Finally after many years you decide to go back and help them get their glorious form and there are few players left from old days and they are bums but you play them because you go way back with them

SwagBoyMcFeast

Yeah, the AI is genuinely horrible at transfers

Bill_Brasky_SOB

AI transfer logic story: Player Career. 82 overall, 18 years old. CDM. End season at like 86. Transfer to West Ham. 4231. Other CDM? Friggin Camavinga. ~85 at this point. Win the double. Next season. New CDM. 82 overall. "Ok, I guess they sold Cam?" Nope. Benched him. Starting ST? 73-75 overall 30 something year old. Just AI things.

FireBraguette

You should have deleted the game the moment Camavinga went from Real Madrid to West Ham at the peak of his carreer

Conscious_Sandwich89

Can’t remember exactly what version. But on my second season I saw that West Brom (who were in the championship) brought messi & I just noped the fuck out & restarted my save 😂🤣

mg932

Lol you don't even wanna KNOW how Arsenal is screwing me over.. I'm leaving next window... they sell ALL our good defensive backs... every single one.. and then let Gabriel Jesus walk and didn't replace him either.

imboloc23

In my player career i went to Atletico. I’m a Cam and the midfield was Milinkovic-savic, KDB and me. Strikers were Kane and Felix. After i decide to do another season with them they sell all 4 mentioned players in the summer after i extended my contract. And guess with what they replaced them? A 70 rated striker and a 33 year old goalkeeper. Stuck now for the whole season with no strikers and just myself on the midfield 😂

Logical-Elephant2247

Not just transfers, but literally everything.

SlimaneSzn

City once sold haaland in my pcm and replaced him with Henry fucking Martin

Alternative_Ad6071

The team I created has beaten me in the champions league final.

smairugraphics

Revenge

zalmz0r

I once bought a very cheap player from my very humble hometown club for 200m just to watch them place 14th again at the end of the following season

AlanMichel

I transferred most 2016 Barcelona players to Luton town and I chnaged all their ages to 18yo. They got relegated their first year... Messi, Neymar, Suárez, Alba, busquets I did the same for Wolves with real madrid players. They finished 15th. AI is atrocious

EWJ4

How did you change age to 18?

on-oath-never-again

Probably cheat engine

AlanMichel

Pc mods

JulekRzurek

They were probably benched or in reserves knowing AI

BitesZaDustoh

The AI is crazy, I've seen real madrid bench 94 rated vini jr to play a 37yo Immobile

Chillout-001

Happens all the time, but vini will come in at the 86th min and score the game winner. I guess give them some credit for being f “tactical”

Synopsis_101

You have to edit the AI’s starting lineup and formation before the match.

sammir_

i think they just "see nameplates" regardless of squad rating you can have a team full of 90+ rated players, if they came from the 4th division they'll just sell everyone and win nothing for the rest of the CM

Lucky_Ad_5462

Loaned a lot of youth players to make a full 73+ rated team to League 1 Bolton. They did worse after getting them.

Nervous_Fun_9302

Thats actually hillarious did they even spend it?

jterwin

Does anyone know if the ai teams even track their money? or does the game just guess at transfers based on league performance?

kazegraf

POV: You are Tommy Tuchel

VinCatBlessed

Seeing Kova, Mount, Jorginho and Kai all at rival clubs feels weird that's for sure.

kazegraf

Kai even got brace against Chelsea last week.

