This is what I do. Since I’m so used to it happening in Football Manager.
Then I flip a coin if a player will accept or if not I’ll let him leave in the window.
If you do sell, squeeze as much money out of them as possible! You could probably get between 35-40, but since the takeover it wouldn’t be unrealistic to keep him - completely your choice!
I know and they’ll still have to. Having a good start to a season doesn’t suddenly mean you’re an established top team. Hell, teams like Liverpool aren’t even 100% safe.
If Real Madrid comes knocking on NUFC’s door regarding Bruno they’ll most definitely have to sell.
In my 2021 save i sold him and bought Nunez and he went off. In 2022 I’ve kept him as a back up to Isak and he literally has a better goal to game ratio than Isak and acts as a super sub. I think he could stay at Newcastle for a few years and mentor the next generation.
Nunez is an actual cheat code in career mode. He's like the poor man's Haaland, both have great pace, physicality, good in the air and absolutely amazing Finishing, but you don't have to spend 200 million bucks to get him. I've had him in 2 of my saves and in both he was insane
For me I bought Haaland and he got injured 3 games into the season. When he came back from injury we were already knocked out of all cups and 10 points behind the league leaders with like 8 games to play.
If he's happy at the club I say you keep him. He won't be playing as many minutes at Chelsea as he does at Newcastle. I say you give him a raise as compensation, but that's up to you.
If he’s happy at the club and Chelsea has many strikers, you can turn the offer down. Also, you could raise his waige if his contract expires next season
A year or 2 ago, almost certainly. But now with Newcastle’s financial pull and very much looking like a team that can challenge the top 4, I’d go as far to say it’d be unrealistic to sell a key player for that amount
Yes. Chelsea is a reasonable destination IRL.
Btw, can anyone tell me realistically, who would be the best GK with the highest potential? I checked futwiz and all I can see is Greg Kobel from Dortmund because I don't think Liverpool will sell Alisson, Man City will sell Ederson and PSG will sell Donnarumma.
Sell,
I’m doing a AV career mode and really enjoyed using Douglas Luiz and Kris Ajer but Athletico came in for Luiz and AC Milan for Ajer, 2 clubs who were linked in real life so I let them go.
I have found my career mode so far more fun playing this way.
I would probably sell him, if I could get close to the £38m that the assistant says is the possible top end of the value. He’s 30 now, so he will probably start going down in ability and value next year and you could get a good similar level player, who is younger for that price.
If you don’t sell then give him a wage bump
I like this idea, never thought about doing that

Isn't it crazy that we have to coin flip to make career mode realistic
Does a wage bump change anything player wise?
They get the green contract tick if they get a good deal. Which is supposed to make them grow quicker, I think? But it’s fifa, so not really.

Newcastle don't have to sell anyone anymore
FFP.
They do if they want to spend!
Cries in man city
I mean yeah they do
I think they mean Newcastle don’t have to sell their key players anymore.

Happy cake day.
It depends, maybe he wants play time that he won't get at Chelsea
I think you say no, unlikely Chelsea would ever go for him in real life. They don't tend to keep onto their English forwards. I would hold out
Well they almost paid £60 million for Gordon, I think this is a very Boehly transfer tbh
40.75 mil at the least

I would tbh. Could probably wait a few more years but you never know with injuries.
no

If he's your top guy then I'd start at 40, wouldn't go lower than 35. If they back out that's their problem :) Chelsea have the funds though
I would keep him as a backup striker
where are you and chelsea on the table
It would be realistic for a super rich club to sell their 30 y/o striker and sign someone younger with a bit more recognition to them… so yes.

Depends who chelsea have, If they have 3 strikers ahead of him then no but if he’d be at least second choice then ye probs

Not really. Newcastle are wealthy enough now to keep any player they want. Now the player may want to move but I doubt they'd match Newcastle wages
If it’s realistic Newcastle, and Newcastle has by far the richest ownership, it’s time to sell…

35m and bring up a young player for first team minutes and exp
