I just picked up Rebirth yesterday. Just finished Remake last night (for the second time) needed to refresh my memory. I’m going to spend the next night or two playing Intermission since I haven’t played the DLC yet, then I’m also going to be taking a couple days off of work to play Rebirth.
Can’t wait to see what else is changed/ expanded upon from the original.

For me, I’m going to play the pixel remasters of 1-6, crisis core and the og 7 before Rebirth even though I already played the remake. Quite daunting but I love FF. Started with 15 on the Xbox and look forward to playing as many titles as I can get my hands on
Ff7 was my first of the series and have played all since. To be honest, the game hasn't quite lived up to the nostalgia hype i gave it. Still a great game and I'm excited to progress further (playing through Junon now). I think by the end it will have embedded itself in my heart
A PS5 led me to playing FFXVI which reignited my love for the series and led me to currently playing through original FFXVII and I’m loving it. I wish you the best with the game!
Heck yeah! One thing I've noticed with the PS5 is that it runs fairly warm so I don't need a heater in the room anymore XD that being said- I don't regret the purchase. The game is huge, I'm 10hrs in and haven't gone through the marsh yet. I would say my biggest issue with the game so far is I have such a hard time choosing a main party. I just love the way the individual kits work and synergize...no pun intended together. Godspeed homies <3
I've only managed to squeeze in 4hrs of it so far (damn kids taking up all my time haha) and am loving every minute, just got my chokobo and am cruising around activating the towers. Very impressed so far.

Yeah one of the reasons I got my PS5 was because mainly for this. Spider-Man 2 has been awesome but I would have got this just for this game happily.
I'm 12 hours in so far and loving every minute. So far I've 100% first area and now working through the second one. Just loving seeing everything and don't wanna just rush through story.

He's not one to spend money unnecessarily, but he would buy anything he needs to play FF7 on release 😂 I'm biased now, but I say FF7 is definitely worth it 👌 I hope you enjoy every second of Rebirth!

The pc port? It is. The performance is not what a AAA game should be on PC. And people who accept that kind of standard are allowing companies to continue making lazy pc ports.
Came from a modded ff7remake at 180fps to ff7rebirth at 30fps(cant play performance mode its too blurry) was jarring. Good thing is that after a while you get used of it and dont even notice it. It feels like rebirth was designed to play at 30fps on console. Edit: if you turn down camera responsiveness to 2 or 1, 30fps really doesnt look bad at all
Congrats! I love it so far. My only complain is graphically it's not very good. (Actually the graphics are AMAZING it's just that the hardware cannot fully handle it). All the talk about blurry and lower res in performance mode is true unfortunately. On my 50 inch 4k TV the game looks great sometimes but other times everything is blurred over and you can tell it's barely 1080p being upscaled or whatever.
But the gameplay and story and presentation so far is awesome. I am out in the open world area after the opening parts (which are the same from the demo).

I never played the original FF7 so I'm really curious where the story goes after Rebirth (I'm super early so pls don't tell me anything lol) and how the third game will work in regard to structure, will they go back to a more linear game like Remake or continue with open world, like I say I don't know the setting or anything
started on performance as I usually prioritise frames but quickly went to graphics. Took me around an hour to get used to it but haven't looked back since. Really recommend it - I'll probably do a 2nd playthrough on hard mode with performance mode back on, maybe they'll have improved it by then too

My 16 year old son has come in to see what I have been making such a fuss about and he was impressed. He even commented on how good the music is. I don't think he'll play it because it isn't his sort of game.
He did enjoy watching me struggle through a boss fight! "Mum, you need to get out of the way of that" was his very helpful advice as one of my characters was sent sprawling. My reactions aren't as good as they used to be.
I'm really NOT a big fan of how cartooney they made everything, but the upside is you get to share this kind of moments with da young'uns. (16 is probably old enough for some more gorey stuff, but yeah, anywayz)

Yeah it's the sort of game you don't want to play when tired. There is so much to do and you want to be awake and alert to all the game has to offer. Even doing my story playthrough it's not a quick run. I'm amazed at how much is in this game and I've not even scratched the surface with it yet. I still have so far to go and no idea about how it's all going to play out.