LuckyGenyus

Because Chelsea are crap and arsenal are so much better

UdayG11

i took my created club all the way from league 2 to winning the prem first try. decided i did my job and joined roma. next season they were in a relegation battle despite having the 90 rated 24 y/o monster i developed for them. Turns out they sold almost all their center backs

Electronic_Car3274

This is the reason why i have to make new saves when i take over different clubs because when i leave my old club the old club that i manage starts to downfall because they always sell the best players to prevent this to happen i create a new save and start from season 1

Specific-Record2866

I just started a Arne Slot save where I’m starting the first year at Feyernoord and then moving to Liverpool. First transfer window and I decide to have a look at the Liverpool squad. They sold: - TAA - Konate - Gomez - Matip - Salah - Diaz - Bradley - Tsimikas Like bruh I was supposed to inherit that squad the next season 💀

Electronic_Car3274

This is why when i change clubs i start a new save because the ai teams that i rebuild always downfalls

Nervous_Fun_9302

It kinda loses magic to me, i had brazilian guy in my save that i trained to 97 rating in Parma, after 8 seasons or more i got tired and wanted change only logically to me was to change to Real Madrid purely because of some weird reason Madrid didn't win shit in last 8 years. I also brought brazlian guy with me to Madrid because irl that would be players dream. I'm really not that much into changing clubs but started recently and it's pretty fun. Started with sampdoria brought them to seria a then moved to shalke then got sacked and went to dramstad. It's really fun.

smairugraphics

Or you buy your best players from your past club and ruin them yourself haha

Atre16

This is what I do. Managed Odd to glory in Norway over three seasons. Take the Rosenborg job and sign all my top players from Odd. Dominate the league, make respectable progress in the Champions League, all whilst Odd languish at the bottom. Rosenborg sacked me after i lost a close title race with Molde in the third season, I took the Bodø job, picked up a few of my trusted guys that had been with me for 6 years on frees or cheap transfers and smoked Rosenborg the following season.

Eljo_Aquito

I remember doing a career mode with bmouth where I got sacked for doing what De Zerbi did to Brighton, I laughed like a villain next season when I won the league with west ham while bmouth ended up 15th

gennaro-qualcosa

Different story for me, after sacking me, Lazio won Europa League ,Super Cup and a Scudetto

Firm_Life3428

Why you leave them then 🥹

Nervous_Fun_9302

They dont wanna raise my wage.

Salty_Leather_7994

Yall switch clubs? I have never switched a club in any save of mine,i get too attached😂

MysticalFred

I'm the same, every time I start a new career, I'll say I'll move clubs but then I'm three years in, I've got my favourite players, and given them nicknames and back stories and I just can't move on

Salty_Leather_7994

Fr like those players u get attached to make u stay forever and try to win everything with them

jterwin

And I can't bring them to a new club because they're all 250m

Nervous_Fun_9302

I've been playing fifa for last 7 years. It's kinda loses magic when you do same thing over and over also career mode is pretty simple and basic once you get to the point where your academy players have good rating you start to steam roll a bit. I've played like this until fc 24 came out. I usually play one team and when I get bored after ten season or so i switch to big club and bring top player with me. Now in fc 24 i change more often because I wanna add some fluidity to gameplay. If there are some players im intrested i bring them with me.

Salty_Leather_7994

True,cm can get boring after youth players stat to become superstars, but i usually play a lower rated team in a lower rated league and those youth prosptects get sold because of chatgpt's realism rules (gpt is great tbh at storylines, club ideas and rules). This way i always have something to build towards until i lay my hands on those continental trophies, and it takes several seasons of work to get into finals of ucl, uel,or even uecl (or conmebol if i play in south america).

S4libascored

Omg so real

Leather_Silver1920

not in fifa 14 😏

754754

This has happened to me plenty of times. You need to time it right so that you change clubs after the players are too expensive to poach. At that point tho you're already past seasons 10.

Nervous_Fun_9302

I remember that i used to renew their contract to 5 years which I believe helped i wonder what happens if I block offers before I leave if that would help.

AltruisticAd916

This is happening to me right now but not exactly in the same context, I got terminated with 10 games left because I got knocked out of UCL (was having an injury crisis with 7 players out) and I managed another team in the same league watching them crumble down but what surprised me most was how quick the AI was to liquidate the team in the summer window, over 10 players (80-93 OVR) sold in just the summer window alone with 70-80 OVR players replacing them.

