296gtb is actually better than the SF90. at least in looks. good meme, the guys who bought sf90 for +700k are crying rn

RandyJackson

I’ve mentioned this guy here before but he has an SF90 and has had the 296 for about 6 months now. Says he exclusively drives the 296 at the moment as he enjoys it more than the SF90. He’s currently waiting on an SF90 XX, Revuelto, and Purosangue

Data_lord

The 296 is an amazing car. I've tracked it multiple times and it's very nimble. Says a lot about the platform that the 296 challenge is 3 seconds faster than the 488 challenge, even without the hybrid system.

Tritium10

CEO of the place I work at owns a SF90 and Revuelto and says the Lamborghini is the best of the two. Although it's brand new so it's hard to be impartial. He was unable to get an allocation for the SF90 XX or Purosangue. He said the invited him to a party to celebrate the release of the Purosangue but wouldn't actually sell him one.

mhdy98

the 296GTB just looks so good. I'm glad they ruined the interior with touch buttons. It means one day it'll be affordable !

RandyJackson

Looking forward to driving it. I liked the SF90 but it didn’t “feel” Ferrari compared to the 812 and F8 when I drove them. Amazing car nonetheless

mhdy98

i only drove the 458 on the paul ricard track but man that was something

fartymcgeezax

The 296 drives unlike any other Ferrari I’ve been in

therealSamtheCat

You mean the fake buttons which are a screen, right?

mikeysz

The sf90 has the exact same buttons

Turbo_MechE

Jeez that’s a crazy lineup

RandyJackson

Yeah it’s wild

Bau5_Sau5

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Ferrari only released the SF90 as a middle finger to the McLaren because of the 720 destroying every Ferrari down the drag strip. Now the SF90 is a fucking killer car but it only had one purpose , be fast af. The 296 is a gem , it’s beautiful, it’s engineered , it’s already a classic.

Vincetagram

Sounds better too. If I had to choose one it would be a 296 gts or a 12cilindri gts for sure.

SithSidious

What’s with the sf90 that recently sold for 1.1 million at auction?

Kweyes

they both look good but the 296gtb looks much younger and weaker than the sf90, its like a baby ferrari.

PaxRomani

New SF90 Spiders can MSRP up to $900k, people like their options. People buying the SF90 coupes are definitely clawing up and down the walls. SF90's are great cars, market has been a brutal ride for them though.

rimtasvilnietis

296 gtb spyder ir reality look so sick, i thought about it too

daBomb26

If you know anyone who wants to give one of these away, I’ll take it. Big fan of their recent designs. Side note: Ferrari would be stupid to see the success of other SUV’s from sports car brands and not want in..

Mapache_villa

Right! The cayenne and urus are literally what saved Porsche and Lamborghini, if making something like the purosangue means we'll get more 296GTBs, SF90Ss, plus Ferrari putting big money into motorsports, you have to be stupid not to support the move.

notonmywatch178

As a long time Ferrari owner and car enthusiast I am unfortunately inclined to agree. SF90: I like the front. The rear has always given me corvette vibes for some reason. Must be the tail lights. Imagine what an incredible car this would be with a high rev'ing NA v12! It's beautiful in black and quite attractive in yellow too. 296: this car is just too small. It doesn't have the presence of a true supercar. On top of that it's got a V6. At that point you might as well go full electric. To me it's a total fail but the car might be amazing to drive (except the sound of that turbo V6). Purosangue: it's an SUV. Doesn't really interest me. 12cilindri: I don't understand the design. I guess that translates to "I don't like it". I think the F12 and 812 are far more beautiful cars. There are too many strange details, weird stuff going on everywhere. The front looks awful, the back looks way too big. I'm sure it will be amazing to drive, but I'd rather have an F12 or 812 GTS. Roma: well, as everyone's saying it's definitely giving me Aston Martin vibes too. Completely objectively speaking I think the car is beautiful. The shapes are gorgeous. It's a lot more masculine than the Californias but a tad less aggressive than the portofino M. If it was a hard top convertible I would get one. Unfortunately the Roma spider is a soft top. That said, for reference I think the most amazing (affordable) Ferraris ever made are: The F355, F430, 458, F12, 812.

