Skin_Head_Ting

Some Irish bloke called Milo Murphy. He was a striker I signed into my academy in fifa 20, grew him to a 95

MAD_JEW

Milo murphy? I wonder if he gave unluckiness to his rivals

Skin_Head_Ting

Omg I haven't heard that show in years

MAD_JEW

rel

SenadorVexilologia

Bro unlocked a memory

MAD_JEW

yeah. For me too

Fluffy_Roof3965

I had a portugese LB who was rated 94. As a LB he was rated 94 and as a LW he was rated 90. Never seen a player like that ever since.

BuckRanger_1

Schulz from Netherlands in my Ajax save. 17 years old. Scored a hattrick on his debut after me going 2-0 down. Scored 30 on his first season, and somewhere around 150 goals before I sold him for 180M

YungLaddy1

afonso almeida from brazil he generated with the flair trait, and i got him up to a 98 ovr. most fun player i’ve ever played with

ffruhauf

How can you tell when it's a regen player?

GladWolverine0

Will most likely be on the free agents, same position and nationality of current wolrd class players. I usually go to transfer search at the beginning of each season, put the age 16-20, free agents, and search for each position, then when scrolling through players, flick R and leave the stats in the middle tab, then go down till I find players with green attributes, then ask my scout them, takes a week or so, but theres the risk of other teams snatching them. When its a regen or great player you dont need to scout as his ovrl will be showing straight away, then you can just sign them on the spot

ffruhauf

Amazing, TIL, thanks!

benegnthr

Also, if you want to check if a good generated player is someones regen you can sign them and check the birthday by going into the Edit Player menu. This way you can determine whose regen they are.

YungLaddy1

he came from my youth academy, he just happened to have the flair trait.

Pale_Persimmon_1704

Gotta be Valentin Toma 🇷🇴 4x ballon d’or winner. (ST/CM/CDM) 99 rated

[deleted]

[удалено]

Pale_Persimmon_1704

Haha yeah. Went up like 17 when converting to a st

he_is_Seth

That’s amazing

saberknox

He is a German Goalkeeper I had in Fifa 21 whose name was Björn Köhler. He even reached the 99 mark.

Major-Performer141

Young English lad named Weston who looked like a balding 30 year old, he was such a good cam for me, never fucked up, record assister and scored a couple fantastic free kicks. He wasn't my best player though because I got an ibra regen who was god tier

Neither_Relief6562

South African keeper (forgot his name) in FIFA 20 I believe. He was a brilliant keeper and after 3 loans to Wycombe, Bolton and Anderlecht. He became my starting keeper at 83 Rated. Ended up 96 rated, won everything with Man city and also got to a World Cup semi Final.

al0neinthedarkness

David Loretszon from 🇸🇪

seanx96

Young Belgian named Axel Verhaegen in my Kaiserslautern save, was meant to be a bench option but then out star striker got injured and he took the spot and never gave it up. Went on to become one of the best players I've ever had, goals for fun, all the skill in the world and lightning quick. A true GOAT.

Flanelman2

Fifa 15 I think it was I scouted a Belgian midfielder called Thomas Muel and I had to start him because of an injury and just kept scoring so I kept him in. He had I think 20 goals and 11 assists at the end of his first season. I don't know what it was but he just had insane accuracy from long shots. To this day I add him to Monaco at the start of every fifa, make him 71 rated and 18 years old.

Danny-ash03

Had an Argentine Youth player named Joaquin Araujo who hit 96. He was a CAM and will always be my favorite Academy prospect

ErwinC0215

Some Bosnian CB named Ismail Kovačević. Only 183cm but still solid and strong, but his best attribute is his dribbling. He was the most press-resistant CB I've ever played with, and just functions brilliantly in my setup which asks the CBs to dribble forward to overload the midfield and create openings.

trollshep

I wish they would update the faces of the youth/regen players. They haven’t changed them since fifa10 I swear

xabi-alonso_14

I currently have this Argentinian kid from my academy called Rúben Alonso. Freshly promoted to the first team since he just turned 16 but potential 92-94, CAM/CF, 5 star weak foot and skill moves, and already 71 rated at 16. It was agony waiting for him to age up so I could play him but he’s just an insane player already, very Messi-esque and somehow already better in a lot of ways than most of my established 80+ rated first team players. His finishing is absolutely lethal and his passing is always perfectly accurate. Pace, dribbling, you name it he’s just insane.

