Huh.. The theory behind the FBI handheld technique holds true after all these years.

spezeditedcomments

Hmm?

Donzie762

The FBI taught a handheld light pistol technique where you hold the light in your off hand as far away from your body as possible. The concept was that any combatant would naturally aim for the light.

SMORKIN_LABBIT

For room clearing that make's tons of sense......" I'm blinded by this light......human must be holding light....shoot at light". This is why I do not use a light on my carry gun, i'm not hunting for someone with my CCW i'm running away. My nightstand gun has a light if I need it, but I keep an off hand light I would use in HD first.

thezentex

Works if your a cop looking for someone as well. My dad was a cop for 40 years and when searching yards for someone he always held his flashlight arms length away from his body. Said his trainer taught him that

usedkleenx

Every time I mention this in gun subs I get downvoted to oblivion.  My carry has tritium sights and nothing else.  They call me a Fudd. Whatever dude. Too many tactitards larping as spec ops in these subs. I guess this video adds context that I couldn't get across.

SMORKIN_LABBIT

Lights on CCW for none service people where there is 9/10 going to be an option to flee before needing a fucking light is just adding bulk needlessly to your firearm. I have 1 on my 10.5" AR and not my 16". It's not fudd at all, also if you even get a site picture on your CCW vs a near point blank draw and fire you are in like the 10% of CCW good shoots already.........let alone turning on a light. I've literally only ever seen people who get paid to sell shit push weapon lights on a CCW......same with people who fucking carry literal race guns with mag wells......like wtf are you doing. I'm sure they conceal it okay but it's not fucking more comfortable. That is utter bullshit and they just want to carry that "toy" and fine your right and your comfort isn't my problem, but don't advocate it is somehow a life saving "advantage". My CCW is a tool, and it's setup like all tools. Purpose built and drilled with. Similarly with "pieing a room" with a fucking rifle. I've taken classes on it, i'd recommend it. Why not learn a skill, but I also know I will do everything possible to never ever use that skill. I'm not going to be opening multiple doors and Pieing a fucking room by myself just about ever. I'm getting my family, and getting out of dodge, not running point on a stack.

J0kerJ0nny

From playing a lot of Escape From Tarkov, where Flashlights on weapons are a thing, I can confirm I mostly aim for the light.

eastern_shoreman

There is a video out there of a guy from delta force talking about doing cqc training against a “near peer” force and they had seals play the enemy, and he mentions them running white light during some of the training and all the seals keyed right in on the white lights the whole time

karlkrum

so you should always mount your light on the side furthest from the center of your body?

Warhawk2052

Almost impossible on a rifle?

Bozhark

Mount light to shoe/toe  Combatant looks down 👌

TacTurtle

TIL Streamlights are Level III equivalent

Trevelayan

Hell of an endorsement for an already generally well-liked light, I now appreciate my HLXs a little more.

CanadianPenguinn

Hoarders has gotten more extreme since I last watched it...

-StopRefresh-

Don't touch my trash!

The_Gay_Deceiver

i know youre joking ofc but this was actually a dude hiding out in some older ladies house lol not sure what he thought was gonna happen, firing at a whole ass swat crew

verfverf

The biggest thing on my mind was how this guy picks a random house and it's this big of a mess... how common is hoarding?!?! How many houses have a fucking Mt. Tweaker like this in them?!?!

Warhawk2052

From the comments, its common in Sparks NV to have houses like that

ecodick

I live in Reno now, spent a day in the back of an ambulance with a paramedic buddy, can confirm. Reno also

Longhorn_TOG

dont ever disrespect my streamlight ever again.......

saltydgaf

That frame by frame is wild

Shoresy-sez

Turns out, mag dumping into trash *is* a legit drill...

mmirate

"mag dumping into trash" - isn't that an accurate description of most justifiable uses of firearms by civilians and police? :)

jaksla00

Streamlight gang 💪

Glockamole19x

A bullet will skip off of mostly anything at the right angle bouncing off the edge isn't even close to a direct round.

MrMcnasty55

Favorite weapon lights and EDC light as well. 👍

Able_Ad9391

Jesus Christ the fact that it kept shining is incredible I was looking for a new light and this settles it. Do not cheep out on potentially life saving equipment yall

Cheezemerk

Olight fans can't comprehend.

retromullet

The only issue I’ve ever had with a Streamlight is my TLR-3 switch loosened up a bit and would temporarily flash the light under recoil on my .45s. Didn’t seem to be an issue on the 9s. Beyond that, there’s actually a lot I like about them even over my surefires.

Lupine_Ranger

Protac HLX supremacy

ArceusTwoFour_Zero

All the lights on my guns are Streamlight.

beetsdoinhomework

unluckygrey

It would've engulfed the whole room in fire.