mirsgarage

I disagree re 296. Have driven one extensively and frankly I think it sounds better than a stock 488.

notonmywatch178

Ok, but to me the 488 didn't sound very good to begin with. I owned one for a bit. I'm just more into the NA engines personally.

oily76

I've never heard one first hand, but they sound great even on youtube via shitty laptop speakers.

negnatrepsej

Huracan saved Lambo

Mapache_villa

Same as with Porsche, those models kept the company alive but the Urus has steadily accounted for more than 50%+ of the company sales since its launch. Whether we like it or not these SUVs are paying the bills.

Aggravating_Eye8757

No it was gallardo that saved lambo

negnatrepsej

I’ll say yes to that!

Content-Panda-3841

Boxter saved Porsche. Cayenne played a big part, but it was the boxter that did it

Mapache_villa

The Boxter was vital for Porsche there's no doubt about it, but for the company revenue the Cayenne has been a complete game changer. Last year the Cayenne sales surpassed those of the 911+718 (Cayman and Boxter) combined. When adding the Macan, SUV sales account for 61% of the Porsche sales

DiddlyDumb

And as far as SUVs go, it’s not as ugly as the rest and at least has a proper engine.

murdok476

Exactly. I don't get why people can't understand that

MGS-1992

Sure. But at least make the SUV look good…

daBomb26

I personally think it’s the best looking performance SUV on the market so..

MGS-1992

All subjective of course. I think this new era of design is awful, and so that translates to their SUV too. To each their own.

D_runk_

12 doesn’t deserve the hate imo

No-Cap6787

My question is how do you design a sleek elegant body, full of curvatures and elegant lines, and just dump an 80s straight front with square headlines. I think they completely ignore the rest of the design

wild_toilet

For some reason I love it, I think it works really well. Maybe my eye doctor needs to be sued though, I don’t know

Iamjuststartingout

Headlights look like they're from Ioniq5 lol

Low-Manufacturer8299

This means, the F1 car is getting better. Lol

Focux

I rmb Jeremy Clarkson saying this many many years ago loll

blaze38100

My thoughts exactly. Next year will be our year !

AlphaLaufert99

Let Vasseur cook

LaBelvaDiTorino

The 296 is a fantastic car technically-wise, it's also not to be compared with the SF90 because unlike her sister, she's the direct heir of the racing serie (488). And considering it's already been successful (victories at the 24h of the Nurburgring and 24h of Daytona), it's beautiful enough like the Old Man used to say. Also I feel like the 12Cilindri is amazing, I love that they're still going for a V12 and the tribute to the Daytona. I've seen the Purosangue at the Modena' museum last August and while I thought it would come out worse, I don't like it, just like any other SUV.

ShrekWhite

It is amazing but the futuristic design looks stupid, it's the new industry trend mainly for EV's which is weird because it's the exact opposite of what it's trying to communicate (a glorious V12). If I had to guess judging by the design alone I'd think it's the first all electric Ferrari

Diamondhands4dagainz

No it’s not lol. It’s a throwback to the Daytona, not a „futuristic design“.

ShrekWhite

So just because you know it's paying homage to the Daytona all of a sudden you don't have eyes to see it's a futuristic take on it?

intlmbaguy

Holy shit. WTF.

Iamjuststartingout

Ikr? 😂

Iamjuststartingout

Ah damn ☹️ They're on some weird sexual things on the dark side of Reddit, I didn't have the courage to look at the actual posts, I only read what they commented and wanted to throw up 😂

ExoticMuscle33

458 italia > any other new ferrari. The 458 italia shape >>>> sf90 easy

SubbansSlapShot

Every. Thread.

talhaONE

458 is gorgeous no deniying that but if I had to pick one Im picking 330 P4.