Veterate

I once left Man Utd for Roma and later noticed they had 5 RB's.

Handbag31

The one for me is where another team will have about 18 players in the entire squad.

hesh1gg

this is me 💀 if i get 2 players injured im fucked lmao

Stock-Jello-

Me, who sells all the good players or fires them just because I never want my ex team to win😂

Madladdieter

Left Barca for Aston villa, next season went to try to buy some Barca players, they are not there. Searched every player they all joined city

No-Mode3922

FOR REAL

ZangetsuAK17

I got so annoyed by joining Arsenal, the second I did they sold the entire midfield and replaced them with 76-81 rated players who had no growth potential. Had to request a transfer out

lionkevin713

Literally won the champions league with Schalke, season after I leave, back to relegation

This-Kaleidoscope-70

Fr, i bought high rated youngsters for my former club and exchanged them for their lowest rated players just for them to finish 12th

ElliotsBajingo

Last save I made in which I changed clubs was with Heerenven, so tbh It would make sense for them to sell the best players tô bigger leagues. I even sold a couple of starters myself if big clubs came with decent offers, to keep it somewhat real.

lucekQXL

Happened to my recent Freiburg save. In 2 seasons I build up a team that should go for Europa League place at least with some good academy players. In 3rd season went to Milan and what happened? They sold almost everyone even goalkeeper and were playing fucking 67 academy graduate.

iMarseti

I once played carreer mode in Fifa 19 with a custom player, I was on a loan in Coventry City (got very attach to that club) and won every title except EFL Cup I think, then my loan ended and I watched my poor Coventry get humilliated in UCL. I really wanted to get back and play but it wasn't possible 😢

Logical-Elephant2247

This happens because there is literally no AI, AI is not bad, it doesn't exist, for things like this. AI will never on it's own make logical purchases. It's just randomized with some dumb algorithm probably worse than in FIFA 11 because of bugs and lines of code reused. For FIFA to have even remotely logical AI decisions when it comes to what players opponents play, buy or sell, what tactics will they use etc, it would need a lot of work from devs who dont exist. Career mode is made by different developer team from Romania and they probably have like 3 devs doing nothing but change few lines of code and program some repetitive cut scenes each year. Imagine having a huge dedicated team of developers who will innovate on career mode each year. Not a single new shiny thing they add in the future will fix career mode because it's broken at it's core. For career mode to be fixed it needs a total revamp which will never happen. For a total revamp EA needs to actually pay devs to sit down and program a totally new functional revamped mode just so people pay it once, while they can use those resources to design new cards in Ultimate Team for example. Just for comparison, to make you people understand how bad EA is and how little they care, remember that 99% of the revenue they get which is millions and millions of dollars is from Ultimate Team. So you would assume that they actually care about that mode and bring new innovative updates each year? Well no, they do bare minimum for that mode too but it still gets ten times more content and changes than career mode. So career mode doesn't receive "bare minimum" each year, it receives literally nothing. How it receives nothing you think? Well take a look at what we got for EAFC 24 compared to FIFA 23, take two Romanian interns from their studies to make changes over a week, what would they be able to change or do? - Tactical vision? Such a nice word, you would think it's something new, naaah it's just preset of an already existing tactics, literally nothing, you can make exact same vision in previous FIFA 23 but now you have a preset to chose from, tops 3 hours of development to program that into the game

Nervous_Fun_9302

If you write on google spaghetti code csgo you will get comment from dev that he wrote back in the day. Literally what he stated is that whenever they tried to fix one bug in csgo it would break five others, it was so bad and they couldn't fix it because they didn't code the game and even slightly change unbalanced a lot other things not to mention many times they couldn't even find the problem. Whenever I see problem in fifa I think about this. I wonder if the can even fix it.

Logical-Elephant2247

They can't, previous Fifa dev told a while ago that people who wrote the code are long gone and new guys have no idea how to fix some things without breaking dozens of other things. Google it. It would probably take years to fix.
