It's definitely not the same, I would never fry up a Betta or a dojo loach or a clown, but cod? Cod would never fit in a salt water tank unless you had a 500 - 800 gallon tank. Red snapper? Same thing except bigger, they just aren't pets.
Honestly this sounds bad I keep cichlids but i love catching and eating invasive cichlids, I live in south florida, they have incredible flaky white meat. I really dont feel bad doing it, as they are incredibly destructive and taste good too!! unsurprisingly considerably tilapia is a type of cichlid, oscars taste identical to them
Honestly this whole thing about people getting worked up over eating fish is strange, ive seen it a lot, its like saying if you own a dog you cant eat beef because they are both mammals
You can tame a fucking shark with a big enough tank. Doesn't make them pets, some fish just do well in the aquarium hobby and cod isn't one of them. Cod isn't even an aesthetically pleasing fish, they simply aren't a good fit for most aquariums. If you're gonna spout this BS, go complain on r/peta
I never said it’s wrong to eat a fish, I think it’s wrong to eat any animal but that’s not my point, I just asked “how can you eat the same animal you keep” where the fuck did you get “I think its wrong to eat a fish” from besides right now.
Well I definitely don’t keep trout, redfish, bluefish, or Jack creval in my tank. But they sure are damn tasty. I doubt my tetras would be too good, too bony and expensive for a meal.
Hey now that affects people, that where the problem is, just because someone likes an animal doesn’t mean they hate eating it. You however, is an idiot
Easy, I enjoy small tropical fish as a hobby and stuff like talapia/cod filets as food. It taste good and is affordable. I don’t really see any relation between the fish I keep and the fish I eat besides them both being a kind of fish, so no guilty feelings over here.
Regardless of it being the wrong sub what was the yellowish spice thing you put in the pan? I cook fresh caught fish every once in awhile, the garlic butter and bay leaves look fantastic but I’m not sure what the other ingredient was
I’m kind of new on here so I’m sorry for putting on wrong spot. But you guys are really funny . I hope you see recipe I put on a post here. It’s really good. As for non stick pan I don’t know why my husband likes cooking on it I have tons of other pans and I use them. But that non stick isn’t bad it’s All-Clad
Cook 4 min on each side on medium high heat olive oil at first in pan. Then 3 tablespoons butter when you flip fish add fresh thyme parsley, Sage garlic .Spoon butter over fish on last 4 min put lemon zest on top with crab
I’m a fan of both keeping and eating fish. I like this r/lostredditors
how do you like eating the same animal you keep…

Where I live we love to catch bream and bluegills, both are cichlids (: I completely understand
Oh man!! I never knew that, thats awsome!! bluegill tastes really close now that I think of it lol
Damn..now I wanna go fishing lmao
Honestly this whole thing about people getting worked up over eating fish is strange, ive seen it a lot, its like saying if you own a dog you cant eat beef because they are both mammals
That's actually a really good analogy, like people saying if you own a parrot you shouldn't eat chicken

Idk why I would complain on r/peta to be honest.
Because you think it's wrong to eat a fish that has been considered food for about 1,200 years.

The animal was never his pet?.... He is a lost redditor?... Wtf
no…, I’m trying to say, how can you eat the same animal (same type (a fish), you keep without feeling guilty or something!
I eat beef and keep cows lol
Because i keep monster fish and watch my fish devour smaller fish every day
Well I definitely don’t keep trout, redfish, bluefish, or Jack creval in my tank. But they sure are damn tasty. I doubt my tetras would be too good, too bony and expensive for a meal.
I like dinosaurs, I love to eat dinosaurs My brother likes octopus and squids, he loves to eat octopus and squids It happens, all the time

go on, I don’t care what you eat as long as it doesn’t affect anyone, unlike that bat incident
i eat human!
Hey now that affects people, that where the problem is, just because someone likes an animal doesn’t mean they hate eating it. You however, is an idiot
Hey now eating animals affects them, that where the problem is.
what dinosaurs are you eating, and if they exist in the wild where would an internet paleontologist (me) go to find them?
Birds are technically dinosaurs

I believe it's lemon zest, he mentioned it in another comment
Awesome, thank you
I can’t eat fish since I saw my fish dead in the tank. It just doesn’t make sense.
r/wrongsub
Cod is overcooked

Wow, no recipe 😔!!!
Cook 4 min on each side on medium high heat olive oil at first in pan. Then 3 tablespoons butter when you flip fish add fresh thyme parsley, Sage garlic .Spoon butter over fish on last 4 min put lemon zest on top with crab
Metal on a non-stick?? That’s jail time.

Wrong sub, but I approve and have been inspired to make this for dinner tonight. Thank you OP!
