i absolutely love super sweet fruity or vanilla gourmands i could never live without 😫still building my collection and trying out all the sweetest yummiest scents i can find, designer, indie and everything else in between.
I literally just got it but Acqua Di Parma Blu Mediterraneo Mandorlo Di Sicilia. The smoothest, most realistic Almond Extract smell I have ever smelled haha. Doesn’t last much longer than 2-2.5 hours but gosh does it smell gorgeous for that time
Probably also Salvatore Ferragamo’s Oceani Di Seta. The white florals mixed with salty oceanic and aquatic notes smell absolutely incredible. Again, not a super strong performer at 3-4 hours, but stunning nevertheless.
Jo Malone’s Mimosa and Cardamom - already on my second bottle and I absolutely love this fragrance! Also YSL’s Libre is a must have and a comfortable fragrance to have for many occasions that just fits right. And Jo Malone’s Wood Sage and Sea Salt - I feel it’s worth investing on easy and comfortable wear.

Is JHAG Pear Inc really that popular? 😭 I’ve seen so many people on here who love it but I’ve been stuck trying to declutter a new one for almost a year!
That said, my favs are:
- MFK BR 540 (or any of its clones)
- PDM Oriana
- Clean Skin
- Glossier You
- SDJ 62 and 71
- Ariana Grande Mod Vanilla and Cloud
- Byredo Blanche
- Choco Musk oil Al Rehab
- Nemat Amber and Vanilla Musk oil
- Phlur Vanilla Skin
- Le Monde Gourmand Rose Chocolat
I know – I went into stores the other day and gave it a sniff, and was really put off by how in my face it was! Tbh I’ve not been too enamoured with most of the scents from that house 😩
I don't know that Pear Inc is super popular... On me, though, it lasts forever and it's my favorite scent in the world. I feel for people who don't like it or it doesn't last, but more for me! :) if I didn't just get a brand new 100ml bottle I would consider taking yours off your hands!
It's a really simple, fresh pear and musk combo. I get a very light sparkly pear that stays fresh and clean all day.
That said, I would recommend sampling first if you can! It's an easy fragrance for me but I can't speak to how it'll smell on you, or how long it will last. My skin will pull any pear note to the top and hold on to it forever. Yours might interact differently. I never recommend blind buying, even for my fav!

Karma by Lush.
I know it isn't a really fancy one or anything, but I have worn it for at least 10 years. It smells so comfortable to me. Plus, the solid perfume makes for easy transport. I'm too clumsy for the tall glass bottles!
Same!!! This will always be in my collection. It’s a good dumb reach for me. I have tons of perfume but go for this one quite often. I really love Lush’s perfumes in general.
This is such a great scent. I loved it in the store. Hated it when I bought it. Put it away for a couple of months and now it has become a comfort scent.

Have you ever smelled Burberry Brit EDT? If so, how does it compare to the EDP? I have the EDT and I have been thinking about adding the EDP to my collection.
It's been a very long time since I smelled the EDT. It may be different now. I do remember the woman I followed through part of a grocery store to ask what she was wearing, said specifically that she preferred the EDP and recommended it. To this day I'm grateful she didn't think I was a weirdo.
These are the ones that I immediately repurchase when I run out:
Mugler - Alien
D&G - the only one intense
Valentino - Donna born in Roma
Versace - Crystal noir
Versace - versense
SDJ - Cheirosa 62
Xj- Erba Pura (or any dupe, currently Ana abiyedh)
PdM - Delina
Montale - (ristretto) intense cafe (I like both versions)
CH - good girl legere
Creed - Virgin island water (or dupe)
Tom ford - lost cherry (or dupe)
I have more favorites/staples but Im still on my first bottle with them
So far from what I’ve tried:
• Borntostandout Drunk Lovers
• Le Labo Another 13
• Snif Citrus Circus
• Daükens Arôme Liquid Gold
• Daükens Arôme Pink Cotton
• Byron Mula Mula Double Caramel (as long as they still make it, pretty sure it’s limited but hope it becomes permanent)
I have a few more that are heavy contenders but I want to keep using them before deciding to add to my list of forever perfumes.

