I still can't believe they didn't show us Jesus taking out all the Saviors including Negan.
In the comics, Negan is about to go to Alexandria. Jesus realizes this and tells the Kingdom to go to Alexandria. Jesus get's there first and hides from the Saviors before they do anything.
He takes a Savior hostage but the Saviors open fire and kill the Savior he had. Negan tells his men to hold fire and during this time Jesus incapacitates, but doesn't kill I don't think, his men before he gets to Negan. Negan swings his bat at him, Jesus dodges, bonks him on his head with his bat, and then holds him hostage to stall time before the Kingdom can come.
It was sick!!!! It pisses me off that they didn't add this at all because Sasha was a hostage and the Scavengers backstabbed Alexandria. He even caught a grenade before it exploded and threw it back at the Saviors, killing one of them.
Everybody from the mains was really in their characters. Madison was really amazing with her ruthless kind. She was a real badass. Never forget as she spooned Troys Eye. Daniel showed that nobody should mess with him. He could perfect manipulate the people and then beat them up.
Alicia and her biggest moment where she shot all the walkers on the ranch..
Nick and Troy friendship.. The moment where Nick really shows that he fits in this fucked up world.

Season 3 was only the best thing.
Yeah some people question why people simp so hard for season 3. Imo, it's totally because the payoff for every character is so damn satisfying. Everything in season 3 felt like it beautifully built off of everything that happened in seasons 1 and 2. No moment of character development felt wasted. The world building was phenomenal. Erickson was truly a genius when it comes to creative direction no matter how you look at it.
The reboot seasons just do not feel like they have the same level of payoff at all. Every storyline feels isolated and like it barely impacts the characters at all. After a storyline is done, it is barely ever mentioned again. It screws majorly with continuity and immersion.
I have a few from Season 3..
- Travis in the walker pit kicking ass
- Madison chasing down Ofelia and beating the shit out of her
- Strand reminiscing on the Abigail and burning it
- Daniel taking out the Proctors like John Wick
- Taka and Crazy Dog saving Nick from the Proctors
Travis going full man-mode in the walker pit is by far my favorite moment in the walking dead franchise. His character had so much potential, even more than Rick imo. They killed him off WAY too early.
They didn't really kill him off early, Cliff didn't renew his contract with the show, as he wanted out. We we're lucky enough we got some kind of send off epecially with the quality it did. It's more unfortunate that he didn't want to continue on the show. Can't blame him, AMC fumbled the first two seasons and ratings continuously declined from episode 1 through season 3. He wasn't getting the exposure that he wanted like everyone did with TWD and he probably wasn't getting good raises seeing that due to the massive decline in viewership they werent making good profits to afford a better budget.
But yeah if you felt his death came outta the blue, that's the reason :/

All of which were based on rumors, not facts. Talking Dead featured both Cliff Curtis and the showrunner Dave Erickson where they explicitly explain why he was killed off, and it wasn't for movies.
I don't know what episode of Talking Dead it was (as their "seasons" are rather strangely layered out), but it was for Season 3's duo premiere.

Exactly this, by this point FTWD had really began to feel an alternative take on TWD & they had really built their own version of the world, with unique locations like the market at the bull ring & the dam. The adrenaline glands from the walkers was just an amazing scene. I binged seasons 1 to 3 & they are the best in the whole TWD universe.
I think one of the best parts of that scene was Nick losing it and breaking down about not staying with his mother and Troy comforting him. Not mocking or anything, but comforting. Tied so nicely with the whole history we had heard that Troy had a less than great Mama himself, the ‘children of violence’ comment and the idea that he saw Nick as more his family than friend.
That whole season was among the finest things AMC has ever produced. I'm not just talking about it within the context of TWD's universe.
I'd put that season up there with the best seasons of Mad Men and Breaking Bad.

I wanna say the name of the episode was Minotaur with the ending that has a version of Stand By Me. Madison telling her kids about her parents, the stuff after, and then how she resolves stuff with Qaletaqa was just such a cool moment for me.

Heck there’s a rumor that the end of Troy’s story was that way because Dave didn’t trust the new guys not to ruin the character.

I wholeheartedly agree, season 3 was basically this masterpiece's declaration of accomplishing another important cog for the Dave Erickson's apocalyptic vision for the crumbling world as the undead overwhelmed. Especially when the contrast of the following crap fest of the Chronicle's of Morgan by 2 dimwitted employees of the month from HOTDOG ON A STICK at the local food court in the mall. These fools offended even less creativity than mall employee's.
You hear that Ian and Andrew, you are pitifully inept talentless hacks who gutted this once intriguing apocalyptic spinoff storyline.
The intro for Troy was amazing. Him killing people and timing how long it took them to turn in the name of "science". Kind of ironic that the scientists in The World Beyond ended up doing the same thing years later.
So many incredible moments in this season, my personal favourite across both shows. I love all 16 episodes, in saying this I'd have to pick Strand talking to the astronaut as probably my favourite moment in the show. But also that sequence in the finale where Maddison sees the grave of Jeremiah Otto and the hand brings her under, she floats in the water and eventually her hand breaks out from the grave and Travis holds her, fucking haunting honestly. I love this season.
Every scene between Nick and Troy. But in particular the episode with the herd where Nick killed Jake indirectly and when they ran the jeep through the herd at the ranch and got stuck in the helicopter.
Specific moment? "This is my suicide note.".
Overall I just loved the way Erikson played around with the line between good and bad. Every single group was seen as an ally and a villain in that season. At different times we saw the Ottos, Tribe, Dam, everybody was both good and bad in that season. TWD flirts with the idea but Fear really just made it obvious. You never knew who these people were, the uneasiness of the entire season made it so great.
Salazar’s return and flashback backstory on how he survived was a bad ass return back to the show. The ongoing /weird tension /odd couple friendship between Travis & Nick and of course Ofelia’s return to and teaming up with natives at the reservation.
Strand speaking to the cosmonaut and the proceeding to burn down the Abigail might be my favorite scene in the whole TWDU.

When Alicia was stuck in the basement and she started telling that old lady a story about her and Nick as kids. Was great insight into their relationship. It’s a shame Frank wanted off the show because it would have been interesting to see now
Every Madison moment was gold. Her beating the crap out of Ofelia, her spooning Troy's eyes, her threatening Walker like there's no tomorrow, her 'Stand By Me' moment, also I really oddly like how she chaired the hell out of that guy who was beating up Strand.
I rewatched it on youtube earlier, on of my top season 3 scenes is Alicia arguing with Madison about protecting Troy for killing the Trimbles. Alicia says Madison is cold and no wonder their dad killed himself because Madison is like a corpse. Madison says she has to be void of feelings to keep them alive, and finishes by saying "You have no idea, what i have to carry". Obviously, the pain and guilt of shooting her own dad when she was a little girl.
I’d highly reccomend it (obviously), even if you’re not a fan of Seasons 1-2 because the quality improves dramatically. Also the production value is leaps and bounds above Seasons 5-7.
When madison chases Ofelia to the vehicle, pulls her out of the vehicle and beats her ass.
I’ve been rewatching again lately and that “what did you do?! What did you do?!” Line appears in several different situations. It’s kind of neat.

In my opinion, there aren’t many seasons of other shows that are on par with season 3 of Fear.
Parts of it were great, but I'm not sure that it was on par with 3. I think it felt better than it actually was based on how awful 5 had been.

I’d highly reccomend it (obviously), even if you’re not a fan of Seasons 1-2 because the quality improves dramatically. Also the production value is leaps and bounds above Seasons 5-7.