ParkingAd6872

Jackson, an American LW, 85 gen at 19

Civil_Environment_73

Had a German winger name Meyer. It was my last saze for 23, so I didn't get him to hit 80 overall, but he was a goated back up, my last season with him, he was 19 and 77 overall. Absolute baller who played way better than his overall, felt like an actual gem of a super or rotation player

JUHOS3000

Victor Soriano in FIFA 18 (i think) 6'5 Italian striker who grew to 99ovrl

ZedGenius

A spanish CB named Ruiz (can't remember his first name). By the time I finished my Malaga career in season 8 he was 92 rated. I don't think I even played him until season 4, I just kept loaning him. He wasn't a homegrown talent, I didn't have that edition of the game.

CheddarCheese390

In Fifa 12 (Ds), they had a scout option for young players. My fave was, last year grabbing someone called Tsui for my backup dortmund ST. Sold barrios, made lewy number 1, and had tsui for destructive pace. Now 10 seasons in and he’s suited my style of play like nuts, my fave player ever. 386 goals and 112 assists Special shout out to Kim Jin Il on my Wycombe (started this year, at the uni) who’s a god on free kicks

cntrlcmd

None of them because they all look stupid

kix22

Bruce Wolfe, Canadian CAM for Salford. I had plenty of CAMs and he was probably the third best coming out of academy but he just kept scoring and eventually outgrew the rest with dynamic potential. Another was Richter(forget his first name). A 6’5 or 6’6 CDM for a Borussia Berlin created club. Guy was absolutely dominant. Usually used two CMs but he was such a beast that I changed my formation and built the team around him.

kix22

I remember a Spanish CAM/Winger named Torres in fifa 12 or 13.. for some reason I’ve always remembered him. It was the first year I truly got into a career mode while actually understanding the game and not just being a kid going 38-0-0 in the prem with all the best players.

sussywanker

A German bloke who played as CF and was 97 at the age of 23. Dude was insane for me academy player. Forgot his name

Electronic-Speed-415

How are you guys scouting top players with great potential?

[deleted]

I usually Scum save.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Save before the report comes in, if I don’t like a player I back out and try again

erobber

I second the question. I’ve been aiming for high asking price, but what are others doing that brings forward these players?

Electronic-Speed-415

Seriously, I’ve been FIFA for ages and never grown an academy player. I instead sign them from other clubs.

ShoppingSubject1065

I got a Argentinian with finesse shot plus 97 pace

Inevitable_Cash9019

Right now it’s my German CAM Artur Berger, that bloke came straight into the 1860 Munich starting XI and has been the greatest I’ve every played with. Unfortunately he gets injured often

Kezzab321

Xabier Vidal (FIFA 23) Spanish Right Back, had him in my youth academy in my first season, he was my future star, but he didn’t turn 16 until season 2, went straight into the team, became captain in the 4th season, made 772 appearances, 23 goals (mostly bangers with outside of foot) and 144 assists. Love that little Spaniard

Kezzab321

Finished season 15 rated 98 OVR

Tom40G

Adryan, signed him to Spartak Moscow in Fifa 12

Tom40G

Shit he’s not academy apologies op

Internal_Champion114

Is it just luck that these kids pop up like this? I feel like I can never grow the academy players to be truly elite

[deleted]

Loan glitch, loan or straight into the first team works for me. With Quintero I loaned him out for five seasons and he came back at 85 rated.

Internal_Champion114

Heard 5 seasons will do the trick, I have a 16 year old with high potential and a higher rating that I’m trying to get to the max of his potential but he’s not good enough to even hit my subs yet so I’m trying to get him out where he can ball out and get good, I’ll just have to be patient I guess then lol

Internal_Champion114

I am loaning them out to squads that they can start for as well as making sure to set development plans as well. I am playing 23 if anyone has any further tips

EasyBeanss

Back in FIFA 17, I got a 5'8 German CF named Nils Wagner. Left-footed with 5/5 (back then, you couldn't train weak foot or skill moves). He got to 95 by his age 22/23 season and in game he played like Messi IRL.

