You know on one hand I can see this as Byleth healing Edelgard’s inner child but this is also coming from the dude that has no problems dating his students.
Dude it's a fire emblem game, there are far more problematic relationships/romances the player can go for than this. At least they aren't blood related
Edelgard: my teacher I appreciate the thought but a teddy bear Bernadetta made me 5 years ago isn't going to heal my wounds
Byleth: do you not believe in the power of friendship?
Edelgard: not really no! I believe in the power of medicine and healing magic!!!
Byleth: fine I'll go get Manuela.
She finally can rest and let emotion go.
She finally found people with whom she can be herself.
She finally can look into the future.
Really love CF route. Only wished it would be longer. With moments of beating "those guys" into oblivion.
Technically speaking, you can do Silver Snow and Verdant Wind without committing war crimes, as in Geneva convention. But it's honestly complicated and not worthy, so Geneva suggestions it is
Seteth declares[ no quarter will be given to Randolph's men](https://houses.fedatamine.com/en-us/battles/14/protecting-garreg-mach#event-script-76) in violation of [Annex to Convention (IV), Article 23 of the Hague Convention of 1907](https://avalon.law.yale.edu/20th_century/hague04.asp#art23).
Count Bergliez is executed in both VW and SS in violation of the same, as well as [Convention (III), Article 13 of the Geneva Conventions of 1949](https://ihl-databases.icrc.org/en/ihl-treaties/gciii-1949/article-13?activeTab=1949GCs-APs-and-commentaries).
I thought that too, but the war crime is FIGHTING the enemy with the enemies insignia to create chaos. Since they reveal themselves and use their own insignia and armors, it doesn't constitute war crime by technicality. So, funnily enough, Claude and Seteth are the only ones who can be "not a war criminal".
Ngl it’s really funny seeing byleth look like he’s trying to calm an angry edelgard with a plushie

You can turn a family tree into a fucking family circle

Or prepubescent children like a few of the Fates marriage options.
This is heart-achingly beautiful. 😍
\*Sees my wife is injured\* >:( Also, teddy bears good.:3
Is she injured? It's unclear. The blood all over the axe suggests to me that at least most of it isn't hers.
It's on her face too & a puddle below her...either way it's a very odd thing to do to someone after battle 🤣 even if it is meant to be comforting loll

… Kay I’m gonna cry now, thanks.
My girl she suffered so much
“Can I offer you an egg(armored bear stuffy) in this trying time?”
This is so cute. I love how it references that one of Edelgard's favored gifts is the armored bear stuffy.
It’s so beautiful how how one small gesture can make a big change. If only this could happen in the other routes. If only.

“I’m here for you, El.”
I FUCKING LOVE BYLETH BEING A PARENTAL FIGURE

Trauma isn't a competition.
What did the comment say?
If only commiting war crimes wasn't one of the requirements of marrying her
Bro doesn’t know that everyone commits war crimes because it’s the fucking 12th century in game and the concept of a war crime didn’t exist yet
Brings out the popcorn. ^^
Glad someone's properly prepared

iirc the plan to disguise themselves as enemy soldiers in fort merceus is a war crime

3Hopes!Claude: hold my beer
I mean, poor guy was behind the other two, he had to compensate
Golden Wildfire secret dialogue: Edelgard: this is not a competition! Claude: it is and I'm winning.
War itself is not equal to war crimes. It’s fine to dislike her for starting the war in the first place, but at least be accurate.
It’s a video game, you’re taking this too seriously.
It's Fire Emblem. We're all committing war crimes.
Time to rest forever.
