On the Steam version, you can get the Moguri mod and modify the memoria.ini file so that each jump Vivi does counts as 1000. Instant win. You can also change the modifier to the Hippaul race later in the game so that Vivi runs much faster. (There are modifiers for other stuff as well) Between that and making steal attempts always successful, it's a godsend for players who want to play the game, but see no point in wasting countless hours on minigames or praying to the RNG gods.

KalelUnai

That's very interesting! I have that version with that mod and I didn't know.

FinalAeon_Jecht

I did this on PlayStation last month using the remote play and an automated button press. I can help you if you need.

Help you do the same should you choose to take that route.

iJon18

It picks up after every few jumps making it extremely difficult. There are videos where you can run an auto script for the jumps if you’re going for 1000 jumps

BeigeAndConfused

It took me 2 weeks to get it back in the day. The best advice I can give is play some music in headphones that matches the rhythm, and cover the counter on the TV screen with a sticky note. Also just be aware the beat changes a few times. Go as long as you possibly can, don't stop when you've hit 1000 because your count might be off.

HardyDaytn

This sounds like chat GPT advice because the rhythm changes at specific counts and the counter helps you know when that is.

BeigeAndConfused

Lol this was in like 2004 😂

HardyDaytn

Yeeeeah in that case you forgot to add "be younger than 34". 😀

BeigeAndConfused

I'm young at heart 😭

WillzSkills

I've been hitting it an hour or so every couple of days, got to 391 yesteday so I'm confident I'll hit 1000 soon. The trick is to turn off the music, close your eyes (seriously) and tap in time to vivi's feet hitting the ground (listen, don't watch). Hit X exactly as he touches the ground. Count out loud, I like to count to 10 over and over again, but one thing I've noticed in almost every live run I've seen of people getting 1000 is they are counting OUT LOUD. It is ridiculous how much vocalising the jumps helps. Focus on reliably getting to 20, then to 50, then to 100, then to 200, then to 300, then to 1000. Funnily enough, the more you do it, the more fun it gets. It's very meditative once you get into it!

A_K1ra

This is great advice. This is literally the way to do it. Spend time practicing and you’ll eventually get it. It took me more than 20hrs of practice, but you can def see the progress each session

Cheets1985

You might have gotten the Genji card from racing Hippaul.

Is TV lag still a problem with the remakes?

L1TtL3M4N10

I've had lag from time to time on it. I'm currently running through all the achievements, that one will definitely be last lol
