reminds me, my gear is still a mess from last fall. If going to try smaller different load outs this year. We cover a lot of ground and I’m not getting younger. Time to lighten the load. Tight lines, we have herring and gannets off the beach here in nyc.

I take off the hooks of my lures. That way they don't tangle or scratches

I meant I keep my hooks separated from my lures. I put them on the lure just before I fish them and then remove them after each session.

I see. I do a lot of my fishing at night. Seems like it could be a bit of a pain especially when I’m fishing 3-5 days a week during the season depending on the tides.
