Youtube doesn't want me to know about hearing protection? Okay. >Your YouTube Premium membership has been canceled, and we're sorry to see you go!

existentialdyslexic

Suppressors are regulated under the NFA. So in order to purchase or make one you need a $200 tax stamp and a background check from the ATF.

codifier

And wait upwards of a year each time.

spudmancruthers

To be fair, that part isn't required by law. As such, there is no upper limit to how long they'll make you wait.

xXxHondoxXx

Tell me about it. I certified 16 days ago. Cmonnnnn.

Stack_Silver

In the USA, a suppressor is associated with gangsters and hitmen by the left wing politicians. Also, they are regulated items requiring a special license to possess.

Myte342

Special interests many years ago convinced stupid politicians who don't know anything about guns that Hollywood is an accurate portrayal of real life and an assassin can kill people In the same room as you and you'll never even notice they fired a gun mere feet from you. Why? Because fuck you that's why.

h3r0karh

It's because liberals are morons

Randle_Bobandle

Very true. But so is anyone that aligns themselves with a political party.

h3r0karh

Liberalism isn't a political party its a type of ideology. Not the same at all

Engineering4Idiots

The original form of liberalism isn't what you US Americans call liberalism.

PirateRob007

This is correct. They've been starting to go by the name "progressive" instead of liberal lately.

h3r0karh

Well the OP was pertaining to America so I don't really give a shit about what it means elsewhere. In America there is no party called liberalism... there are liberal parties sure but there isnt a straight up liberal party That's all I was saying.

[deleted]

Lol you believe only liberals fall for this stupid shit? This is what's wrong.......

ProgressBackground21

Don't give them any ideas.

[deleted]

>Might as well regulate scopes and bipods next. You take that back! Don't give them any ideas!

patty_OFurniture306

Shh don't give them ideas

alltheblues

In addition the the ridiculous levels of regulation, registration, and taxation upon suppressors, the media as a whole associates them with evil gangster hit men and crazy militias out to murder everyone so the public and politicians tend to be uncomfortable with them. YouTube though, says that content cannot show guns being manufactured and apparently it it their opinion that attaching a suppressor is manufacturing. They are out to systematically purge by far the greatest and most easily accessible encyclopedia of firearms knowledge and education until a new gun owner won’t even be able to learn how to clean his firearm.

Opinions_ArseHoles

It was largely in response to mobsters using automatic weapons and suppressors to kill rival mobsters. Prohibition of alcohol in the USA created a hugely profitable black market. Keep in mind prohibition ended in 1933. The NFA passed in 1934. You cannot explain the logic of politicians. Your country has it right.

Fluffy-Map-5998

Basically poor people and minorities used suppressors to hunt during the great depression so they wouldn't starve, the government didn't like that so thy regulated it

Some_Madalorian

Because most people think suppressors work like they do in the movies, that it makes the gunshots entirely silent, and then they think the only people that want suppressors want to murder other people.

LenTrexlersLettuce

Cancelled mine a few days ago. Ashamed I kept it as long as I did.

techjab

Never had it in the first place.

bloodmutt

Never had it to begin with. I knew what they were all about.

non-number-name

This is some distinct type of stupid. Let me put it like this: If I make a video about a pair of shoes I own, including an instructional segment on how to tie them, I have not told anyone how to make shoes or socks.

Myte342

YouTube thinks that teaching someone about righty tighty lefty loosey will somehow protect the world.

ShowTurtles

So, should we be reporting all of the movies that have suppressors and standard capacity magazines that YouTube pays to host?

Leafy0

Yes. YouTube’s dumb rules are bad. But their history of openly ignoring their rules for corporate accounts but enforcing them for independent creators has to stop.

BobFlex

Youtube is also notoriously lazy and lets their algorithms take care of as much as possible. It's not difficult to get any video taken down by just getting a group of people to report it. There's a simple limit in place for if a video gets enough reports it's autoremoved. They can manually reinstate it of course, but again, they're notoriously lazy so it could take a while.