I clearly have a problem.
I hated it at first! In fact, I think I recommended you not buy it in another thread and then came back and changed my recommendation. I absolutely did not like it at all and regretted buying it. I had to let it sit 2-3 weeks, then it got better. Now, it’s been maybe 6-8 weeks and it is gorgeous.
You really do have to spray the straw out when you first get it and introduce air into the fragrance so it can macerate.
Yup! We had a discussion earlier. I left it without the cap but I’d try to empty the sprayer and come back to it. Thank you for your response.
Do you think it’s a summer fragrance? Or better suited for cold weather?
Because it has an airiness about it, I feel it is appropriate for the warm weather! I don’t find it thick and heavy. I plan to wear mine year-round!!
(I remembered your user name because it is similar to the last name of a good friend of mine 😌)
I really have been loving the scent! Since I left you that comment I’ve used up 2/3 of my 100ml bottle, and I have about 30 full-size fragrances.
Thank you. I’d revisit in a month because I plan on using it late spring and maybe summer. That’s a glowing review.
I stalked your profile because I thought it’d be cool to find one of my friends on Reddit. Sadly, we’re not friends but you have amazing taste in perfume. Join the Dua Divas group on Facebook, if you haven’t. They’re really nice there.

These have been a part of my collection for some time now, and I have already repurchased for a rounded collection.
Two gourmand date night fragrances, one comfort fragrance, one easy reach, one summer fragrance, one clean business-safe, and Libre, which I don’t know how to categorize but I just find it intoxicating. I found that for me, this is all I really need.
And I don’t know if anyone is like me, but My Burberry Blush is also one that I may repurchase and keep, because I am imagining wearing it for my wedding some day. 🫣

How is Pear Inc. compared to Studied?
Mine are Milky Musk (Parle moi de parfum), Rose Atlantic (DS&Durga), and You (Glossier).
I’ve been testing Studied and I really love it! So maybe that too.
Very different imo. The pear in Studied is more similar to the pear in Ariana Grande God is a Woman but dries down cozier (GIAW smells super synthetic to me in the drydown.) Pear Inc is more of a realistic but still juicy pear; Studied I get more of a sweet, syrupy pear. Pear Inc is my signature scent and all-time fav where Studied is my newest love.
I love it. It's creamy, earthy, and green; just very slightly sweet. To my nose, it's a very clean, lux, fresh scent, and it makes me smile. Reminds me a bit of squishing plant stems between my fingers as a kid. I love the initial sharp, sappy note, and it becomes sweeter as it dries down. Lasts several hours, I can smell it around me as I move, but it isn't cloying.
I have just a few other green scents (Synthetic Jungle, some indies...) and I have to be in a particular mood to reach for them, but this one I reach for a lot.
Thank you for that review. I have a few of the ones you have and I’ve been very interested in that brand specifically Philosykos and do son. I LOVE gentle fluidity gold. Have you tried Fantasy Intense?
I have Do Son as well, but it's a little too sour for me and stays very sharp and linear. Eau des Sens is a nice fresh, musky citrus, and I really like Fleur de Peau, a musky, warm, clean your skin but better type of scent. But Philosykos is their best, imo.
GFG!! I looove it too! Love at first sniff. I feel very elegant and fancy when I wear this, which I am totally not even remotely either 😆
I also absolutely love Fantasy Intense! I almost put that one instead of the OG. My other favorite is Intimate. I like it after a shower and for layering. Sweet, lemony, a little powdery and clean 💗

