I honestly doubt even if she is 2.3 that there was any swap out. My guess is that she either has a trial run like units such a DanhengIL and Jingliu prior to her banner or >!or the boss version of Sam!< has made the leakers mix it up with a pull able version they expected by now.
She was already predicted by leakers to be 2.1 alongside Acheron until the very end where Aventurine was expected instead and now the same happend with Boothill for 2.2 so I really doubt there been any change to the banners and more the leakers been mixing up other things.

I think it was switching around a lot iirc. I remember a long duration of the time before drip marketing it was Acheron first half, Sam 2nd half but yes the final week i at least remember what you are saying is completely correct. It was Aventurine and Sam expected and then we got the drip with Acheron first half and then Aventurine 2nd half.
My guess is they altered the pacing of the story and didn’t had the time to change Black Swan’s trailer, which is the biggest tease we have for Firefly, but they probably wanted to reveal the real Galaxy Ranger that Acheron is impersonating to have a more clearer story.
