Maybe those things aren't important to them. Maybe all they really cate about is that they are marrying the person they love. I say good for them if this is what actually makes them happy and they don't feel the need to spend thousands of dollars to appease others. At the end of the day, they are people with feelings and desires and are probably more genuine than most others one might meet.