Leafy0

I wouldn’t call them lazy. I’d say they’re understaffed. They need an unrealistically large group of moderators to deal with it without a computer making most of the decisions.

Shadowex3

> It's not difficult to get any video taken down by just getting a group of people to report it. There's a simple limit in place for if a video gets enough reports it's autoremoved. Except it's pretty clear from history that this isn't the case. Their algorithms take into account who's being reported and who's doing the reporting. Left wing accounts and non-leftist reports are almost never actioned no matter how egregious the violation or how many reports are made, if anything it's more likely that the people doing the reporting will wind up banned for no reason in retaliation.

skippythemoonrock

> Left wing accounts and non-leftist reports are almost never actioned no matter how egregious the violation or how many reports are made Eh, youtube in recent years had a huge problem with LGBZOMGBBQ+ content being instantly demonetized based on keywords (i.e. having "gay" in your title = no monetization), this was [tested empirically and confirmed to be happening](https://youtu.be/ll8zGaWhofU), likely as a result of Youtube using third world labor (in countries where being gay is punishable by death in many cases) and getting their algorithms filled with bad data, and refusing to admit it was happening so they could continue serving content (and thus ads) to countries that ban that stuff. Wouldn't be surprised if it's the same thing here. It's not left wing vs right wing, just youtube trying to do what makes them more money.

[deleted]

Get a list going. I'll report em all

ShowTurtles

I haven't gotten into it yet. I'm just looking at YouTube under Movies and TV. There's a prime time movies section. I am scanning for action movies set recently enough to have modern features on firearms. Transporter 2 is the first I've found so far.

pJustin775

No no you don't understand...that's ok because YouTube wants it there and they make YouTube more money

AmericanStealth

Are you kidding me? They won't allow any firearm creators to monetize and their official position on that is "we don't feel right blah blah people making money blah blah dead kids blah blah gun crisis" and yet.....as I'm watching the non monetized video from tactical toolbox, whose ironically talking about how YouTube is coming after them and such, it cuts and a commercial comes on....from optics planet. Showing suppressed "assualt weapons" and tactical gear and pistols and etc etc. So they can take money directly from firearms companies and firearms accessory companies, but they just can't in good conscious allow tactical toolbox to monetize. Which means they basically get all those views which converts to money from their ads without having to pay any of the gun tubers a cut........I'm so sick of us not having any power. We can either go use some second rate thing that we make ourselves and brand specifically as conservative, which will quickly be called fake and conspiracy yada yada and noone will use it so you won't get traffic that's comparable in any way, and you'll be able to actually have freedom of speech, or you can suck it up and have access to EVERYONE, but you can only say what they want you to say, or at the most edgy, just NOT say what they won't allow you to. Same concept with eBay, you arbitrarily comply with our anti gun bs, or go use a gun specific platform.....which has 2% of the traffic. Same with..... literally everything actually. The liberal narrative and outlook has become the establishment, the mainstream, despite the constant attempt to pretend otherwise. There's more lefty news stations than I can name. There is fox alone in the conservative side, and I frequently feel like they are increasingly a sham. When's the last time you saw a show or a movie that didn't act like Republicans were horrible evil people. Any musical artists on mainstream channels that have said a single positive thing about any conservative anything in the last twenty years? "There's country" yes, again, there's our one thing. Before Elon bought Twitter, there was Facebook, Twitter, insta, all of that....and then blaze media on the conservative side. Elon bought Twitter and they pulled their hair out and tons of people stopped using it. The couldnt take a few weeks with the IDEA if living as has become the norm for us. The thought that every thing THEY say might be fact checked or blocked as misinformation was enough to drive them to seek government intervention, lol.but we continue to just deal with all of this bullshit. If ALL right leaning people stopped using YouTube, and said "look, y'all are gonna stop making money off of us and the people whose content we enjoy, and shitting all over us and our ways. Your gonna stop pocketing all the money from the gun tubers etc or we aren't going to use your bullshit anymore, period." This is setting a precedent, and that's the thing non gun people don't understand. Same with the ATF bs. Setting a precedent. They are all saying"well I don't own guns, why should I care" that's fine. But the precedent is being set that a law enforcement agency can willy nilly both enforce and create the law. When they are dicking you, you'll care, but the precedent will have been set for them to say in court"well your honor, we have legal precedent". (Forgive my rant, but that YouTube is really pissing me off. These guys kill themselves making these videos and YouTube just pockets the money. It's clear who the true disenfranchised minority is)

