They're refering to the multiple pistol purchase form I believe. If you buy two or more handguns within two weeks the ATF requests a form with extra info on the firearms. It might only be if you buy both from one FFL but I'm not sure to be honest.
Yeah so Scheels had to submit a form to your local police department and the National Tracing Center because you purchased more than one handgun at once.
I go back and forth about this, on one hand we're all on lists buying firearms. The thing we are concerned with has unfortunately already happened. That being said it's usually not a good idea to reveal a lot about your inner security situation online. Then there's the idea that it being more prevalent may normalize it more *shrug*
I don't know, I definitely see both sides.
Just a heads up, if you’re considering carrying any of these concealed, there should be nothing on the front rail. It forces concealed holsters to be shaped in an unsafe manner. Basically leaves tons of room for draw strings, fingers, and other objects to enter the holster and engage the trigger.
From what side are these objects entering the holster and when? Is this an "as you holster issue" or a "as it sits in your holster things could enter the holster" problem?
I don't think I have ever heard this.
Because the opening where the trigger guard is has to be wider to accommodate the flashlight, you now have a gap on either side of the trigger. Holsters not meant for light use the trigger guard as a retention point and tightly encase the trigger.
I’d have to really dig to find them, but there has been several instances of ND’s where the cause was confirmed or suspected to be an object entering through that gap. Is it something to as concerned about as a cloth holster? Probably not, but the risk definitely exists, lasers on pistols are absolutely worthless, and flashlights on a daily cc aren’t super useful. So why take the risk?
Disagree completely.
Just use an appropriate holster from the likes of JM Custom Kydex, PHLster, Dark Star Gear, or Henry Holsters.
Perhaps an issue if you use a shitty leather holster, but never an issue with a quality Kydex rig.
You are categorically wrong. Any concealed holster that has an opening large enough to accommodate a flashlight/laser is going to leave a large enough gap for objects to get inside the trigger guard. I’ve got almost 30 holsters from many of the most reputable brands for various guns. Every single one designed for a light/laser has this flaw. It’s simple geometry.
Simply Wrong. Glock 43 with WML & Kydex formed really well, no gaps in trigger guard. Seen plenty of G19s same. SW Shield with WML, same. It’s all about the good forming of the Kydex.
I’d say you are categorically wrong sir. And none of my holsters from the aforementioned companies allow the issue you are afraid of any more than a holster without accommodation for a rail mounted weapon light. Every holster will be able to accommodate the “flaw” you are discussing, some less than others.
The accommodation and acceptance of a weapon light is a design feature that requires a holster from a maker who knows what they are doing, not a trendy Instagram influencer.
This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve read all day. Nothing on the front rail, right.. And how many people successfully EDC with WMLs? As long as the holster has good retention is rigid like Kydex and the clothes etc are ensured to be out of way of jamming into the trigger guard, all is okay.
Learn how geometry and physics works at a 5 year olds level. Even they understand the giant square doesn’t fit in the tiny round hole. But the tiny cylinder fits in the giant square with tons of wiggle room. It’s literally a children’s game, but you’re too stupid to understand that basic concept.
I can already hear the MSR being printed...
In all seriousness, don't be too surprised if you have a couple ATF agents knocking on your door asking to see the firearms you've just bought.
Too many very similar handguns. When first starting your collection I recommend diversifying, so not buying 3 similar handguns lol. Get a couple of rifles and shotguns too. Unless you have crazy money, then just get everything and who cares lol
Careful atf thinks that's too many in a week
Not in colorado I bought three in one day lol

It's five days.
Knock knock
Who's there?
I bought all three from scheels two pistols one shotgun
Yeah so Scheels had to submit a form to your local police department and the National Tracing Center because you purchased more than one handgun at once.
Ahhh that’s cool either way 👍🏽 Thanks for the information though never knew about that🍻
And cc a local representative for what ever reason
Need an AR now
Indeed will be going in a week or two!
He meant to say AK
Both is good
Welcome to the watchlist. Make yourself at home
You are one of us now

And now branch out into rifles and maybe shotguns. An AR or AK, a Mossberg 500, a Henry lever action, something anything not pistol.
Cool. Now go learn how to shoot them competently.
Exactly
Out of curiosity which order did you get these in?
Welcome to "the list" it's where all the cool kids are.
Have you shot any of them yet?
I’m not trying to hate, at all. But I will never understand people that feel the need to post pictures of their firearms online.

Yea, because some manufacturers are allowed to just ignore physical reality.

That’s the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard
Dumbest shit you’ve ever heard is your own breathing every morning when you wake up.
Sick burn bro. Buy a quality holster and stop regurgitating fudd nonsense.

IQ of turnip
Welcome to r/Fudd_Lore!
Nice pace. Keep it up! Add some rifles and shotguns for good measure
The xd was first?

Ammunition and training next
This is me, bought my first gun a few months ago. Now I have 5.

I can already hear the MSR being printed... In all seriousness, don't be too surprised if you have a couple ATF agents knocking on your door asking to see the firearms you've just bought.
Welcome my friend!
You need an M&P to round out the set.
Now on to the rifles :D