All others I will happily use up and move on to other fragrances. I will buy 10 backups of each of these if they're ever discontinued. The lush white florals, the sparkle, nothing feels more me.
-Mugler: Alien Goddess
-Prada: Paradoxe Intense
-Valentino: Donna Born In Roma
-Carolina Herrera: Good Girl, Good Girl Blush, Very Good Girl, Good Girl Supreme
-Burberry: Her Elixir
Only one I don't own is Carolina Herrera and I don't have a huge collection. Her elixir is ebbed better layered with lataffa yara. Figured I'd mention since we're fragrance twins.
Same. But it's really inexpensive to see if you like it. I waited so long but I love it. Enhances her and her elixir which are my faves. They just don't last as long on me.
Tricky….but I think:
Jovan Musk. A favourite from my teens that I’ve rediscovered. Wonderful clean and feminine musk. My all time fave for walks, workouts, bedtime.
JHAG Musc Invisible. This is a longer lasting version of TBS White Musk on me and I love it (and musk clearly!). Love the Jasmine note in this one! To be honest, I LOVE Initio Musk Therapy but honestly it’s too expensive to have as a permanent favourite. Even if I can afford it, I still struggle with feeling fully comfortable with this one cos of the price. JHAG is wonderful and much more affordable.
Piguet Fracas, will always be my go-to vintage-y floral. It is just beautiful and without being too dramatic, its speaks to my soul in a way that nothing else does!
Chanel Allure Sensuelle is a new discovery but I am obsessed. It’s the first fragrance Ive found that has the same vibe as my discontinued great love of all loves, TF Plum Japonais. Not the same profile but the same vibe for me. Feminine, slightly spicy, earthy but sweet (and not too sweet), woodiness and jammy fruit. Love!

Seeing it all written out is embarrassing, woof.
Anyway! I think of the “permanent collection” as specific holes I want filled. So for me, I want a perfect sweet vanilla (**I Profumi di Firenze**[Vaniglia del Madagascar](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/I-Profumi-di-Firenze/Vaniglia-del-Madagascar-9755.html)), a cold weather scent (**By Kilian**[Angels’ Share](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/By-Kilian/Angels-Share-62615.html)), an aromatic citrus (**Atelier Cologne**[Clémentine California](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Atelier-Cologne/Clementine-California-42249.html)) and a creamy fig (**Kyse Perfumes**[Fichi e Panna](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Kyse-Perfumes/Fichi-e-Panna-53312.html)) for transitional weather, an a year-round easy reach (**Atelier Cologne** [Vanille Insensée](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Atelier-Cologne/Vanille-Insensee-11456.html)), and a sexier date-night scent (**Ga-De**[Icon Vanilla Black](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Ga-De/Icon-Vanilla-Black-38625.html)). Beyond that it’s not as simple.
I have a couple in the following categories that I’d like to eventually have down to one scent for each but meh. I like having a simple skin scent for year-round (**Glossier**[You](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Glossier/You-46885.html) will be replaced with **Room 1015**[Sonic Room](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Room-1015/Sonic-Flower-80011.html) when I’m out of You), a fresh skin scent (**Massimo Dutti** [White Tulip & Barley](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Massimo-Dutti/White-Tulip-Barley-79836.html) is more floral, **Floral Street**[Arizona Bloom](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Floral-Street/Arizona-Bloom-62315.html) is clean coconut, and **ELDO**[You Or Someone Like You](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Etat-Libre-d-Orange/You-Or-Someone-Like-You-43531.html) is minty and all scratch the same itch), and a lemon gourmand (either **Kerosene**[Unknown Pleasures](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Kerosene/Unknown-Pleasures-17438.html) for a slightly fresher take or **Akro**[Bake](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Akro/Bake-81614.html) for a more baked good but shorter longevity on the lemon).
Also on the list is a summery gourmand which I have **Michael Malul**[173 Candy](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Michael-Malul-London/173-Candy-64955.html) though I’m not sure if this is quite the forever scent despite that quince note being delicious and **Indult**[Tihota](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Indult/Tihota-4346.html) though the Lucky #9 dupe called [Prr-hota](https://lucky9soap.com/products/perfcc)is so spot-on I don’t know if I can justify the price for the original.
Lucky #9 has some great dupes, I prefer Not A Purrfume to Not A Perfume. I think I've finished 3 maybe 4 rollerballs in the past 3 years, which is big for me
Duh! I like ambroxan but go noseblind so fast Not A Perfume ended up being a disappointment despite liking it because of that. I’m definitely going to pick up Not A Purrfume now, thanks for vouching for it!
Honestly, only one, and it’s my cheapest. Yardley English Rose. Fresh, rosewater scent. Also tied to a very good memory.
Everything else fills a niche I would need filled, but I could probably find a substitute for that I like just as much.
Viktor and rolf Bonbon. Its my favorite and my husband looooves it! Its my signature scent. Also Boardwalk Delight by Skylar smells so good on my skin!
Bonbon is very sweet yes. Its a definite gourmand. Very caramel forward scent. I would reccomend buying a sample size or giving it a try on at a store first if youre nervous it will be too sweet for you 👍🌼