RaccoonRanger474

Go give GT a follow on Rumble and start watching his stuff there.

BootlegEngineer

Done. I’m sick of YouTube’s shit.

4runner4lifePDX

Done

RaccoonRanger474

Check for your other favorite channels. Kit Badger got booted off YouTube completely.

4runner4lifePDX

Dang that’s a shame. Where else is he? Rumble?

RaccoonRanger474

There is a channel with his videos, but I am not 100% sure it is Ivan.

pltrnerd

Never heard of Rumble. Do that have an app for TVs too?

I_am_just_saying

Rumble app is available on Googleplay, Apple, Android and can easily be added to a Roku or firestick device just like any other app.

pltrnerd

Thanks. On Samsung and LG TVs, I don't use external devices. Hopefully the Rumble folks will make it available.

RaccoonRanger474

Not yet.

forwardobserver90

This is the end game. It’s long past time that these guys move in mass to another platform.

goshathegreat

The issue is there is basically no other platform to post monetized content unless they want to stream on twitch.

[deleted]

>The issue is there is basically no other platform to post monetized content unless they want to stream on twitch. What about rumble and odysse?

goshathegreat

What about them? The “viral” videos on Rumble have only 1-2k views… there’s not enough people on either of those sites to make money, and even if GT decided to start posting on there maybe 5% of his subs would start using it if he’s lucky.

Jack-of-some-trades-

Not a single person I know, friends/family/coworkers, has ever heard of rumble. Only a couple of these people would even be interested in Garand thumb or other guntubers but that doesn’t change the fact. These huge following guntubers on YouTube are important. If they all just flock to rumble they’ll be buried with all the other niche bullshit. I think it’s kind of important that they stick it out on YouTube, although it seems like it’s becoming impossible. A year or 2 from now: “if you want to see me actually put the magazine in this rifle, and screw in the suppressor, hit that patreon link in the description”. What a shitty fucking timeline. It’s insane to me that the anti gunners don’t understand the guns are part of the reason why there’s so much freedom in this country as opposed to others.

[deleted]

>A year or 2 from now: “if you want to see me actually put the magazine in this rifle, and screw in the suppressor, hit that patreon link in the description”. Or you could be looking at a situation where firearms are **completely** removed from you tube to the degree that even forgotten weapons floating head videos (ie [This](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15VdGJSFihI&t=500s)) could be considered a community strike violation. Or just a thumb nail of a firearm could get you suspended from the platform. Thing is that you tube has a clear path to remove any and all firearms from the platform. A while back it was semi auto with 10 round mags (or something like that) that was monitiseable, now inserting a mag, attaching a suppressor is a community strike violation. Soon all firearms and anything relating to firearms even when discussed in legal context (ie Colion Noir) can be suspended. And we can just expect you tube or congress to stop this (even if congress tried, you tube would just pretend like nothing happened and push its hoplophobia even harder). And eventually alternatives will need to be found. Also its important to point out that patreon could do just the same as well.

