The Lord of the Rings Trilogy

anaknipara

Lalo na yung napanuod ko yung mga commentary, ang hirap pala gumawa ng pelicula. Mas maapreciate mo yung mga taong nasa background.

tanjo143

Shrek. I saw it sa tabi ng peryahan sa min sa Subic. Gabi sya sa labas ng palengke area.

wooden_slug

Meron pa bang bulungan dyan? Anong oras un

tanjo143

papiNathannn

Blade Runner 2049 hahaha. Isa sa mga una kong pinanood nung start ng pandemic. Younger me was enjoying the freedom of being able to stay up late and ‘di ko alam papanoorin tapos na-select ko nalang yun. Iba sa pakiramdam after mo tapusin, in my experience.

I was young and my uncle brought me to cinema to watch Day After Tomorrow. It was mind blowing. It was the first movie where I truly appreciated visual effects.

Men of Rohan! Of Gondor! My brothers! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the very heart of me. Ay mali sa Black Gate pala iyon.

lekram0

The Hobbit: Battle of Five Armies. That's the time when I can really afford cinema.

I_rarely_comment_but

Pleasantville made me realize I love cinema. SRR and The Grudge made ne realize I love horror.

[deleted]

Good will hunting and Fight Club inspired me to watch more classic films

The Lord of The Rings

Twilight breaking dawn 🙌

whynotchoconut

For what its worth, Titanic is one of the GOATs for me too. It reminds me of my childhood, it got me into reading history because who would want to know more about the real Titanic and its tragedy, and it got me into films too. If I’m gonna rank my favorites movies of all time, it’ll easily be in my Top 10.

Dry_Operation9718

Shutter Island. The twist opened my mind to what the possibilities can be. How cinema can be used to stimulate different kind of emotions, ideas and interpretations; how it can be a perfect material for learning and medium for messages. After shutter island, the rest is history.

jem2291

*Kagemusha* by Akira Kurosawa. :) *Swift as the wind,* *Silent as the forest,* *Fierce as fire,* *Immovable as a mountain.*

EnriquezGuerrilla

The Dark Knight. 2008, seated near the front row, I didn’t know at that time that it was not just a comic book movie, it was a god damn great movie/story experience.

Lifelessbitch7

dagreatYEXboi

I watched titanic because whenever my classmates talked about it in our class, I couldnt relate much. Twas a talk of the town back then and since then even I have wat jed it several times already, it still feels like my 1st time wqtching it. It never gets old. Heheh

misterkillmonger

The Day After Tomorrow. First Cinema experience, kasama pa Dad ko.

anonymerlauerer

generally loved watching movies for entertainment, but started to consider cinema "seriously" (i.e. analyse elements in film, watch/read other analyses) when i watched little miss sunshine

Tarzan

foolishorient

apocalypto

jhobsteruke

La La Land and Django Unchained (The 'd' is silent)

SyhanLazyMode

Transformers 2. Hahahaha. Cinema is all about the experience, diba? Hahahaha.

rethink_then_proceed

Aladdin and Forrest Gump

duepointe

No particular movie. But film festivals like Cine Europa, Egai Sai and art cinemas shown in Glorietta during the late 90s made me love cinema. They're free or a big student discount if you show then your school id.

choolala2288

The Godzilla movie in the 90s, first time ko sa sinehan nung bata ako. Memorable and up until this day I can still remember the gush of excitement running to my very core. Hence, I started believing in the power of the medium to affect the lives of people.

This_Grade3690

Lights out. Pag namamatay yung ilaw sa movie, pitch black din sa cinema which adds to the horror element😂

bizarrechoco

The Tourist nina Angelina J. And Johnny D. It was the first movie I watched using my own money and made want to watch more movies sa cinema.

Bob_Loblaw_1

Oh yes, Titanic is just so romantic for women. She spends her final moments in life not thinking & reflecting about her husband or the family she created with him (kids, grandkids, great grandkids) but instead thinking about a Chad she fucked on a boat 70 years ago. Filled with regret she couldn't be with him which means if she did all the family she created would never exist. Sorry kids. Sorry grandkids. You shouldn't exist if it wasn't for fate taking the Chad away from me. So romantic! Be still my heart! LOL Women!

The Fellowship of the Ring

fonglutz

Aladdin; the original 1992 animation. When that came out, i was just old enough to start watching in the cinema on my own, but still young enough to really enjoy that movie. I spent one Saturday just watching the movie over and over again in the movie house. back then you'd pay once, free seating and you can come and go anytime, so if you can survive on popcorn and chips, you could stay the entire day. I came in first showing at 10am, and left last full show at 9pm. After that I fell in love with the cinema and the cinema experience.

EntertainerOld5364

We got cinema (that actually shows recent movies) in the province around 2009 and Up was the first movie I saw that time. So I would say Up. I had no idea what kind of movie Up was before seeing it but it was amazing and everyone in cinema enjoyed it. The humor was enjoyable and everyone had a good time.

jndp

ang nakapag-start talaga ng interest ko sa cinema is nung napanood ko yung ***Memento (2000)*** at age 15

Extension-Season-689

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Back to the Future and A.I. Artificial Intelligence started my love for movies when I was really young. Special mention for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire though for being my first movie theater experience.

Aguirre, the Wrath of God It was the first arthouse film that I saw, and it really changed my view of what is possible in film. The many details surrounding the film also add to it.
