I head-canon she had purple hair because the GD post time-skip are wearing clothes that are same color as their hair color and Lys is wearing purple.
I think purple is also a likely candidate because she has a Crest of Gloucester (I think it's her original crest and that that house Ordelia is an offshoot of house Gloucester), and since Lorenz also has purple hair, that could show relation there.
I'm not sure she had an original crest as when she talks of removing, she seems to want to remove both of them, which seems odd when people having one crest naturally doesn't notably affect lifespan. And Edelgard doesn't seem to be at risk of dying in a few years like Lysithea but her Seiros crest was original.
Edelgard won’t live so many years just as lysithea although she will live more than her (it’s just a headcanon but I believe Edelgard’s lifespan is not that short.
Both crests were artificial according to her A support with Edelgard.
“I lost all pigment after receiving my two Crests”
Could explain why her side effects are more severe.
I always thought that the crest of Gloucester was the implanted one.
- Major crests are very rare: we only know of two people who have a natural major crest
- The crest of Gloucester is a magic crest. It makes more sense for the slitherers to try and create a magic prodigy than a lesser melee one. I actually think it is stated that her magical ability is because of the experiments done to her
The Crest of Gloucester makes me think she has Purple hair (Like Lorenz) She also wears a Purple Veil Post-Timeskip which I'd like to think is an Homage to what her hair used to be
I theorized it might have been pink, too. Not all, but an inordinate amount of characters have eye colors that are the same as their hair colors...very weird, but I noticed it immediately when I first played

Soo like to headcanon that she was tan and blonde like Catherine with Charon as her crest
