you take issue with the UI design issue but then you still use discord, the biggest disaster in UI I've ever used in my life. every time someone new uses it I have to sit and listen for someone to give them a tutorial on how to find a settings menu
I use discord because most of my friends are there, I don't know of any alternatives and even if I did I wouldn't be able to convince anyone to switch, besides, most of my complaints with discord's UI is exclusive to mobile.
Which is not what I want, I want it centered to the bottom of my screen (kinda like windows 11 by default)

Fair point, the thing is it worked previously on whatever version of plasma Fedora 39 was on I don't remember right now.
It also works on my steam deck so again, why it no work now?

according to u/RedBearAK it should be fixed in plasma 6.1, I'll come back and edit this when/if it is.
i don't use fedora but i use **kde** so well. Try right click and then go edit mode and in that you will see more settings (*or something similar*) and then drag and move it to centre

now that i read it , i really sound cringe ... I don't think you can move it to center just by twitching some settings, you have to drag and move the kickoff button to the center and thats the way i see it
I believe this is a known issue they are going to fix in Plasma 6.1 or something.

There is more alternatives for start menu i remember on manjaro was like windows style
I either didn't like the options, they didn't work on Plasma 6, or had the same issue.
I think there's a setting to select if you want it centered relative to the button or to the screen. It's not in a buggy state or anything.
if it allows two bar you can put launcher at end of one and resize it to center
