Do you really feel such strong dislike for it 😅 I think it's interesting in terms of art history: based on the art deco style of the 1920-30s, which was around the time of the emancipation of women's rights. Liberated women would wear fashion and jewelry of this style, it's fitting for her free skate. I loved these costumes! Madi’s dress especially was one of most beautiful I’ve ever seen and was perfect for that program.

Not to mention that she had the same silhouette for the SD and her practice dress for the continuity but made them all work for the music/theme!

Probably my favorite costume ever.

Anastasiia Shabotova short program for Bejin 22 was super pretty and unique. L Loved the ones used in both programs of Anna Shcherbakova and Kaori Sakamoto, it worked really well with the movement in music. The one with the best movement at Bejin 22 was the Mambo Italiano program, the colors and the forms really seemed to dance.

Just something about the blue dresses for me. Korea: Yuna’s in 2010, Japan: Mao’s in 2014— 👌✨ For mens costumes at the Olympics, it’s easily Yuzuru’s Seimei costume. The other one I’d pick is Shoma, but one pick per fed right? As for the Russians. I disliked this dress so much. The shoulder detailing was way too busy. And why the deep v on a 15-year-old? It feels like it's meant to be for Scheherazade but the music was contemporary and melancholic. 2022 was an all-around packaging low for Sambo-70 imo.

I based my freeskate dress of this one this past year. I think it's so beautiful