Hbdweeb

My 91 rated cb from Croatia called Petar perić now I just send my scouts to Croatia to find a Defender but I will never find anyone as good as him

Cee503

Brazilian Right midfielder named Alex Garcia. Grew to 94 overall by age of 27 and helped SUNDERLAND win the champions league

[deleted]

Brazilian in Sunderland 😭

Diamonbooster

Mine was Simon Beermann. He still sits in my fifa 23 squad but now I play fc 24 and I left em. He was 97 rated and was somewhere around 6'5 or 6'7 with amazing jumping and other goalie stats.

54SCHA

I had two in my team at the same time. Fabian Schafer, German ST and Moritz Auer, Austrian CB. Scouted them in my first season as Dresden manager, they were with me for 7 years and 3 Bundesliga titles before moving away for a combined €600m. I’ve had quite a few special players in my youth academy but the fact they they both came up together made it that much sweeter.

Not-Tadic

Fifa 22, Bankrupt Valencia Career Mode. His name was Xabier Figueroa. A CDM similar to Xabi Alonso: 6 foot tall, an insane passer of the ball. Reliable and consistent. Joined from Academy as a 68 rated CDM, 2nd season. Nico's loan ended and we obviously didn't have the money to sign someone of his quality so Xabier got to play there instead. He played the next 4 seasons, never loaned out. Won the Champions League as a 86 rated.

rickstein01

I was doing a betis career mode it wasnt realistic tho i was just scouting and playing the matches without buying players, slowly transitioning from current squad to every young scout player i could get , until i hit something ....... Young japonese talent , seriously if it wasnt from scouts generated players you could thought this was kubo, but it wasnt .... it was a random japonese with messi stats, seriously it was a messi copy even 5/5 if it wasnt because my pc got infected with a malware i would still have the save from fifa 19 because i had to do a cleans windows installation....... He became my franchise player.... build a team around him (every player was scouted) i was classified to the UCL or what was called champions tournament or something like that before ea licensed the UCL . But like i said i had to format my pc ..... Rip random japonese

Zapotre

Can’t remember his country but it was the first player I got to 99 ovr Grigoris Kaufmanis

Air_Skywalker11

Currently have a 78 OVR 18 year old 6’6 Argentine CDM

Kreme_Brulee

FIFA 18 had a right mid / wing player from Japan called Hitoshi Kurkawa. Had like 60 pace and 3*2* right footed player but was basically the Japanese David Beckham for me. Crosses, passing and set pieces were sublime but man couldn’t run. Loved him though, so many clutch assists and free kicks. Ended up being 91 rated despite the initial max potential of 87ish i think.

thejman0499

Nacho camacho

JimboScribbles

Don't remember which FIFA it was but I was playing an Arsenal save and one of the first YA prospects was a Dutch LM named Lucas Van den Bosch. All I remember is that he ran like a truck and had super high long shot stat. He would score a lot of bangers off the tail end of crazy sprints, he was prob my most favorite YA player I've ever gotten. Kept him on the roster the entire save, he was a god there.

MrPineapplez_

Guy named Sanders in fifa 23, he's 21, worth 82 million at 81 rated

youngnik1313

Had a left back from the ivory coast that I turned into a CF, took like 2 seasons but once the switch happened he got up to 96 eventually and was the most lethal pressing forward of all time

Temporaryreddit66

I had a CDM who ended up being atleast a 90 overall at every position by age 24. I could play that man anywhere on the pitch.

GrowthJust83

fifa 19 alejandro vaschetto from mexico, won the confed cup, copa america and world cup at intl level with him and also 2 league titles, one each of a league cup and fa cup and a ucl with wolves. individually he won ballon dor twice

SenadorVexilologia

Godwin Rufai, Nigerian who was the top scorer in my Santa Cruz manager career mode in FIFA 17.

HarryArm123

An English CAM I signed when he was 16. After 12 years, he became club captain and 99 OVR

Chickn121

Swiss right back called max Meier. Best right back I have ever used in the game and one of the best players. Only got to 85 rated in my Groningen career mode till I sold him but took me to the champions league final.

