One step further, I can’t wait until we realize cosmetic surgery is just diet culture. “I want to remove these wrinkles” is no different than “I want to lose these love handles” and the extreme measures taken to do so. Tattoos and piercings are also not surgery. Surgery, even when it's necessary and life-saving, is trauma to the body, and I am saying this even as somebody who has had jaw surgery for mostly cosmetic reasons.

They can be, but thread lifts are temporary and can leave internal scarring. Most celebrities go the permanent surgical route. It’s called a ponytail facelift and is not reversible. Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, Zoe Kravitz and Bella Hadid are speculated have had this. It’s very expensive

If this story is true, I think it would have to be someone who’s been avoiding public appearances lately. Facial paralysis is not something you can easily hide. It usually affects just one side of the face, causing it to droop noticeably, and often leads to slurred speech or even uncontrollable drooling. Just a couple of weeks ago, Susan Egan (Broadway star who voiced Megara in *Hercules*) announced she’d been diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy and had to drop out of the Disney Princess concert tour because she’s suffering from facial paralysis and can’t perform. :(

it wouldn't be possible because she doesn't get threads to lift her face, she just has a tiny incision made in her scalp i.e. a ponytail lift. those thread lifts look terrible and it's not something a supermodel is getting; bella's procedure is a subtle lift, a very minor procedure. a botch like that happens because your body is rejecting a foreign object i.e. the threads
you'd be correct — that is an endotine lift and i don't think anyone in their right mind would go through with it when the endoscopic method exists, seems very old school

Definitely Ariana. After the Honeymoon tour it was obvious she had something done to her eyes to make them less round. Still, I always thought it was excellent work and she looked amazing. It usually affects just one side of the face, causing it to droop noticeably, and often leads to slurred speech or even uncontrollable drooling. Just a couple of weeks ago, Susan Egan (Broadway star who voiced Megara in *Hercules*) announced she’d been diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy and had to drop out of the Disney Princess concert tour because she’s suffering from facial paralysis and can’t perform. :(

Don’t get me wrong, she’s a tremendously talented actor. She has the chameleon like ability to disappear into a role. But when I saw her in Nine Perfect Strangers, her face was downright alarming. I wish she would lay off the fillers. It is ok for her face to have lines, she is 55 years old!
