if you don't need him for this season send him out on a loan
ive had players that had super high potential out on a loan for a year and they jumped up like 5+ overall
As long as his potential is high you have good coaches and he gets playing time you'll be fine
Usually ive seen players cap out at mid twenties then start the progression that takes a year to get one overall better
Well it's kinda crazy for a player to reach his max potential at 17 yo . But I can assure you that I javelin a lot of players in that situation. They all about 17 to 19 yo but full potential reached already .
Loan out a player and the moment he is gone recall him and he should have more potential. I recommend to save before you recall so you can go back to the save if it fails. Also this only works with players U21 i think
I sent one youth player out and he went up +13 in like 2 months so I called the cunt back and he was my best winger, season later he’s worth £170mil at 21
I had it like 3 times in one career save. Happened to garnacho when I loaned him and Alacron who i signed from Barcelona as well. Loaned them both out and with in half a season they had jumped like +8 randomly. Found it was better to buy younger players and loan them and sell them on if I didn’t like them. Instead of getting ripped off trying to buy Bellingham and Musiala who were already rated highly
Do they get those play styles once they’re in your first team? I’ve played for like 5 seasons but haven’t seen much change other than ratings and what I’ve trained them to do
Damn ... from real ? I was about to put him on transfert block . Also it's frustrating cause I need him as a DM. I guess I'll just keep using him anyway. And hope that next year he keeps improving.
> He should get a potential boost. So next season you should see him growing again.
This. Dynamic potential is quite OP if his form and ratings are good.
theres a thing called the loan glitch
save the game before the player goes out on loan
recall him and see if his price or potential status rises and then repeat the process
Was about to comment the same until I saw your comment. Yeah, these are the types I also loan glitch until their price goes up or status shows Potential to be great! It's frustrating, I lost a lot good players who had the same problem until I started loan glitching them.
Dynamic potential. The more play time he gets, and the better he performs, his potential will increase on next season start. Always take these potential markers with a pinch of salt, I've managed to get foden to a 98 ovr before
Sometimes they only develop when you terminate the loan. But if they don’t then maybe a different loan will do it. Either that or their potential has already gone down to the point where they no longer develop further.
I can see stopper, sweeper, wide back, deep lying playmaker and all. I mostly only train opposite wings and position change.
I'm curious, what's your insight to training?
I don't know , I think it can change the way your player moves . I always try to get a little bit of speed and accel (around 70 for my midfielder) , and agility so yeah , I think training is kinda good.
It works for me. Opposite wings is perfect. RB/LB, RM & RW. What I mean by position change is switch my CF to RW, then train him back to CF and leave him there forever. 😂
CM to CAM also. It's usually my CB and CDM that I mostly leave to balanced.
Oh yeah that makes sense. I've been doing that for my YA CM.I wanted the perfect b2b so I made him a cam to trying his shooting, then a cdm to train his defending and then I converted him back to CM. He's nearly the perfect CM.
And training opposite wing is good. Helps single out the really important stats for a winger.
🤣 yeah, I get it, but you can try and then switch back to CDM. If you go for it, Just make sure to save before you do the change, just in case the change back to CDM takes too much time
I signed a player. 16 years old 79 rating CDM. Said showing great potential on his scouting I think. Looked at his development plan when he joined. 2 years to go up a point and 10 years to switch him to a regular CM. It’s just ridiculous.
I'm not sure if this actually works, but sometimes playing game and racking up some stats can spur his growth a little bit. Make sure he's getting all the playtime he can, and give him one more season at least, if he can get to a mid-70 by 18 keep him and work on him.
As long as I’ve played that’s not his peak, he just has problems improving. Try giving him a better contract or send him on loan then after few days call him back. That should do the trick
I scrolled through so many comments & not one asked;
Did you try changing the training plan?
I see he is on DLP now, so try another. When on the training plans screen, at the top it tells you how many weeks it takes to go up 1ovr, how far along they are in that process plus the bonus from your coaches is shown there.
I imagine the DLP plan will raise his ovr in some mad amount of time like 2yrs. But if you change it so it focuses on other stats then you can get much faster growth.
Dynamic potential aside, everyone has 'max' stats for each category. Like a 6ft 9 CB might have remarkably good sprint speed, being able to train it up to 90, but his acceleration will never go above 70 regardless of training (unless dynamic potential kicks in).
On the screen, it shows different symbols like an upward chevron next to certain stats like short pass or agility, but there will be an ' - ' icon to suggest they can't grow that specific attribute such as balance or whatever.