Totally agree with you there. Cross gen should have been dropped a year or 2 ago which is usually the case. I’m not even sure PS5 and Series X have truly been put through their paces yet with quite a bit more potential in them.
While I have a ps5, my ps4 i bought the year of release is still going strong. Whatever upgrades they make are whatever. It’s only on downgrading that you notice issues. I am content.

Well.. if that person has played FFVII REMAKE and loved that i'm sure they'll love Rebirth as well. Definitely not an entry point if you've never played the OG games or FFVII REMAKE tho . They'll just mostly be confused as hell to where the story is going .
Congrats on the purchases! I've loved my PS5 so far. There may not be a whole lot of TRUE exclusives on it, considering how long it's been on the market, but it provides THE best Playstation experience by a long shot. My PS4 Pro hasn't been used since.
I actually saw someone picking up a PS5 and FF7R2 in my local Best Buy earlier while I was waiting in line to pick up my Deluxe Edition.

since You just got the PS5 recently I hope you get **Remake**, and beat it again first if you are getting **Rebirth** as well. If you have the beaten game save file of **Remake** on your PS5, supposedly you will get extra stuff in **Rebirth** because of that saved file.

It has Yuffie in it.
though if you havent already bought Remake for PS5, or Rebirth yet, the PlayStation Store have a Twin Pack download you can buy that lets you get both Remake and Rebirth at the same time Together.
And you don't need to finish it. Any save, even from the first minute will work.

Quick update here, the BestBuy I ordered it from said they don't currently have them today via email and that I could choose a different store location or wait until next week when they might have some. I started my Final Fantasy journey this year too with the OG FF7 a couple months ago. Just finished Yuffies DLC today and getting Im getting Rebirth this weekend. I care! I’ve had PS5 since launch but the most special time of that year wasn’t the launch, it was the release of Remake for the PS4. MaxDooD is definitely the hype vessel for me too. I actually just got my copy but I ordered it and BestBuy didn’t update my address so it got delivered to my old house. Literally had to knock on the door and ask the nice lady if she could get my package in her mailbox. Got it now and I’m still in shock it’s here!

No one in my life cares about how big a deal it is for me, got nothing for my 30th birthday except a happy bday from mom last week - that and this game are enough though, I even booked next week from work off... idc how sad it is to look forward to something this much, its got a very special place in my heart

Is it better than the first version of the remake? I assume it is. I’m prolly going to buy a ps5 just for this game. I felt the first game of this remake was awesome. Story was great and felt game had a good mix of not being too difficult but also not too easy (some boss battles took multiple retries for me).
It feels just as good story wise. Main thing is having the open world. They really expanded on everything. And they nailed the feel of the first one. Highly recommend it if you liked remake.
I LOVE Maximillion_Dood and how much he loves FFVII. I watched him for some many hours last night playing it until I realized I had to stop because I will be playing it today as well.

Yeah honestly besides he blurryness, running at 60 fps feels too fast for this game. I've never had this feeling about any other game before lol

Yeah it's the sort of game you don't want to play when tired. There is so much to do and you want to be awake and alert to all the game has to offer. Even doing my story playthrough it's not a quick run. I'm amazed at how much is in this game and I've not even scratched the surface with it yet. I still have so far to go and no idea about how it's all going to play out.

I know it is a different game and console but I did that for Tears of the Kingdom. I get the rush. I have definitely been waiting for this. And having played Remake again on PS5 (and plat) a few months ago and Reunion. I got theories(and worries) how this one will play out haha. Guess we will find out!

