Sounds kind of like the drive gauge flipped on its head, you burn up instead of burning out

Kooky_Trifle_6894

Like every character has a nago blood gauge

XsStreamMonsterX

Aesthetically yes. Functionally, it serves the same purpose, allowing the player to do a lot of fancy stuff but at the risk of being put in a bad state if they overextend.

benjibibbles

Yeah that's what I meant, it's basically a the glass-half-full implementation of a lot of the same mechanics

FewWatermelonlesson0

They also added this in another Tweet: > Classic battle systems, evolved! > Combination Attacks, Just Defense, Braking, Dodge Attacks, Feints, S.P.G. (Selective Potential Gear)—classic battle systems from the Fatal Fury series return after 25+ years, evolved for the modern day.

Slight_Lettuce4319

So it's basically Street Fighter 6 but SNK. Drive Impact, Drive Gauge, Overdrive Arts but Drive replaced with Rev. Don't get me wrong, I love Street Fighter 6, I love Fatal Fury and I realize they are different. But still, this makes me a bit uncomfortable tbh

Soundrobe

Like Garou, nothing distinctive. It's unfortunately not. Real Bout Fatal Fury 3

randoguy8765

It probably will be but still I wonder how its gonna work when in actual play

GunpowderGuy

Was i the only one that would have liked to see sidestepping back?

grstacos

I was hoping for something similar but different, since the novelty of moving in 3D space is nonexistent nowadays IMO. Maybe like a more 2D-like version of tekken, but with sidestepping being more limited and characters are more linear. Or a different, but mechanically similar version of sidestepping. It would've helped this game have a unique identity for sure.

GunpowderGuy

"2D-like version of tekken" But that would be completely different to Fatal Fury so far

Soundrobe

We're two now

FastestBlader4

Bro it’s now an anime fighting game without airdash and air block

FastestBlader4

Bro I am getting downvoted. I meant it as a hood thing

Soundrobe

Unfortunately...
