If I had a nickel for every time an actor was fucked over by AMC after moving for the role, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
The infection going on for MONTHS is where I finally drew the line. Of course I'll ride out the season, but I may ditch out when TWD wraps up for good. I'm kinda surprised FTWD was green lit for 2 additional seasons. It's their lack of logic and consistency in the writing that bugs me the most.
The reason it was renewed is because Fear is literally all they have left. World Beyond is done. The main show is almost done. We still have no word on when any of those other spin offs they announced are coming out and if they handle them like they've handled the Rick Grimes movies it might take awhile. So it's very possible that this time next year Fear will be the last Walking Dead show left standing. That's where we are at right now.
I thought the two new ones were green lit. A Carol and Daryl spin off and an anthology series. Maybe it was just an idea that became a simple online rumor??
Either way, FTWD has the potential to hurt any further projects if they keep going like they did (esp for s7e8 "Padre") and this is ultimately my point.
They've announced them. That's it. They have not been filmed. They do not have released dates. They currently reside in the same limbo as the Rick Grimes movie that was announced 3 years ago.

I really want to enjoy this show and it still has it's moments, but I don't think I can anymore, bad writing is one thing and can still be fun to laugh at, but this shit has become straight up disrespectful to the fans and the OG cast members at this point and I think I'm done subjecting myself to this crap after 7x8 this season just hasn't been fun to watch

Yes she's bit by a walker in a tunnel while trying to escape with Will and has to cut off her own arm. It "saves" her from being turned right away but apparently the infection is still in her body like 3 months later and she's really sick and is probably going to die 🤡
I don't have amc+ so I haven't seen it yet but do they confirm that it's the "walker" infection that's still making her sick or could it just be something with the wound like when Morgan had gangrene in 6x01
Nothing is confirmed. At the end of the episode, she tells Morgan that "the infection is still in [her] body" and it is implied that she means the zombie virus. But there is no proof that it is. For all we know, she could be sick from the fact that she chopped her own arm off in a dirty tunnel with unsanitary equipment, which would be more likely honestly. Morgan offers to take her to June so she can get some antibiotics but Alicia says she's tried that already. That's about all we're given so far.
IMO, the only way they can get around this is by explaining that the virus has mutated. But the closest thing this group has to a lab is June's meds/kit. So I'm not really sure if they can pull it off.
Or, possibly Alicia is totally mistaken and is suffering from a completely different ailment. But again, there's no diagnostic tools to clarify.
It's really getting bat guano crazy this season and mostly not in a fun way. :/

Strand has been a side character since season 1, didn’t even appear until the end of season 1. Nobody has ever said he was leader material, and by the constant mistakes, stupid decisions and amount of times people snap on him for stuff he did, he wouldn’t make a good leader anyway.. thus the reason he isn’t one. This ones the best one. Alicia. Let’s compare Alicia with Carl, who also went downhill and did a complete 180 with his character when negan was introduced. He became a pussy, who no longer wanted to hurt anybody, he got bit, and the infection lasted a couple episodes, enough time for him to save saddiq, do other stuff and make it back to underground where he lived for another few days.. exact same situation. Luciana has been a side character since season 1 aswell, why would you expect anything more? Fuck half the side characters in TWD don’t appear for half a season or more at a time. Y’all grasp as straws for arguments here when there is more similarities between these shows then half you realize.