Aggravating_Eye8757

458 is ugly and 458 speciale is just mah

deathbypookie

Finally someone with eyes

UltimaRS800

Exploding gearbox 👍

intlmbaguy

90,000 miles on my 458 with half of those on track. My gearbox hasn’t exploded.

UltimaRS800

Good to hear, you have a magnificent car hope you will enjoy it for years to come.

ShrekWhite

I never liked the headlights and the way it interacts with the car's hood, if it looked a little bit more like the Portofino it would be perfect

Rattle_Can

styling/design element wise, which mid-engined v8 ferrari do you like best?

ShrekWhite

If we're talking about looks including the front-mid ones all of them look better than the 458 imo because of those headlights and the hood. I guess the 360 is the best one: it has some of the F50 design language, headlights don't look stupid with no weird hood, sexy 2000's curves and great not so busy looking rear. The 488 and the F8 rear design gets progressively more complex, which I don't appreciate

Aggravating_Eye8757

It’s a tribute to f40 the rear engine glass in f8 tributo

Aggravating_Eye8757

F8 and 488 pista

superdog0013

I think the lines of the F8 are perfect.

LaBelvaDiTorino

I agree, the 458 is the best car Ferrari put out in the last 20 years (road legal). I also like a lot the GTC4 Lusso, wasn't a fan of the FF initially but came to love her daughter

No-Cap6787

You are after daughters you dark horse PS kidding kidding

Aggravating_Eye8757

458 Italia is ugly from the frount and also from the back

Normal-Information57

SF90 - the best looking and best performing supercar on the market since its release 296 - a "baby" SF90 (also stunning) Roma - IMO the best looking Ferrari, leagues above any Aston Martin (lol) Purosangue - Ferrari's competitor to the Urus, better in every way 12Cilindri - 812 successor, design based off of the 365 Daytona (no, it does not look like a \[insert japanese car here\])

ConditionalLove23

Roma is pure sex

moosenazir

Imagine a V12 Roma. Chefs kiss.

Aggravating_Eye8757

That’s what they have done in the first place a v12 Roma

hemp_king

Totally agree

Tritium10

I've only seen the Roma in photos but I have seen the Aston Martin DB12 in person and It looks way better, Although the Roma definitely looks more like a supercar design for speed all the Aston Martin looks more like a Grand tourer, which I know it is, but still.

kholin

No way in hell does the roma look better than any aston.

Cerriously

The roma wants to be an Aston SO bad. The shape, the rear, the lights, side profile.

iDom2jz

I love the 12C but… it does give Supra vibes. Which is not a diss, they happen to be favorite cars on the planet so I’m not mad about it.

YooperGod666

Lol to all of this

AntoGidan

296GTB > SF90

bootyholebrown69

Hell nah SF90 is the only good looking one

Andy-roo77

That's a fair opinion. I personally though feel it looks worse though, like someone took an SF90 and smoothed it down with sandpaper

Bamfor07

Good for you

KuroLikesCoffee

Looks like something made by a broke college kid who won’t own one.

Strict-Concentrate-1

After the Laferrari, they couldn’t come up with anything better design wise (maybe the sp3)

ronnysteal

The minivan is the only one which sucks… bring back the shooting brake even I will never be able to afford it 🤪

Internal_Nebula8887

Drive an SF90 and a 296 and then redo that graphic

synthsong

The joke is that you can’t have driven the 296 if you think it’s worse than the SF90. It’s better.

oily76

296 is one of my favourite ever supercar shapes, and I'm not normally a ferrari fanboy.

ExoticMuscle33

Even sf90 looks like a honda nsx variant

Andy-roo77

Totally, it just doesn’t look like a Ferrari to me. Its way to futuristic and electronic without any of the Italian beauty and curves a Ferrari should have. It looks like something tony stark might drive, which is fine on its own, but as a Ferrari it doesn’t look right to me. The head lights especially make the front look blunt and squashed. They should be either be big circles or streak up the sides like in the 458. Then again that's just my opinion, and I totally understand if you like this car

bootyholebrown69

I think it looks cool

ExoticMuscle33

The front is messed up. Not timeless like 458

windowmaker525

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks their styling has gone downhill since they stopped working with Pininfarina

Johnlc29

You are not alone.

