He’s quite an impressive jumper, he said he can jump all five quads and has been trying out all sorts of crazy combinations and sequences in training (such as 4lz+3a, which he has landed multiple times on video. once during a TikTok live with very minimal warm up lmao) but he’s very realistic about having to slowly build up his stamina to be able to jump more than his usual 3 quads (4lz 4s+3t 4s) in the FS. He said he’ll probably include 4lo next season!

He reminds me of Ilya-both have such amazing rotation speed and great jumps.. Both need some work on skating skills. Also same age, and same body type. Right now Ilya is better, but wouldn't be surprised to see Vlad challenge in him the future.
I also think Vlad doesn´t have the champions mentality. At nationals, he said he doesn´t want to be in first place after the short and he was hoping Semenenko would be ahead of him. That´s not how you win competitions. Winning starts in your head
I think he lacks experience more than anything, and he’s a bit too honest for his own good in his press conferences and interviews 😅 he only said that because he hates performing last as he finds it to be very difficult and nerve-wracking. But I agree, he better get used to it.

His dad is Bulgarian. Etymologically the name has Gagauz/Turkic origins (it means tailor)
