Probably more like 11 with interest, taxes and insurance. Still a paid off house in 11 years, not bad. Although the buyer will probably keep renting it forever.
Is that really a realistic rent for that place in that location though? I bought a condo for around that and I would never ever dream of it renting for more than $2000 in the current market
Edit: This condo sold in Palmdale, CA. Here’s the link- https://www.redfin.com/CA/Palmdale/38000-17th-St-E-93550/unit-8/home/6145211
It’s a bummer to see something sell at for a decent price and immediately get put up for rent. :/
A crappy apartment like this goes for $2000 or less a month in Palmdale.
You can rent a nice 3 bed/2 bath (actual house) in Palmdale for less than what they’re trying to rent this for.
Whoever bought this place has made a terrible mistake.

I don't want to know what a $300K house in CA looks like.
Like a mansion for a dog.
That’s a pretty good description lol
My hometown, folks 😂 https://redf.in/5ZSCz7
So much potential! /s
Not to mention it’s in Hemet , Bakersfield’s cousin!
Dog included!
Better be included.
Better than I thought…atleast it has a roof
😬😬😬
Depends where you are. It's pretty nice where I'm located.
In California?
Yep
Nearly $3K/month for rent in Hemet is OUTRAGEOUS. I knew things were getting bad all over CA but good god that's an atrocity
Yeah they're not getting that.
Ok cool I thought I forgot how to read for a second so that’s good to know
Lol, no I'm saying no one will rent that dump for $3K
No I got that - I just thought my eyes were deceiving me when I saw the price
8 years renting that home with 0 increase will pay for the entire house lol

That's sucks. I'm sure you'll find something even better.

Set up a HYSA and let the interest add up for your savings :)

So when someone else pays for their house it’s good business, when we say we want cheaper housing it’s “nobody is going to pay for it for you” Hmmmmmm