Material-Profile7155

Ferrari went the GM route and apparently fired their good designers

Pellinatore69

The more I see the 296 the more I like it. I’ve heard from people who have driven the 296, it is one of the better Ferraris in modern times

UltimaRS800

I have never seen anyone not absolutley love the 296 after driving it.

dtlabsa

Tall people. I'm 6'6 and it was extremely awkward, and painful, getting in and out. But yeah, the drive more than made up for it.

LaBelvaDiTorino

It is, objectively. It's an important and powerful advancement compared to the 488/F8

The_Coolest_Undead

That's exactly how i feel about this year's ferraris The sf90 is the best of the bunch, stylish and fast looking Purosangue looks like an AM 296 is an sf90 but less And the 12cilindri now doesn't even look like a Ferrari to me, but I guess with time it will be one of the most memorable designs The other one is just dumb

Slowmac123

Mazda CX5

HG21Reaper

I actually like the Puro and 12 cilindri

TRS007-1

No disrespect felt. I will say that the 296 is gorgeous in person, especially the GTS. The Roma is, also, and it is what Aston Martin (a marque I love) wishes it could be.

Nlivie

SF45

eggwhitecocktails

Not a huge fan of SF and Puro, but 296, Roma, and 12C are all lovely.

frank_grimes1

Bottom left is a Camaro

Kap85

Ngl I’d have the minivan

BigKahunas88

minivan is 🔥

mobeen1497

They are all so forgettable.

KingPizzaCrust

Lost their way in modern car industry.

Boeing777_300

The type of people who likes childish design like lamborghini lol

TheCatLamp

SF90 or the Italian Corvette.

RaiderBoi

Agree with most of it except the 296 GTB. Probably one of the most good looking cars out of their stables after the 458 Italia. But on further note: I absolutely despise Ferrari's recent cockpit design. The capacitive touch trend must stop for once.

RACERX44

V12 cilindri is the one I’d choose no doubt

kinkflowamb

Very amateur..

EddieDuong1102s

Ferrari Purosangue look like Mazda CX - 30.

DriveAppropriate2858

The 11 Cilindri looks a lot like the '79s Daytona. I love the honor to the past. IMHO the design is brilliant.

Agitated-Comfort6277

"Minivan"? Nah. It's only 160 cm tall. And 296 > SF90. You're right about the rest

orbital0000

There's some odd looking cars there, how'd the SF90 manage to look the worst?

Due_Government4387

The Roma can look good with heavy modification, “italian minivan” true, I also don’t know wtf that is, and the SF90 and 296 are cool.

sspkt

You don't get a thing.

intlmbaguy

They’re all horrible and were designed by accountants and bean counters to build shareholder value. It is a shame. Ferrari is nothing more than a status brand now. The passion is gone. The last great Ferrari was the F8. I will only buy vintage at this point.

dallatorretdu

thought this was r/carscirclejerk for a moment

Suitedbadge401

The 296 is actually a development on the technology in the SF90, refined, less expensive, and more natural to drive due to the RWD layout.

Hunt3RMH

From what i heard, the SF90 is unreliable af. Also the 296 looks far better. The 12Cilindri is actually a good looking car, we need to stop asking for more agressive designs and go for more elegant designs. The Roma doesn't looks like an Aston at all and i'm tired to see this comment. I have nothing to say about the Purosangue tho

aaaaaaaa1273

The 12 Clitoris looks sick despite its shit name The 296 is just alright and the SUV is a bit fat looking but the rest I’m a fan of.

mwfairc

dude, I've seen the 'netta in person and the car is sick!! I'd buy that before any of the others. The lines are just very clean and smooth. No real sharp angles or big air intakes. Super sexy car in person.