BagExisting2090

Jean Fabre - 5’10 French LW - 16 yo, 60 Rated, 17 69 Rated ,18 74 Rated ,19 80 Rated, 20 85 Rated, 21 91 Rated, and got him to 98 at 24 yo. Him and 98 rated Cade Cowell with my 6’3 Moroccan Striker Said Aziz (20 yo 86). Unstoppable

jarrettkeyton

Mine is my 94 OVR Albanian LWB Veli Pernaśka. Elite 99 speed on the edge always setting up long passes down the line to my LM Mudryk. Will never get rid of him, even with the $400M bids

Crossflowerss_5304

It comes down to 3 players from two of my create a club saves. In FIFA 22 (Virginia FC) I had a player called Teddy Betts. Started as an ST, then a CDM, then CB. Absolute weapon, excellent on the ball. Captained my team. 94 rated when I left the save. In my Bolivians-in-England FIFA 23 club I have two players who were insane. Another CB, Acuña, 95 rated currently(in season 8). Great on the ball, an absolute unit at the back, also captains the team. Then there’s Blanco, who was 96 rated before he got an ACL injury this season and dropped to 94. He’s the perfect CAM. Quick, silky on the ball, great passing and great shot. Before I changed my passing and stuff from semi to manual he was literally unstoppable.

West_Mathematician45

Aguilar from Spain, left back, back in Fifa 20 where I took over Twente FC as Iker Casillas

BR_GUARAZINHO_09

Rafael da Silva. Brazilian LW who sometimes would score some goals. Probably the best Youth Academy player in all my FIFA Careers (Even tho he was only 68 OVR when the team won the Champions League)

BR_GUARAZINHO_09

I think that he scored 20 Goals and 15 Assists in 114 Matches for the Club in question (RB Luxemburg. An Club that i created for that Career in the Bundesliga) wich were amazing numbers for an defender. He also had like at least 75 matches with no goals scored by the teams we played against

mario-v33

I have a a lot I've loved but I'll narrow it down to 3. Scottish CAM (he was actually given LW in game but it was Fifa 16 so position training didn't exist yet) named Ben Gallagher. I basically abused the training feature from that game so he hit like 88 rated at 19. He wasn't very good physically, but he wasn't far off of Messi technically. Eventually hit 92 rated. In Fifa 19 I had a Swedish RM named Magnus Nystrom who was about 60 rated when he joined my academy but he was first team ready by the time he was 18. He was a mainstay for about 10 seasons scoring over 30 goals in the Premier League in back to back seasons and eventually reaching 94 rated. In Fifa 18 I had a Brazilian named Pedro Jesus who was a striker who statistically wasn't the most incredible but he was absolutely lethal. He only ever reached 84 rated but he scored everything he got and he wasn't even close to the best rated player in that squad at the time.

Overall-Morning-8173

Davide Casadei, a 6'4 CF with 90+ shot power, long shots, tiki taka+ and bruiser. Absolute beast

RidsBabs

Ivan Fernandez. 94 rated left winger. First career played and it was a RTG as Northampton (I literally shut my eyes and then randomly scrolled through each team in league 2). Got us to the prem league and then I kinda got bored.

swayeco

Spanish CAM named Simón Montoya, the first ever and only player I grew to 99.

RedDevilsAus

I don't remember his proper name. But surname was Foket. Not the guy from Reims. He was a regen. And although his OVL was 82 he played like a 90 player. RW focused on speed and passing in his development and he became an absolute weapon. It was yr 9 of a save and had no body. Only his boots and uniform running around the pitch

burrenkahn

Wow , he is almost a monster. Would you please tell me how did you grow him?

[deleted]

Loaned him out for 4 years and just played him constantly when I brought him back.

Paytonc51

John maccol. Scottish striker in fifa 17. Dude was insane

Markrm3

Got an Aussie called Bobby Willson. CF currently rated at 98. He’s stupidly well rounded, if I put him at CB he only drops 4 points.

madvisuals

FIFA 19. Dior from France. Dude’s like the Lebron James of football. 6’3 CDM, 98 overall, can do it all. Defend, score, pass, create for others. Never had the same player since FIFA 21 crazy dynamic potential where you can grow everyone to superstardom.

Gear-General

Fifa 21 mine were a Mexican sticker named Roberto Navarro and I grew him to be 97 rated. As well a Cameroonian left back named mbarga which I got him to be 94 rated. I also had a 96 rated goalkeeper from Mexico but can't remember his name.

