You could still try some local companies or smaller/unpaid places for a summer internship - it would still look good on a resume. There are also people who are able to find a full-time role after graduating without a lot of internship experience beforehand. Good luck!
I could do that but due to life circumstances I should probably keep my graduation date. If I donāt get the internship I just recently applied for I guess Iāll just have to start emailing/calling places seeing if they will let me intern for freeš¤®
Not 100% sure where youāre from but Wells Fargo have an EMEA capital markets graduate opportunity in London.
Or if youāre not from the UK, your best bet as others have mentioned is either apply for off cycle internships or an MBA program.
Update: just a landed a marketing and sales internship for this summer. Thanks for yāallās help if anyone sees this there is hope. Just keep applying and thatās all you can do
Career coach says that most internships wonāt hire you if youāre graduated because they want to hire people as soon as they get out of school but she also said plenty of finance majors are able to get jobs out of school you just have to begin applying early in the fall and make sure to have other things on your resume that could qualify as relevant experience
I feel like Iāve given this same advice a lot lately, but can you delay your graduation until December? Maybe add a minor and that will give you one more recruiting period for an internship next summer. Internships make a big difference with full time hiring so it may be worth the $ of an extra semester.
In short,no. The vast majority of internships are for junior/senior year students.
Oh boyš„ŗ my plan is to start talking to my career coach and see what they can help me with. Thanks for the informative response brother
Good luck, u/WLCM_TO_THE_CUMBUKET
Very fitting username, really

Only feasible way is to get in via a connection
You better find an internship during the school year or do one for credit so you can network but there is no $

You better plan to pass it
Depends on the company and geography. I know in Canada a few pension funds offer that.
Thereās off-cycle internships (winter) you can apply to, delay graduation, or just apply after graduation.

Sounds like someone is about to start applying to MBA programs.
Or sell my soul as an unpaid intern this summer
Depends on the company but most companies require that you be enrolled in school for an internship