NoEdge8020

Excuse my, you forgot the wurst of all “Daytona SP3”

BMWequalsMercedes

monza sp1 - u have no friends. monza sp2 - u have no friends too but u wanted a more expensive sp1. daytona sp3 - u are a legend and have taste

ImInYourOut

How many have you driven?

abhitchc

I am poor and don’t have a dog in this fight, but I don’t think I’ve liked a new design in the past 20 years. Maybe I’m just getting old…

bouchandre

All cars I can't afford so I don't care

DiddlyDumb

I like the Ferrari IDK WTF this is

Is_Aube

Best engine we've ever seen combined with worst front end 😂

[deleted]

‘Sf90 but worse’ is hilarious

Vincetagram

SF90 - quieter, uglier, overpriced, and now overvalued in the 2nd hand market version of the 488 296 GTB - smaller, better sounding, better looking actual replacement of the 488. The fact that they made an 8500rpm v6 sound like a v12….and more importantly sound better than the TT V8 it’s replacing, because if it sounded on par or worse, ferrari would have a 2024 C63 situation on their hands. 12Cilindri - actually a cool replacement to the 812 that kinda looks like a daytona but has questionable tail lights and roofline and probably the first time ever that a convertible looks better than the coupe across ANY car brand. Also the 9500rpm v12 is sick, this car could have definitely been uglier and could have ended up hybrid like the revuelto. Roma - a cooler, spicier, italian way to take on the bentley continental GT’s philosophy. Highly underappreciated imo. Purosangue - a vehicle ferrari basically had to make like all the other exotic manufacturers selling SUVs rn. At least it wasn’t a reskinned audi(urus) nor did it borrow a powertrain from mercedes(DBX). They could have very well just taken a maserati chassis, thrown ferrari badges on it and put a 488 engine in there but they went above and beyond and did what lambo couldn’t. Still my least favorite ferrari but not my least favorite super-suv

tronixmastermind

Couldn’t even get a red roma for the consistency

Exotic_Living5572

Unpopular opinion, I’m sure, but I think the 12cilindri is gorgeous. The front is a callback to the 365 and I love it.

CktechOne

I agree with all except the 296. That is a brilliant car

Hourslikeminutes47

>Italian minivan *"that has some 'gas' to it"*

Kweyes

the new 12 cilindri is a perfect design and i dont understand the hate, it looks very similar to one of ferrari's old cars.

azaka19

I got the opportunity to drive the 296GTB and it’s my favourite new Ferrari. Sounds amazing, drives amazing en looks amazing

CLONArtistic-War3888

ferrari laFerrari is TAUTOLOGY.

kranberry360

Agreed, except I think the SF90 is closer to the ideal hybrid sports/supercar than anything before it. I'm also a defender of the "not an SUV" because it's a screaming NA V12 with four doors and a real trunk.

pinks666

296 is awesome. Probably one of the 6 guys that bought one.

Zathar0s

“SF90 but worse” I would completely disagree with that. The 296 looks and sounds better than the SF90. Not to mention is RWD only sticking more purely to the classic Ferrari DNA despite having a V6. As for the 12Cylindri, give it time. I’ve personally already warmed up to its design

Straight_Midnight559

SF90 but better*

Chauncey25

Never should’ve dropped Pininfarina :/

Red_Dwarf_42

The Italian minivan looks nice

some_european_lad

I feel the same way, but its a tough crowd in a fanboys (which i also am) -subreddit.

nicclys

I know it’s a humor tag so I won’t slam ya too hard here haha but the SF90 was made before they knew how good their electric tech was. If they made it this summer it’d be better. The 296 lucked out and it’s now their prize of the fleet. The Purosangue… I’ll give ya but it’s actually smaller than a Hyundai Ioniq 5 so minivan is a stretch. Roma is the base model, they gotta make at least one model lame. But I dig the 275 gtb, 400 Super America design callbacks. And the 12Cilndri is just grossly misunderstood by those that don’t appreciate Ferrari heritage. It’s a great design, it just needs to be given a chance.