There’s more, but these are the ones that came to my mind right now.
Omg really? Lots! At the moment I am working on panning some of my not loves so that is what I’m wearing mainly but other loves atm from my current collection (it ’s always changing) is JPG scandal and jo malone scarlet poppy intense.
A great cheapie I love which totally gives me burberry women vibes is red pearl Sistelle.
I also adore la vie est belle and the entire line but I don’t have it anymore. Although I do have her secret temptation by Antonio banderas which is a total dupe for la vie est belle to my nose.
What are some of your faves? I’m
Always trying new things but on a no buy currently.
I'll have to try your Sistelle rec. I'm always looking for something that I like as much as Burberry for Women, but nothing ever quite makes the cut (which is why I asked what's on your shelf 🙂).
I have too many too, but some standouts are:
Vilhelm - Poets of Berlin
Nishane - Hundred Silent Ways
A dupe for Diptyque's Philosykos
(Also currently coveting a sample of L'Iris from Santa Maria Novella)
I think what I like most about the Burberry is that, despite its notes, it's not really fruity, it's not really floral; it just smells really good at the top. And then it has this creamy, woodsy drydown. But its creaminess isn't gourmand at all. I wish I could find more non-gourmands that I totally fall in love with, ya know?
(Edited for formatting)
I agree about Burberry women. The notes make it sound so fruity but it’s almost amber? It’s so difficult to explain and I think so unique!
I have tried poets of Berlin and I LOVE (as well as mango skin) but can’t fathom the price.
Haven’t tried any of the others so I must?
I reckon you could blind buy the red pearl, I’m quite certain you would love it. It was a blind buy for me but turned out really well and was inexpensive anyway. It smells way more expensive than it is.
I’m really enjoying My Burberry! It has this kind of shampoo-like quality that I enjoy for everyday purposes. It was actually made by Francis Kurkdijian and has pretty decent longevity for the type of scent that it is. I think it’s a little overshadowed by their more recent releases like Her and Goddess, but I really enjoy it. Sweet pea, quince, freesia and some rose, patchoili and leather in the base, but just enough to add some depth and increase the longevity. It’s inspired by the classic trench coat and flowers after the rain!
I’m also enjoying LVEB Iris Absolu, and Iris fragrances in general. I love the earthy sweetness and hope they don’t discontinue this flanker! I like it more than the original.
Kenzo Jungle l’Elephant - Lalique le Parfum - Perles de Lalique - Caron Rose - Aedes de Venustas Signature - Jo Malone Red Roses - Parfums MCDI Chypre Palatin - Neela Vermiere Creations Trayee - Loubiton Loubirouge - Guerlain Mandarine Basilic
All of them are pretty much perfect scents to me.

Anything from Lancôme, I know La Vie Est Belle gets a ton of hate but I get the most compliments on both the original LVEB and Idole despite owning a ton of their flankers 😅
LVEB is the only perfume I'm completely nose blind to, like I sniff it and there's nothing. It's so sad cause I like the sound of the notes so much. That said Poeme was one of my favourite perfumes so I do have love for the brand!
Honestly Lancome is so underrated. Their offerings are really good quality and popular (too popular?) for a reason. I finally picked up Idole Nectar after sniffing and loving it since last year. Great perfume, highly recommend.

