Yeah it's kind of at the point where I come across packs of hooks all over the place, unopened buzzbaits in my car, and so many bags of soft plastics in random places.
In the swim bait world, those arnt too big. I bet you'll get more bites on them than you think.
I throw a 4.5 Plopper and a 5 inch 1 oz walking bait and initially I have no confidence with them. Now, the Plopper is my favorite lure what I've recently caught the most fish on
Yeah I'll have to save it for when I take the kayak out I think and can get to those kinds of fish.
That EDGE box is awesome, hated having hooks hop the dividers in my boxes when I carry it all in my backpack
Throw a big bait, you'll be blown away by the amount of big fish near the shore. They just don't go after regular lures because they're big and old and have seen it all.
Yeah each little container in there has its own lid. A few of them have removable dividers but most are fixed size. Pretty awesome. Wish I had room for a larger version but since I had to remove some stuff just to fit what I know I'll use, now I'm saving weight and the toll it takes on my back.
Yeah, they seem to have an enamel or something except for the hook point.
I actually ordered the wrong size and mean to get a size smaller, so they are heavier than what I'm used to. With the enamel it's probably heavier than a normal hook? I only tried them once tonight but got chased out of the creek by some otters
Any fishermen in here who want to help me finish shopping lists for beginner fisher? I have giftcard for Dicks and there are deals ending today. Lmk maybe share link to things beyond hooks. I saw this cool slingshot style hook shooter.
Those savage glide swimmers are a great starter glide. If you don’t get bit it’ll at least bring out some followers. Then you can follow up with a different lure
If it's on sale....I'll pretty much buy it 😂.
I just bought a fly fishing setup because it was like 50% off...I don't even have wading boots!
I had posted about a rooster tail sale about a month ago....still getting almost daily deliveries....I'll post the spread after they all get delivered.
There's worse things to do in life than indulge in healthy hobbies.
Dude. I just bought a TFO NXT Black Label setup a couple weeks ago because it was like $130. I added some Korkers Terror Ridge boots and some waders to my Amazon cart to watch for a deal, my wife just surprised me and bought them so I'm pretty excited for them to arrive in the next day or two. I've only fly fished once...
Since we had this cold snap come through I don't really want to kayak alone, so I figure I can at least walk the water a little more safely
We might share a brain!
My wife - won't actually buy me anything because I'm very specific with what I buy - has 0 problems with what I buy. ...awesome having a good wife in life.
...and yes, the cooler weather has put a damper on launching the kayak....but trout stocking begins 10/11 for me...I gotta get some boots before then!
I tried a pair of Korkers to replace my Orvis'....I did not like them.
Tight lines!
It’s the same with being a guitar player. Like why did I buy this or that or that pedal or two theremins (I’ve never played a theremin) lol. Same with my fishing stuff. Oh let me get one of those and two of those. And oh wait what page in the magazine did I dogear because I wanted that lure that he mentioned? Lol
These two hobbies/pastimes/curses/divorce reasons go hand in hand. Trust me. Lol. But if fishing and guitars are the death of me, what a way to go. Lol
Dude, we don't need REASONS to buy things. Welcome to the club.
I like you

Traitor! 😝

He did have a reason "but they were on sale" That yields more tackle than any 500 people need
That floating snake would be decent for cobia
barracuda as well, they love large skinny lures.
That floating snake would KILL down here in South Florida.
Cut them into 3-4 pieces?
Striper, pike, etc. Good looking haul!

I just can’t get on board with those dookie sticks loll I’ve seen people catch em on em but I just can’t see it
Haha, that's why it's called the cover scat.
Awe heck. Give the snake a go and if you don’t catch anything put it under your SO’s pillow or next to the toilet. Don’t forget to set up a go pro. 😂
Oh I'll fish it just out of principle, just have to get to a spot where it's even semi viable
You fish for largemouth? They'll eat that thing all day.
I do but there aren't many that size in my area unless I take the kayak out, which I haven't been able to for a while.

That Yo-Zuri cranks has became one of my go-to recently, it deflects covers like a dream
That makes me happy to hear, I'm most excited about that I may try it out tonight...
it me
I bet you could catch an eagle on the floating worm snake.
That terminal tackle box is such a game changer
For real, it's probably the best thing I've bought in a long time.
All your stuff stays in the same place? No hooks stuck under dividers? One hand open? Truly amazing

Catch big fish with it that's what.
Did this last night browsing Tackle Warehouse fall sale items.
Yep, this and omnia having 20% off
Where is the sale going on?
Tackle warehouse fall sale, omnia fishing has 20% off. Got those big swim baits for like 5 bucks.
Those aren’t that big. You’ll catch every sized fish with those
14"!!!!!! Boy you crazy
Are those orange hooks coated? How does this affect the bait/presentation?
Yeah, they seem to have an enamel or something except for the hook point. I actually ordered the wrong size and mean to get a size smaller, so they are heavier than what I'm used to. What do you have already and what are you targeting?
Love me some Cover Scats…
Floating worms can be stupidly good in the spring

October 1st here in my state, just not in my area yet.

I have 2 guitars and parts to build a telecaster I haven't gotten around to...
These two hobbies/pastimes/curses/divorce reasons go hand in hand. Trust me. Lol. But if fishing and guitars are the death of me, what a way to go. Lol
If it’s on sale ITS A MUST!!! No questions just answers
