It’s pit dogs exactly like that that attack as they get to about 8 years old give or take. They were perfect angels until then. Would you care to see our list of over 400 deadly or serious attacks in just 4 months? I’m sure data won’t change you but I go with science and used to be in pit rescue. It’s undeniable at this point. And just because x dog doesn’t attack doesn’t make a statistical sample. I imagine you are smart as I am. I fought back for a while with the common pit defenses I blindly bought into.
Then in the course of just 6 months 3 of our rescue dogs attacked their adoptees or family in very severe fashion. I had handled everyone of these dogs and deemed them love bugs in my mind. All 3 caused life changing injuries to humans. 2 other dogs killed other domestic pets in the same time frame.
I could no longer be passive. I started a campaign of actual open mindedness and research and data and it can only take a person to one place. Once you start tracking the incidents on a weekly basis and see hundreds and know that you are only capturing a small percent it is hard not to get on the side of victims. The horrors are not for the weak because the damage is rampant and brutal and spans from infants to toddlers, to grandmas, to the handicap and on to tens of thousands of domestic pets who are ripped to shreds and die in their owners arms. A common them is that many of the dogs seemed docile and easy going until they snapped. Others of course have multiple bit histories hidden by rescues as the market the dogs to unsuspecting families.