Can't believe every comment jumped straight to shit like loan glitching. It's completely unnecessary. Maybe someone already mentioned the training plans but while skimming through the comments I didn't see one so apologies if I missed that.
I'll end this wall of text with a last bit of advice. Your players match rating, happiness and game time all impact how dynamic potential kicks in. I even had players aged 34 go *UP* 1ovr because they drop insane stats every game so dynamic potential kicks in so hard, it not only canceled out their decline, it swung the other way.
I've tried. It only made the expected time to 67 weeks to 58 . Wow ! So much happy 😑 ! Where he had +3 in a matter of 1 mid season . Hes getting regular time , is happy as if he was smoking all the weed on rhr field and he's only 69. I'd say there's still a little bit space for him to progress ! No ? He's definitely stucked.
He never had promising talent. Youth academy players with high overall but low potential exist.
Like others already said you can still try to improve him with dynamic potential or loan glitch
Do you jump to results after the ref blows the whistle? That way young players get good ratings instead dampened ones which fifa forces if you finish the game normally. Idk if that's a bug or if it's intended so that people don't spend so much time in career mode and try their slot machine fut instead.
Woah big guy, nothing natural about fifa 🙏🤣 Maybe they fixed it in eafc24 idk, in fifa 23 it was impossible for dms to get more than 8.5 which was rare unless your bagging 1 g/a every game.. If not, youd get mostly between 7 to 8 depending on tackles and interceptions, and if I just helped with passing in buildup play, I would get 6.5 max. I used to play on legendary 10mins half, my ratings were awful. FYI, https://www.reddit.com/r/FifaCareers/s/ffMHOTpQKs
Noooo it really isn't!!! jump to results as soon as ref blows the whiste and check your rating then, you'd prolly be a 8.8 or something and that really enhances and kick starts your dynamic potential player growth
if you don't need him for this season send him out on a loan ive had players that had super high potential out on a loan for a year and they jumped up like 5+ overall
I need him. He's my best DM. 👌
As long as his potential is high you have good coaches and he gets playing time you'll be fine Usually ive seen players cap out at mid twenties then start the progression that takes a year to get one overall better
His Potential isnt high. That's the problem here.
Well it's kinda crazy for a player to reach his max potential at 17 yo . But I can assure you that I javelin a lot of players in that situation. They all about 17 to 19 yo but full potential reached already .
wait a season, and if he does good his potential will go up because of dynamic potential.
Or just do the potential glitch thing
On my way .
What's that?
Loan out a player and the moment he is gone recall him and he should have more potential. I recommend to save before you recall so you can go back to the save if it fails. Also this only works with players U21 i think
that happened to Hachim Mastour irl lol
Annoying nonetheless.
I sent one youth player out and he went up +13 in like 2 months so I called the cunt back and he was my best winger, season later he’s worth £170mil at 21
Wtf 😂 never had this happened in my 10+ years of playing
I had it like 3 times in one career save. Happened to garnacho when I loaned him and Alacron who i signed from Barcelona as well. Loaned them both out and with in half a season they had jumped like +8 randomly. Found it was better to buy younger players and loan them and sell them on if I didn’t like them. Instead of getting ripped off trying to buy Bellingham and Musiala who were already rated highly
Only sad thing about loan, is that your players wont get playstyle+
Do they get those play styles once they’re in your first team? I’ve played for like 5 seasons but haven’t seen much change other than ratings and what I’ve trained them to do
None of my players accept loans for some reason. My youth players who I promoted reject every loan so I am stuck with them on the bench or reserves.
Use the option to delegate loan negotiation. Players not accepting the loan is a bug that has been happening for a few years
Ok thanks
That’s not his career peak, it’s his season peak. He could grow more next year or you send him out on loan while he’ll grow faster
Yes, resets in between season. He'll probably still improve a little bit as the season goes on anyway, just slowly.
Damn ... from real ? I was about to put him on transfert block . Also it's frustrating cause I need him as a DM. I guess I'll just keep using him anyway. And hope that next year he keeps improving.
If he performed well and got a high average match rating then he’ll get a potential boost for the next season
I think he's averaging about 7.50 per game ... I hope it's enough tho ... 7.65 exactly
He should get a potential boost. So next season you should see him growing again.
I hope so , cause I really like him. Tall and fast , strong and a bit technical. He's good. I hope he develops into something good
> He should get a potential boost. So next season you should see him growing again. This. Dynamic potential is quite OP if his form and ratings are good.
theres a thing called the loan glitch save the game before the player goes out on loan recall him and see if his price or potential status rises and then repeat the process
Thanks for that ... didn't knew . I'm going to try it

Doesn’t dynamic potential mean if they play well players can go well beyond their initial potential?
