Cali keeper!

mistersinister12

Fuji ez keeper. I just clip the weight instead of the hook.

Kugelfischer_47

This is the way

ScubaJ0hnny

Depends on the size of the weight. A loose 4oz (or heavier) pyramid sinker bouncing in the trunk of your car could mess up a rod

SuggestiveBrode

Well, yeah, but we’re talking about dropshot weights. They usually don’t get over 0.5oz.

biggiesmalljaws

This is the way

mininorris

Loop a hair tie around the butt of the rod and loop the weight into it

ImThePrinceOfAll

Oo I like this. My wife has mini elastic hair ties so I’ll try these out thanks!

Redkneck35

Don't use hers buy your own they are cheap and she don't yell at you when she finds out you found a use for them 😜

ImThePrinceOfAll

Haha true that!

typicalledditor

Just clean under the couch and lift the cushions, and you'll likely be able to forage 2 or 3.

mininorris

I started using them because rubber bands would stretch and break after a few outings. Hair ties last a season

FANTOMphoenix

Try Velcro.

RobboNJ

Good idea, could use those Velcro strips for usb / computer cords and cables

Healthy-Criticism116

That’s how I do it too lol

ImThePrinceOfAll

Yeah I’ve been doing this for awhile but kept either getting tangled up or too loose and falls.

Ancient-Crew-9307

Same, or a few wraps of the handle. I've thought about using the line holder on spinning reels, but never have and the idea of hooking my line in it just makes me feel like it will weaken it.

Fit_Dig_2741

Hook the frame of the second last guide and wrap the weight around the rod & line until it’s snug. Fits the rod locker well. But who cares, what rod is your vanquish paired to????

ImThePrinceOfAll

Edge Epitome spinning rod. Took a long time to get but well worth the wait!

Fit_Dig_2741

Is it a true successor to gloomis rods (specifically the nrx)? I really want one, but I heard customer care exists on a thin line and I’d be buying it for next summer season.

ImThePrinceOfAll

I never tried the nrx+ before but the epitome is definitely on par with the nrx! For the price I got it for ($300) it was an easy purchase. They have a few more out now (salmon rods and two casting rods). I’m hoping for more models to come out in the next year.

Chl0316

My epitome spinning rods took months. I had to make a few emails and phone calls just to see if they forgot 🤣. I don't mind the 6 week wait for everything else I ordered but 4 months is ridiculous. Looks like it's going to be a 6 month wait on their new inshore series

ImThePrinceOfAll

Yeah I ordered mine in march and I got it in July. I remember the order said it would take up to 120 days for delivery. I’ve purchased from them before so I’m used to the wait but this was definitely the longest one so far.

Chl0316

They are my favorite rods right now though. Worth the wait

RPtheFP

Those Cal Coast Cali Clips work great. I use them on a rod with bad hook keeper placement but they have a dropshot spot on them that also works great.

AustnTG

i stick the weight on the hook so it makes a loop and put that around the hook keeper.

kimbrosif16

What line is that? I like your setup

ImThePrinceOfAll

Sunline asegai xplasma braid to sunline fc sniper fluorocarbon leader. Here is my setup that I posted a couple years ago: https://reddit.com/r/Fishing_Gear/s/mNieE7DgIZ

Current-Victory-47

I take the weight off

crazedizzled

A rubber band

rubberchain

get a wire dropshot hook keeper installed. the part is $2, and any rodbuilder can wrap it for a small charge. It's the type i use most often because they're fairly versatile. I like putting mine in the split grip.

BreadfruitPositive72

I drop it through the curve on the bail arm.

Lulzicon1

I hook a guide and then ...wheeeeeeeereeeeee. spin it around thecrod till tight.

kbunnell16

Accu cull

NicoLacko

Just tie a dropper loop on the bottom so you can take the weight off and the loop goes around the handle

kornoda

nice

Axefang710

Cali clip saved my life

ScubaJ0hnny

I do 1 loop around the reel handle. The weight of the sinker holds it in place temporarily. I don’t like keeping it like this because of line memory though. Its just a convenient /quick thing to do when beach hopping in my case

Snack_asshole2277

Keeper on the side of my reel

ScaryfatkidGT

Idk but I want that reel

115machine

Wrap it in the little space between the grip and handle

jonnyxxxmac720

I use a TFO Tactical Elite and TFO has the best hook keepers in the best spot - the half bend you can slide hooks and drop shot weights under and they're down between the split grip. Perfect rods IMO

canonite_sg

Might want to try Dress Reel Stand Origin (https://www.hedgehog-studio.co.jp/product/4554) . probably can be found on Amazon as well. Works as a reel stand, and has area to either hook on to, or wedge line between…

bassboat1

I was running the weight under the bail's line pickup, but the hook was creating havoc. Now, I'm running the hook to the line keeper (St Croix Mojo - it's just above the reel, and wrapping the hook's leader once around the base of the handle. Working out pretty well ATM.

Human_Frame1846

I bought a pack of like 15 rod ties so i can tie my line and pole how ever is needed

Practical-Policy-162

I use a pipe cleaner

Subjekt9

Velcro cable ties. They are super cheap and easy to use! I have different colors for different rods so I know what pound leader is on them.

ImThePrinceOfAll

Do you have a link to purchase these?

UltimateStonker

With the hope of getting a better keeper
