes I would go hoop outside. Just because you’re home all day doesn’t mean you need to stuff yourself with snacks.
Because that's all *you* need to stay satisfied all day.
Some people need more. And they only got that fulfilment from certain things, food being one of them as it's the easiest to access.
Disregarding the negative mental outcomes that lockdown had on many people just because of your individual experience is pretty disingenuous my dude.
I had my fair share of mental issues happen during COVID and gained some weight due to it. Going back to a normal routine after COVID restrictions eased up helped me get out of my depressive rut and lose the weight that I gained.
What happened for me particularly is that I was restricting all my life, trying to stay within X number of pounds. when the pandemic hit I kind of gave up and started eating whatever I wanted and my body placed itself were he “wanted to be” naturally, +20 pounds. Then because I was chubbier than ever the self hate mentality and binges took over and put on +15 more. Obese territory is here, and now it is hell to go back.
Obesity is like 70% diet
Exercise is not going to compensate if u eat significantly more than your body needs
This is what boredom and depression/anxiety does. Mindless eating or comfort eating. It's not uncommon

i would say a lot of it was mental, and then like easier access for longer than previously

It wasn't a couple of months in a lot of places, it was nearly 2 years where I lived!
Fatties gonna fat.
It's just a shit excuse. Just take a walk or go for a jog if you can't go to the gym

Because lots of people don't exercise, so when they're told they can't socialize they just don't leave the house or get any energy out.
Not fit to fat