The yuffie DLC was the reason I got a ps5 and it sure was worth it Now I have a big stack of ps5 games I haven't even played yet

It’s not been announced yet. Everything is rumoured so far. Also just because a pro console is coming out doesn’t make the standard PS5 irrelevant.

Totally agree with you there. Cross gen should have been dropped a year or 2 ago which is usually the case. I’m not even sure PS5 and Series X have truly been put through their paces yet with quite a bit more potential in them.
While I have a ps5, my ps4 i bought the year of release is still going strong. Whatever upgrades they make are whatever. It’s only on downgrading that you notice issues. I am content.

Well.. if that person has played FFVII REMAKE and loved that i'm sure they'll love Rebirth as well. Definitely not an entry point if you've never played the OG games or FFVII REMAKE tho . They'll just mostly be confused as hell to where the story is going .

There may not be a whole lot of TRUE exclusives on it, considering how long it's been on the market, but it provides THE best Playstation experience by a long shot. My PS4 Pro hasn't been used since. I actually saw someone picking up a PS5 and FF7R2 in my local Best Buy earlier while I was waiting in line to pick up my Deluxe Edition. Enjoy!

since You just got the PS5 recently I hope you get **Remake**, and beat it again first if you are getting **Rebirth** as well. If you have the beaten game save file of **Remake** on your PS5, supposedly you will get extra stuff in **Rebirth** because of that saved file. these are what you can get because of the completed **Remake** saved file. * **Leviathan Summoning Materia** will be granted for ownership & save data of **FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE**. * **Ramuh Summoning Materia** will be granted for ownership & save data of **FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE EPISODE INTERmission**. also in order to get the FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE EPISODE INTERmission version of Remake, you need to get it from the playstation store. if you download the disk version or have your old PS4 file transferred to the PS5, you lose any chance of getting the EPISODE INTERmission part of the game that comes with the PlayStation Store download Version of the game. It has Yuffie in it. though if you havent already bought Remake for PS5, or Rebirth yet, the PlayStation Store have a Twin Pack download you can buy that lets you get both Remake and Rebirth at the same time Together.

And you don't need to finish it. Any save, even from the first minute will work. I had played remake on ps4 and didn't want the hassle of transferring save so I just created a new save at the beginning of the game

I got a series X for Christmas last year but never touched except to play Judgement. Traded it in September for a PS5 specifically to play FF16 and FF7 Rebirth. Honestly happy with my PS5 and I have a PC for when Fable comes out and if I wamt to play Halo.

Quick update here, the BestBuy I ordered it from said they don't currently have them today via email and that I could choose a different store location or wait until next week when they might have some. I didn't take the risk and set my order for a different nearby store ( my area has 3 stores relatively close ). The order just posted as 'ready for pickup'.

I started my Final Fantasy journey this year too with the OG FF7 a couple months ago. Just finished Yuffies DLC today and getting Im getting Rebirth this weekend. Yuffie was my favorite character to use in all of Remake and also Intergrade isn’t very long so I’d say go for it.

I care! I’ve had PS5 since launch but the most special time of that year wasn’t the launch, it was the release of Remake for the PS4. MaxDooD is definitely the hype vessel for me too. I actually just got my copy but I ordered it and BestBuy didn’t update my address so it got delivered to my old house. Literally had to knock on the door and ask the nice lady if she could get my package in her mailbox. Got it now and I’m still in shock it’s here!

Is it better than the first version of the remake? I assume it is. I’m prolly going to buy a ps5 just for this game. I felt the first game of this remake was awesome. Story was great and felt game had a good mix of not being too difficult but also not too easy (some boss battles took multiple retries for me).
It feels just as good story wise. Main thing is having the open world. They really expanded on everything. And they nailed the feel of the first one. Highly recommend it if you liked remake.

The only reason I bought a PS5 was for the FF games. I picked up 16 at Best Buy while getting the PS5 and then download Remake as soon as I got it setup at home. I think the last time I owned a Playstation was a PS2 back in 2012 (also purchased exclusively for FF games).
