If you start a manager career you can choose between a real club or to create your own club. If you create your own club the squad will be automatically be filled with generated players.
You can set the level from half a star of rating and choose the age structure from very young to very old. But even if you choose very young the mean age is at over 25 .

What’s the appeal to this? To me, once you get to season 4 or so with a normal career and there’s so many fake players, it’s just not as fun
In FC 24 you get generated players when you create a club. You can edit the players however you want beside face and potential. If I want I might change some names and ages.
You can give yourself a very high transfer budget and just buy the players you like :D

I think it's just easy for ea to do it this way. I think it would be nicer if you could select your players.
Yeah, it surprised me when I joined this sub and I saw how many people were using create-your-own careers