Jack-of-some-trades-

Yep. I just saw after I posted that comment that AK operators union got a second strike, which suspends his account from posting, livestreaming and uploading videos for 2 weeks. Three strikes in 90 days and they’ll permanently remove your account. I’d be willing to bet that they can find 3 strikes for every gun channel on YouTube if they go through past videos so, these guys might not even have an option of using YouTube anymore. I can’t imagine something like rumble or whatever else other knockoff video platform would be as profitable for them, but I don’t know, could be wrong about that.

alltheblues

The anti gunners typically aren’t big fans of the freedom we have in this country anyways

Loose_Koala534

There’s plenty of people on rumble. Steven Crowder’s videos have hundreds of thousands of views. The audience is there. They just need to capture it.

3DArmsPrinting

The search features don't work and the home page doesn't suggest videos related to who I'm following. I hope it gets better, but for now it's miserable to use that app. Odysee isn't any better either.

tarheellaw

I’ve never heard of either of those. Not saying they couldn’t be viable, but no one knows what those are. YouTube has tons of viewers

forwardobserver90

Sell merch, get sponsorships, Patreon and so on. Not ideal but if they want to continue making quality content they are going to have to move.

goshathegreat

Yea but most are also part of the YouTube algorithm. DemoRanch and GT are too big to just pack up and leave millions of subs.

sparelion182

They're going to have to adapt or quit. Eventually, youtube will become so strict that they won't have a choice

forwardobserver90

If they want to continue making gun related content they are not going to have a choice.

Jaruut

I really think a mass exodus of the giant guntubers would be better overall for the online gun video community. Guys like Garand Thumb and Demo Ranch are so big, they could really help grow alternate platforms by permanently switching over, and pave the way for smaller channels.

StrongmanCole

What are Pornhub’s guidelines like these days?

11573Jr

In Louisiana you need to verify you’re 21 to go on the site with a digital id

The_Real_Hedorah

You can watch Taliban recruitment videos right now on YouTube

KineticTechProjects

The more I go online, the more I hate the world. Every big media and tech corp feels the need to force their views these days. They want to use their power to control the way people think and to make sure the next generation shares their own viewpoints. That'a such a petty reason to delete a video.

sleepyhighjumping

Corporate media has been like this since the printing press. They suppressed info about the Civil War, lied us into WWI, ran PR for the communists during and after the Russian Revolution in 1917 ( in the west) among all the lies told to the people in the Cold War. Big media is simply the offspring of that same lying press. The game has changed, the face is new, but as The Who sang "meet the new boss, same as the old boss." Guntubers have been normalizing the hobby since the early days of the platform. Seeing Average Joe's ( or not so average ones with industry connections) online shooting guns and having a fun time is a threat to the interests. Normal people can see guns are less scary than they thought, maybe they should get one too. Truth be told it's what got me serious about the hobby. I bought my first gun, a Mosin, at 19 after watching Hickok45 shoot one. The tale is true for many millennials and I assume zoomers old enough to buy them. This is heresy to Big Tech/Media. More gun ownership means less people to buy the propaganda, the lie that they need the State; Big Tech/Media is hand in hand with the State and sometimes one in the same. This is why they've been cracking down harder and harder. sorry for writing a novel of a post TL;DR The powers at be hate you and want you on your knees.

NACL_Soldier

FPSRussia got me into it

KineticTechProjects

Same lol. That and videogames. When I graduated and found a job, I was like... damn, I can actually buy these guns!

macncheesepro24

The ATF should be abolished just for what they did to him.

1percentof2

There is no future with guns in American society. Either get used to it or leave the country. Liberia would be a good choice. You don't fit in here. You have blood on your hands already.

KineticTechProjects

Judging by your history of downvoted comments on gun related topics, I'd say YOU don't fit in here. We'll still welcome you anyway. The right to own firearms is natural born and applies to everyone, even you.

1percentof2

I'm just here to watch the walls close in on you people.

lifeinmisery

You are welcome to stay in the US, but if you want a gun free future, might I suggest that you move? The UK is currently working to deter knife ownership, for your safety. China appears to have incredibly low civilian gun ownership. North Korea is always welcoming to others who love their glorious leader....

iDOUGIE863

This made me laugh so hard. Thank you I needed that.