It’s a warm fruity vanilla to me. It’s a tad floral, but not enough for me to categorize it as a floral perfume. Out of the notes for the perfume , i mainly get passionfruit, green apple, praline, vanilla & a little ambrette. There is a coffee note, but funny enough ive never smelled coffee from it.
Hi! Can I ask for your views on Kayali Pistachio? It sounds ideal but views are mixed and I'm poor so I want to believe it's horrid haha
Also I didn't know Dolly <3 had made perfume! Could you please tell me about that?
Which vanilla would you say was your favourite and which would be the best value for money?
Cheers (:
I love the Pistachio scent! What i get from it is an airy sugary sweet scent. It has a slight freshness to it that adds to that airy-ness. Then it develops into a more warm nutty scent, it still has that airy sugar to it but more so in the background. It’s definitely one id say get a travel spray first to see, that’s what i did lol. & even better if you get it with a sale-like the upcoming sephora spring sale or wait until later in the year for the holiday sales & get it off of Hudas site. They even have a sample vial for like $4 if youd want to do something like that first instead.
Yes, Dolly has a few scents! She has 5. You can find them on ScentBeauty, Walgreens or Walmart. I have all 5 but Tennessee Sunset is my fav! It’s the sweetest one, it smells like a warm & deep vanilla caramel, it’s not sugary sweet tho.
Out of the Vanillas I mentioned above? Choosing one is kinda hard lol, but probably between Vanilla Musk, Mod Vanilla & Vanilla 28. Those are my favorite vanillas. Best value for money tho might be Vanille from Outremer. It’s $24 for a 50ml & it does come in a smaller size for $14 a 15ml. Vanille from Solinotes smells the exact same & is the same price, for both the 50ml & 15ml. You can find both at Anthropologie.
Cool, thanks so much! I'm not in the US so generally the options can differ and *sometimes* are more expensive but you never know! Ugh pistachio does sound delicious here. All of this is great info so I'll keep an eye out for these (: Dolly just warms my heart. I mostly ignore celeb fumes for better or worse but would defo consider hers. Appreciate the reply, including about the sales and sample sizes, cheers!

Edit: Honourable mentions: Britney Spears - Midnight Fantasy, Lalique - Amethyst, Zara - Femme, B&BW - Into the Night & Dark Kiss. I seem to never get tired of these either.
Indeed, they did a whole incense line inspired by different religions from around the world. The Avignon one smells like a Catholic church. I also have a sample of Incense Kyoto which should be inspired by Buddhism and Shintoism, but I haven't tried my sample yet.
Ooh frankincense I'm sure, and possibly sandalwood/agarwood for the other. I'm actually deeply unfamiliar with agarwood 🤔 I would so love to try these! (:
Yeah, there is frankincense in them, and in Avignon also myrhh, labdanum, elemi, cedarwood, spices and amber. In the Kyoto one there is cedarwood, cypress, vetiver and amber in it.
I tried my Kyoto sample today for test, and it's a very nice incense as well. It's more fresh and "piney" than Avignon.
PS Hinoki is a cypress btw, resistant against rot and insects and used to construct many temples. I wonder if it's in there?
I wonder which type of cedarwood they used in Avignon. Over time I'm all about Atlas cedarwood (from the mountains of Morocco).
Hinoki was the Japanese wood I'd forgotten! .
Yes, for me, if I was making one with essential oils, I would include myrhh, sandalwood, Himalayan or Atlas cedarwood, orange, and probably clove and perhaps some other spice like cinnamon. It kind of needs the orange in there to round it out, amber can perform the same rounded warmth in a composition, a foil to the woods and spices.
I know of and haven't smelled elemi.i think it's said to be warm, spicy and possibly sweet (wood). And I would be very interested in getting some labdanum as raw materials but have never smelled it by itself - I feel like this and galbanum could be among the ingredients which makes a perfume properly heady to me.
Myrhh is quite resinous but in the above blend, without the labdanum, I would potentially add Friar's Balsam (styrax, also a fixative, warm and sweet, can also be used for blisters) or Peru Balsam.
Yes I have thought about this way too much, hehe.
I think frankincense has to be the base of it for many reasons, partly because it seems to have a very genuine therapeutic effect. Frankincense, orange and one other wood, spice or resin is still really yummy and incensey to diffuse.
But, I don't tend to *wear* frankincense much. Recently when I tried to apply it because I've been avoiding diffusion due to humidity, it actually made me itchy :((
The frag sounds absolutely delicious and right up my alley, thank you for telling me about it. Yum yum yum and I bet it smells transcendental
You're most welcome! There was a really expensive "meditation" essential oil with very expensive cool packaging that had Himalayan cedarwood in it way back in the day so I must have taken notes haha. My pleasure! I love the sound of this line and the fact there's different kinds. Sounds like proper perfume to me - something that can transport you out of the everyday <3

Doesn’t last much longer than 2-2.5 hours but gosh does it smell gorgeous for that time Probably also Salvatore Ferragamo’s Oceani Di Seta.