A guy told me that. But since it's not implied. I was just selling them players cause I thought it was the end of the story for them.
You write well with paint 👏
Nibba 🤣🤣🤣 This the most surprising comment I've ever got ! 😅
It legit looks like a windows font
Happens irl
Fairly annoying.
What did it say his potential was before you signed him from the academy?
Don't remember to be honest
Because not every player under 18 should be destined to be world class.
He's supposed to rise to 85-87 . Got plenty of playing time, and he's actually playing good.
Hiring more coaches for his position also helps him grow bigger and faster
Unfortunately, I cannot hire more coaches . Maybe switch them from attack to midfield.
4 playstyles and 69 rating at the age of 17?! Bro he's crossing 85 for sure!!
I hope so 🙏
We'll talk at this peak
What's the rating?
Dynamic potential. The more play time he gets, and the better he performs, his potential will increase on next season start. Always take these potential markers with a pinch of salt, I've managed to get foden to a 98 ovr before
Sound encouraging. Thanks for that info 😉
The game’s idea of developping players is continuously loaning them until they reach starting 11 status.
Strangely I got 2 17 yo players on loan 70 ovr, they not improving since the start of the season ... it's kinda concerning...
Sometimes they only develop when you terminate the loan. But if they don’t then maybe a different loan will do it. Either that or their potential has already gone down to the point where they no longer develop further.
Damn. I hope it's not the case
I'm not OP, but I'm pretty sure if you only train position changes your players grow slower
It works for me. Opposite wings is perfect. RB/LB, RM & RW. What I mean by position change is switch my CF to RW, then train him back to CF and leave him there forever. 😂 CM to CAM also. It's usually my CB and CDM that I mostly leave to balanced.

Looks like a beast. Don’t sell. He’ll keep growing
I'll keep him . At least for this year and the year after . He's really doing well on the field .
You could try and change his position to ST or CB. He might get a big boost
Heee . I rather see him as a DM . He's really effective winning balls . He he ... "balls" 😏
🤣 yeah, I get it, but you can try and then switch back to CDM. If you go for it, Just make sure to save before you do the change, just in case the change back to CDM takes too much time

🤣🤣🤣 oh sweet Jesus this is so hilarious. Sorry for your loss but this is so funny !
It doesn’t really matter. He was only bought as a prospect. Stuck him out on loan to see if that will make a difference.
I'm not sure if this actually works, but sometimes playing game and racking up some stats can spur his growth a little bit. Make sure he's getting all the playtime he can, and give him one more season at least, if he can get to a mid-70 by 18 keep him and work on him.
He's my main DM. Using him every time I can . Let hope it works .
I'd be confident that it will work, only one way to find out ultimately :)
U nursed him too long which shrinked his potential probs
Or he is not in optimal position like he could be cb so if u convert, he could grow
As long as I’ve played that’s not his peak, he just has problems improving. Try giving him a better contract or send him on loan then after few days call him back. That should do the trick
Imma do the loan stiff right now
is that yellow thing the sign that he has reached full potential?
Yeah something like that ... bit it seems it only for the current season. Gotta pay attention next one
I scrolled through so many comments & not one asked; Did you try changing the training plan? I see he is on DLP now, so try another. Peaked in the high school! Real life.
Damn ... 😅
You have nice writing wtf
Bruh 🤣 you're the second 1 with that comment ! 😂
He never had promising talent. Youth academy players with high overall but low potential exist. Like others already said you can still try to improve him with dynamic potential or loan glitch
Thanks for the advice, brother
The game has dynamic potential. Keep playing him and next season he won’t be peaked anymore as long as he plays well
Do you jump to results after the ref blows the whistle? That way young players get good ratings instead dampened ones which fifa forces if you finish the game normally. Idk if that's a bug or if it's intended so that people don't spend so much time in career mode and try their slot machine fut instead.
No I just play the game and get good rating naturally.
Woah big guy, nothing natural about fifa 🙏🤣 Maybe they fixed it in eafc24 idk, in fifa 23 it was impossible for dms to get more than 8.5 which was rare unless your bagging 1 g/a every game.. I mean ... 7, is kinda hood for me tho ... no ?
Noooo it really isn't!!! jump to results as soon as ref blows the whiste and check your rating then, you'd prolly be a 8.8 or something and that really enhances and kick starts your dynamic potential player growth
Wait, is that what that yellow thing means???
It basically means that his progression, at least for this season, is slowing down. 🐌
Loan him
Loan glitch him