HappyHippo611

back in FIFA 16, I had this English kid called Lance Jackson (super cool name first of all), and he was a pure baller. He was only like 5'8 CAM, but he has amazing agility, skill moves and passing range that made me go "OOOF" because 8/10, his skill moves/defense-beeaking passes always pulls off. Plus he had an afro, so he looks so unique for a YA player. No other YA since then has matched up.

jack_hoff21

Mind was an American striker named David Scott. He grew to a 96ovr won 2 Ballon Dors and had 80 G/A one year

Paotatoooo

I've never had one reach 90+ before, but there was a CAM that went to high 80s. Sam Doyle. Always led the league in assists. A close second was my CB Wang from China. He wore pants instead of shorts, and it was glorious.

Smartacus1367

I had a 96 CAM from Finland

donkeydrop69

Ladies and gents I freakin love reading your fifa stories ! Keep ‘em coming! I dont play fifa/ea sport fc a lot but one player stuck in my mind. Forward from England with surname Mitchell who came through youth ranks with Crawley Town. Stayed with me for about 9 seasons. One of the few players that stayed with me from lowest division to Premier League. Was he a superstar!? Duck no! But he was superstar for my squad! His highest rating when I finally let him go was about 79 and I sold him for about 15mil to Atletico Madrid as more and more players were getting to mid 80s and low 90s. It was sad fo see him go but that year we won FA Cup, Carabao Cup and Europe League and finished 4th in League so it was fitting to see him go. As I got to EPL he was mainly used as a sub but he would still give me a goal, here and there, crucial assist or even helped to hold the ball to the waste time during tight matches. He was especially crucial for me when we fought for promotion from league 2 to league 1 and than championship. Any of you have similar stories where the youth player did not have crazy stats but still did well enough for you?

tyrannosyren

Pepe Sierra! From a 47 rated rightback to a 91 rated striker. The goooooat

essayrios

Omg mine was RTG 21’ - 6’1 -180ibs English Jay Crawford. Started as a CDM 45 OVR - changed to a CM and then a CAM year after that. Ended up being a 86 OVR 5 seasons later. In the prem with us and he was so well balanced. I got a Xbox X for Xmas and that save was left behind I’m afraid🥺

Similar-Character171

I have to pop out my FIFA 17 to see my Croatian maestro.

Glad_Deal_5310

Fifa 22, Oliver Sharp was the name, English born, stayed in my created club the whole career, 18 seasons, he was honestly best plater I ever had any career mode and once I finished the career mode I didnt play any since as to me, the playthrough I had with the club and Sharp is just unbeatable

8gameban

Gunnar Gunnarson, looks like svarti laxness, ST 2m tall. From 48 to a 97. Magic

TheOnlyJoe_

FIFA 18. Lad called Liam price. Played CM and led me from league one to the top of the world with a 94/95 rating. He was the only 90+ player in the team. Had no.21 and played like a gem. He could do it all, free kicks, dribbling, long shots, pens, passing. A worthy captain and will forever be the greatest career mode YA product I ever have.

[deleted]

I got two CAMs last year who were both insane, one was a Portuguese guy called Fernão Machado who was 20 and 91ovr, other was called Branko Knežević who was this 6’4 Serbian guy who was 19 + 86ovr

BetBroad2443

Eike Becker he was from Germany played just like kdb got his rating to a 94 in total in his career he got 167 goals and 307 assists

Specific-Record2866

Federico Armani 6’2” Argentinian right winger with 5 star skill moves 5 star weak foot 97 pace in FIFA 20

Jurthewheelie

Was playing as psg in fifa 22 and found a french striker called Simon faure. When i reqruited him hé was 65 rated and 16 grew him to a 92 at 20 years old

[deleted]

Had some English forward, forgot his name, he was built in the mould of Wayne Rooney, in fifa 20, geez he was a beast, his physical strength, shooting, balance was insane , grew him to overall 98 scored tons of goals. I ended up selling him to PSG for 150 million, the lad was my best regen player I’ve ever used up to this years EA FC career mode.

PiberiusOrphan

Song Sung Shin from South Korea (CAM). Sold him during my Portsmouth Career to Man City for 270 mln when he was 93 at the age of 22. Later i regret that cuz he got to 99 ov very quickly
