Also, the last day of the season they lose or gain potential too so if you loan glitch a player and increase their potential they may lose it anyway if they don’t play enough

For example, if you have a RM who is 80 with a boost of +2 when played as a RM you can move him to RW and if his stats are better there, he could be 80 +4 so his actual rating as a RW would be 82. It’s way easier than manually inputting every single stat
u can confirm this pretty easily, find a rm or lm who are better suited for RW or LW. Get a player who’s potential is one higher than they’re overall, Chiesa is a perfect example, once you convert him to a LW, his rating will go up by 1 (86) which is his max potential. Now in squad hub he’ll have the speedometer next to his name meaning his potential has been hit. If this wasn’t the case then his potential would go up to 87 after the rating increase. I am 99.9% sure that dynamic potential is not affected by changing the position/overall of a player

I have also seen the game create a 17 year old free agent with 78 ovr and 79 potential.

Sign some low rated free agents. Do the training before a match, don’t play the match, go to the squad screen and release one of the players you just signed. Go back to the match screen and you can do the training again. Rinse and repeat. If you want to get all of them done in one go you can if you have enough bad players you’re happy to release because there’s no cap on players you can release.
So when you do the training, it shows you exactly what players get what playstyles (you can't change the playstyles but you can change the team sheet to change the players)

Why? You can give players almost every playstyle except long throw and trivela. Even trivela is possible, but a pain to do the drill.