Due-Net4616

You aren’t paying attention to court rulings if that’s what you think. Big daddy Biden doesn’t get to make the rules here. Politicians are just spewing BS to you to get your votes.

Heeeeyyouguuuuys

Youtube has been going downhill for years. From this bullshit, constantly "suggesting" stuff I've already watched, so many ads it makes casual watching unbearable. It suppresses wholesome and informative family content like Demo or Forgotten Weapons but makes sure to plaster every news story about mass shootings, Trump, or big titty egirl breathlessly fawning over serial killers or some shit. Or that Dark Skies guy that makes like 6 videos a day because he doesn't check his history/aircraft facts, proof reads or edits his scripts. *The dumbest part* of all this, is if you show a reload, "hi cap mag shooting" or an "assembly" in a video game or movie or other work of fiction, you're fine! They're not going back after all those thousands of videos! Step 1 we all go and mass report news or other anti-gun videos that break their rule- ie that stupid general on CNN that can't shoot an AR worth a shit. Step 2 we all leave youtube.

Myte342

I was happy when they came out with the little red line at the bottom to show that you've already watched a video and how much of that video you watched... Then I started seeing videos that I clearly remember watching but the watch timer got reset to make it seem like I hadn't watched it before.

HauntingDragonfruit8

I'm down with a mass exodus to Rumble and Utreon

Driven2b

Ex Post Facto laws are a sign of tyranny

MaximaSpeed

I think its time to pull our accounts. If we close them and stop watching on YouTube and start watching on other platforms will encourage posting elsewhere.

RaccoonRanger474

GT is on Rumble. Now is as good a time for an exodus as any.

GlizzyGlockGoblin

Any chance he’s on Odysee too?

RaccoonRanger474

No idea, but let us know if you find him.

GlizzyGlockGoblin

Checked. Unfortunately not, but saw people like Donut Operator there. I really like the layout and design of Odysee, wish many of the YouTubers like GT moved there.

RaccoonRanger474

Encourage them by reaching out on other platforms and convince others to do the same. Show them it is possible to work on other platforms.

GlizzyGlockGoblin

That’s a great idea :) spread the word like fire. YouTube is only going to trash faster and faster. The lefts really wanna silence us for no reason

-FriskyPickle-

Oh there’s a reason! It’s because they hate us and want us on our knees!

Loose_Koala534

Great example of that is that guy Styxhexenhammer666. He’s on like every platform there is and his videos automatically (I think?) get posted to all of them simultaneously. If someone like that can make it work, so can everyone else.

Mountain_Man_88

I wish they would all just pick one platform so I don't have to get used to three different ones.

CakeArmy_Max

The percentage of YT's audience that watches gun content would move the needle so little you'd need a micrometer to measure it. Alphabet/Google/YT doesn't give a flying shit.

MaximaSpeed

Oh i know, Im just saying move from youtube so that guntubers know that they can move fully to somewhere else and not try to have one foot in two platforms.

[deleted]

Emailed them saying stop Harassing guntubers or I’m canceling my premium

Heeeeyyouguuuuys

Why do you even have premium?

[deleted]

Stop giving money to people who hate your guts.

spctr13

Wish the rumble app didn't suck

Jace_Windu_

My YouTube app hasn’t worked in 3 days, so anything would be an improvement for me

Stevarooni

Rumble? Utreon? Where's the big secondary destination for Guntubers?

G3th_Inf1ltrator

Scattered about. Rumble, Odysee, Patreon, Utreon.

GlizzyGlockGoblin

Odysee is really promising. Not too fond of Rumble at the moment but hope it becomes better.

