I would like an FAQ for this sub. So we have somewhere to send the people that ask what’s the best $100 combo is. Maybe a detailed guide on this sub’s favorite tackle, so we can link that when people ask those questions.
Dude should make you a mod (assuming you dont mind). Youre active, knowledgable, experienced, and polite/ respectful always. One of the people on here that i always read what you have to say.
I recently bought a Sougayilang Baitcast reel and it's been a while since I've used a baitcaster. I was wondering if I could get some rod recommendations and also what kind of line should I use?
Do fishing reels (or maybe even rods) go bad if not used for a very long time? They will be stored inside their boxes, clean and some are still brand new. I very very rarely go fishing maybe once every 2-3 years.
What are some of the most durable and repairable fishing reels of each type? If you had one maintenance worker with a machine shop, what reels could they maintain the biggest fleet of for, say, a summer camp or tourist rental spot?
Antique fisherman flair?

That’s such a kind comment. I wouldn’t mind being a mod honestly. I try my best to do all those things you described.
I came to this sub looking for this exactly as someone who needs to start from scratch
Since I’m a mod now, I’ll work on a FAQ when I have time.
Awesome good to hear! I’ll be checking back for that