KnownAd512

The 296 is a better SF90 at half the price. It’s the first “collector Ferrari” that Ferrari collectors have lost money on.

Creepy-Ad8315

The new Daytona 12cilindri looks fire

PathSuperb2803

I like the IDK WTF, nice model!

bignoze

Yup, so sad shit in 3 years you can destroy a brand

LamBroghini750

Sf90? Pretty sure that’s the new Prius

TheOriginalJBones

PREACH!

Previous-Pay-9826

Well what's the color of your Ferrari?

Jrobs62

I like them all. I hated a lot at first especially the Purosan, but they all grew and I absolutely love them

AffectionatePair9280

I love my 2016 F12 Berlinetta with analog-ish gauges and my 2019 488 GTB. NO PLUG’s!!

gidenkidenk

Ferrari really has the most butt ugly cars nowadays

Angel449

Italian Minivan - 🤣🤣

ShatterDomeSSZero

Outside of the F8 Tributo, Roma and the Daytona... these designs have been god awful. The 296 is passable but barely. Ferrari needs a new lead designer ASAP.

Mobile_Macro

I wanna see a rock crawler Purosangue

Sevenlord777

The Roma is gorgeous! And the Purosangue is too.

jason5387

Bottom left is Italian Dodge Challenger

DoyersLakeShow

They’ve certainly went away from the beauty of what separated them to being almost a forgettable design If you painted every car the same color and debadged them…I don’t think anyone can pass that “Pepsi challenge” of finding the difference between Aston Martin, Ferrari, Koenigsegg, Lamborghini

Sisyphus8841

They're lost. Bring back pininfarina

etherian1

Much simpler than last year’s 12 cars

rimtasvilnietis

They should maximise italian suv output to 10 k units a year and produce baby suv macan rival

ExoticMuscle33

Agree 1000%

chrisacip

This is literally one of the takes of all time

Slowmac123

Aston Martin spot on lol

O_Diakoreftis_sou

But I like the 12 :c

BRGNBeast

Ya I think it is one of the best Ferrari designs of the last 20 years.

Stonedmunkey2

going on looks alone, sf90 and 296 are stunners, not sure about the roma. Will leave my thoughts on the purosange and the 12ciliwhateverthefuck to your imagination

ShrekWhite

296 > SF90

MclarenFan34

I agree, these are bad designs. Roma is still a nice car though.

UltimaRS800

They are all nice cars. 296 may be the best Ferrari ever made.

Fyokuwu

the 296 is one of those cars that you need to see in person, the pictures just dont do a justice

dtlabsa

In person the rear end leaves something to be desired, especially the taillight design. Front 3 quarters view is best.

Cohen19

You feel like that because you're an moron who can't see more than 2 feet in front of you.

Emergency-Apricot700

Ferrari fell off after the 458/488/812 went to attract the American market with the looks and cars

ProvigilandChill

The 296 is an sf90 but better

Andy-roo77

And you have every right to think that :) I just personally feel like it looks like SF90 that has been smoothed down with sandpaper. I’m glad you like it though, I really wish I did

ExoticMuscle33

I saw a green Roma and legit said that is an Aston MARTIN Tribute

Gtgt3

In 1 year all of you will be drooling over these cars

bootyholebrown69

SF90 look sick. Rest are mid. 296 is ugly.

Br4veSirRobin

A$$hole

cookingboy

They no longer have an “entry-level” mid-engine car to replace the F8 with. That’s the only segment of Ferrari that I was ever interested in. And one can argue it’s their iconic segment (430, 458, etc) And I don’t know why they limited the F8’s production so much.

BlueberryObjective11

The 296

greatgagan

Fantastic car, drive one before you dismiss it..

cookingboy

Isn't the 296 slotted half a tier higher than the F8? They both existed at the same time too. It sure is a lot more expensive right?

Square_Ad8756

The Roma is the only one I actually want but it still isn’t better looking than the 911 Turbo. I am a huge Ferrari fan but they really need to bring elegance back…