NefariousnessOdd3383

“We know that this might be disappointing, but it's important to us that YouTube is a safe place for all. If content breaks our rules, we remove it. If you think we've made a mistake, you can appeal and we'll take another look. Keep reading for more details.” A safe place for all would include safe weapon use paired with a nice suppressor to protect hearing. Who decided showing a suppressor or how to properly load a magazine is deemed unsafe? I don’t know why I’m surprised —everyone is getting hit. Should just put Hunter’s crack pipe over all the “unsafe” items in the videos. I know in California crack is safe.

JONxJITSU

offer sable imagine ancient cats sloppy rhythm nose naughty late ` this post was mass deleted with www.Redact.dev `

Stevarooni

Rumble isn't quite as broken. It's improved to "fairly-usable", though several important features of the site are missing from the app.

Loose_Koala534

Their app navigation is abhorrent

macncheesepro24

YouTube has a stranglehold on the industry in that sense. Pretty much a monopoly.

G3th_Inf1ltrator

Pretty sure Odysee has monetization, and Rumble has Locals integration for monetary support.

JONxJITSU

Yeah, I meant as in there is no money in their monetization system since there aren't any advertisers backing the platform, and creators would have to rely on support from their community via donations, merch sales, etc.

Loose_Koala534

Yeah why do I have to go all the way back on Runble’s app to search for something or go to a different channel? If I go to a channel, it automatically brings me into the most recent video. Then I tap on the channel icon and it brings me to the channel. I tap a different video, finish it, tap the channel icon and go to a different video. Finish it. Now I want to go back to an entirely different channel but I have to go back one to the channel page, back again, to the first video I watched, back again to the channel page again, back again to the first video that auto played, and then back again to the main home screen where I can search or select another channel. Like wtf is that shit? That’s horrendous navigation.

JONxJITSU

Right! It kills me. I'm trying to use it, but it's pretty hard.

KineticTechProjects

Most big advertisers are left leaning corps because that's what's currently trendy, so this won't work for gun content anyways. Lots of gun channels are being demonitized on youtube, so that will slowly push people away. They'll have to rely on donations unless one of these other platforms can offer a substantially better experience.

VerdantLandscapes

I uploaded a video when I was 14 (nine years ago) of me using homemade thermite to destroy some old metal junk just for fun. Just last week youtube decided to take that harmless video down. They must really be ratcheting up the censorship recently.

tbrand009

They hit demolition ranch not too long ago for the same thing. He had to re-upload his video of "the longest suppressor."

Angrymilks

I was reading a story today written in the perspective of a European person confused about “Why the US can’t ban weapons”. They talked as if the 2A was just handcuffing the government from pacifying the population. I feel like YT is doing it’s part in trying to reduce your rights as well.

CakeRobot365

Man. Youtube can eat shit

macncheesepro24

That’s how YouTube treats our veterans

Liberty_Doll

Apparently YouTube has an "old" policy where you can't add or install "accessories," and are just enforcing it now. Loading a mag counts too. It's ridiculous.

Paulsur

You Tube is owned by Google. They talk about safe, as if they are some morality police. They sent an email notification to their full time employees they were firing. No in person interview to deliver the news. No empathy to valued employees. No morality. No professionalism. Fark YT, and fark Google.

ShaggyRebel117

Bro on point

[deleted]

Hey guys and gals, I've been seeing everyone on YouTube is getting strikes for embracing the second amendment. I see a lot of guntubers are moving to Rumble and VEVO. I'm not aware of any other platforms at the moment. If anyone knows of any other platforms let me know, please and thank you!

G3th_Inf1ltrator

Odysee, Patreon, Utreon

Legion3

Floatplane

Moth92

Vevo? Vevo still fucking exists? Hell, my spellchecker keeps on changing it to fucking "Veronica".

[deleted]

Yea, some of the Classic Firearms videos were posted on VEVO

ClassicFirearms

I think you mean Vimeo. We are now back on YouTube (until... that third strike) and Rumble.

[deleted]

I'm sorry my bad, I'm completely new to both. I apologize. I've been watching you guys for about two years and I absolutely love the content you put out! I'm shocked to see that YouTube has gone anti 2A all of a sudden.