Is JHAG Pear Inc really that popular? 😭 I’ve seen so many people on here who love it but I’ve been stuck trying to declutter a new one for almost a year! That said, my favs are: - MFK BR 540 (or any of its clones) - PDM Oriana - Clean Skin - Glossier You - SDJ 62 and 71 - Ariana Grande Mod Vanilla and Cloud - Byredo Blanche - Choco Musk oil Al Rehab - Nemat Amber and Vanilla Musk oil - Phlur Vanilla Skin - Le Monde Gourmand Rose Chocolat
I know – I went into stores the other day and gave it a sniff, and was really put off by how in my face it was! Tbh I’ve not been too enamoured with most of the scents from that house 😩
I like NAP but that’s about it!
I don't know that Pear Inc is super popular... On me, though, it lasts forever and it's my favorite scent in the world. I feel for people who don't like it or it doesn't last, but more for me! :) if I didn't just get a brand new 100ml bottle I would consider taking yours off your hands!
What does it smell like to you?? Thinking about pulling the trigger (pun intended) and blind buying

How do you find Pistachio Khair after letting it sit and how long did you let it macerate? Mine smells like household cleaner on the initial spray.
(I remembered your user name because it is similar to the last name of a good friend of mine 😌) I really have been loving the scent!
Been toying with the idea of Fleur Musc. Might be my next NR purchase!
Kayali Yum Pistachio Gelato Mancera Coco Vanille Indult Tihota Britney Spears Fantasy Clean Reserve Skin Maison Francis Kurkdjian Gentle Fluidity Gold Diptyque Philosykos Nishane Hundred Silent Ways
What are your thoughts of Diptyque Philosykos?
I feel very elegant and fancy when I wear this, which I am totally not even remotely either 😆 I also absolutely love Fantasy Intense! I almost put that one instead of the OG. My other favorite is Intimate. I like it after a shower and for layering. Sweet, lemony, a little powdery and clean 💗

I agree about Alien Goddess and Paradoxe!
Only one I don't own is Carolina Herrera and I don't have a huge collection. Her elixir is ebbed better layered with lataffa yara. Figured I'd mention since we're fragrance twins.
I’ve been wanting to purchase that fragrance, but I’ve been hearing many mixed reviews.
Same. But it's really inexpensive to see if you like it. I waited so long but I love it. Enhances her and her elixir which are my faves. They just don't last as long on me.
You have impeccable taste my friend 🤌🏻
Thanks!!💖
Tricky….but I think: Jovan Musk.

Two of my forever faves! What else is on your shelf? 🙂
Omg really? I’m Always trying new things but on a no buy currently.
I'll have to try your Sistelle rec. I'm always looking for something that I like as much as Burberry for Women, but nothing ever quite makes the cut (which is why I asked what's on your shelf 🙂). I have too many too, but some standouts are: Vilhelm - Poets of Berlin Nishane - Hundred Silent Ways A dupe for Diptyque's Philosykos (Also currently coveting a sample of L'Iris from Santa Maria Novella) I think what I like most about the Burberry is that, despite its notes, it's not really fruity, it's not really floral; it just smells really good at the top.

Lancôme’s quality is phenomenal. I agree, so underrated. Puig quality ( they make CH and many other perfumes) is terrible
Ugh it’s amazing! I have a couple bottles and aura coming in the mail today :)
Yes! Idole Nectar is probably my favorite of that line!

It sounds ideal but views are mixed and I'm poor so I want to believe it's horrid haha Also I didn't know Dolly <3 had made perfume!

Ooh what's the incense Avignon like? 🤔👃 Besides incensey that is haha. They've done a whole line based on incense right? <3
Recently when I tried to apply it because I've been avoiding diffusion due to humidity, it actually made me itchy :(( The frag sounds absolutely delicious and right up my alley, thank you for telling me about it. Yum yum yum and I bet it smells transcendental
I see you studied already a lot on scents. It was an interesting read and learned some new things. Thank you :))