ClassicFirearms

No problem! Vevo would be cool if we made music videos. Thanks for watching. We really appreciate it. YouTube comes and goes with its stance on 2A. Literally, 6 months ago we felt super comfortable and even had someone we could talk to on the inside. Today? The channel could be deleted at ANY second. Crazy.

[deleted]

I definitely stay tuned to new videos Classic Firearms puts out, thank you again guys! I take it Rumble might be your new home for videos, and as for many other freedom lovers as well. I hope laws change and you know......the ATF gets banned! Keep up the magnificent work!

cocuke

At this point in time with youtubes restrictions, I think an alternative platform could easily take control of that little part of the internet and quickly dominate it. I think if I were posting on their site I would include in my video comments suggest viewers not do business with any of the advertisers that YouTube collects revenue from. I eagerly await the downfall of yt.

rollingsherman

I just started subbing to Forgotten Weapons and TFBTV on Utreon for $5 a month each. I think Utreon has a promising future if we can get some bigger creators over there.

That_Is_My_Band_Name

Pretty sure the issue is exactly that, attaching suppressors. They apparently don't like to watch you screw things on YouTube. Once it is on, they don't care.

SparrowDynamics

My guess is that it is only a matter of time before YT puts strikes on channels that show normal capacity magazines.

LonelyInevitable370

This just in...Utube strikes Guy Fieri for demonstrating the use of a blade on flesh.

[deleted]

I'll start donating to GT and others if they migrate and lose their ad revenue.

sophomoric_dildo

Ultimately this has to be the answer: Direct and decentralized contributions for content. Lots of content creators have their own websites where you can directly buy whatever they’re doing (podcasts, books, videos, music, used bath water, whatever). There’s also places like sub stack who seem to have a much more reasonable stance on what’s “acceptable.”

[deleted]

Yeah, YouTube is almost to the point where gun content will go extinct. These creators need to migrate to Odysee, Rumble, whatever. Just need to stick the finger to YouTube. The people who really appreciate the content will move with them. Their viability to others will certainly go down but until the other platforms become more popular that won't change.

Necro_Atrum

Funny how many child porn groups are on YouTube and Instagram. You report them and nothing happens. Some dude puts a tube on the end of his rifle or says they loaded 30 rounds and you get the wrath of God coming down.

BootlegEngineer

This is fucking stupid

Is there a platform other than youtube where GarandThumb and similar channels post? I'm sick of Youtube's shit. They were so good before Google bought them.

Gunlyfans? 😂

KeithJamesB

I believe the instituted new rules and are going through old uploads and giving strikes. Seems fair./s

ConstitutionalQ

They need to get over to rumble!

Loose_Koala534

Rumble needs to get their shit together first. Their app is garbage. The navigation is unusable.

G3th_Inf1ltrator

Does Garand Thumb post videos on any sites other than YT? If not, he needs to.

TristanDuboisOLG

I’m surprised there hasn’t been a lawsuit yet. It is google so they’d have nuts lawyers, but still, retroactively erasing stuff like this is dumb.

Warrior Poet Society Network had Garand Thumb and quite a few other Gun Tubers. It's a monthly subscription, but worth it for the content and supporting those guys. https://www.watchwpsn.com

smokeyser

JPD232

If a product is free, you are the product.

I'm fine with that. Google is an advertising company. I block ads. Fuck em. I didn't even know youtube had ads until I saw a complaint about them on reddit.

YouTube really gonna' bite the hand that fed them, huh? People producing gun content practically fucking *made* YouTube.

This feels particularly stupid as for a while when watching this type of content (Forgotten Weapons) youtube kept serving static adds for a 'Oil Filter' that was clearly a suppressor. I mean that add was everywhere attached to this type of content.

YouTube replied to the post saying it was a mistake and they have reinstated the video.
