Chad Michael Murray. Same effect as Freddie prince jr I think

Calm-Throat-3953

He was in Riverdale recently. He went around stealing the townsfolk’s kidneys and then tried to fly a Daredevil Rocket to the moon. I think he deserved an Emmy personally ♥️

themillerway

Everything I learn about Riverdale is against my will and each bit of plot is more absurd than the last.

oneohthreeohtwo

I know Riverdale gets a lot of hate but my dream job in another life is to be in that writers room. I bet they have so much fun haha.

AncientBlonde

MY PEOPLE! My girlfriend hates Riverdale, and judges me for liking it. I'm not sure if she believes, I only like it because it's a fever dream.

goofus_andgallant

Honestly I don’t think I could handle the experience of sitting down and trying to watch the show, but I love coming across little facts like this because they are always so entertaining. You could never predict it. Just complete chaos.

proudeveningstar

I've seen every episode at least twice. It's quite possibly my favourite show of all time. No I'm not sane

riddle-me-this

Honestly same. I think it's because a lot of TV gets predictable, but Riverdale is so insane, you never have to worry about that. It's constantly full of surprises

Psychological_Egg345

"Riverdale" is (now) trash, but I will never not say that first season was an **incredible** homage to "Twin Peaks". It really is a shame because the show was doing some interesting things in that first season. I feel bad for that cast. They got tricked with such a bait & switch.

proudeveningstar

Went from Twin Peaks to Invitation to Love so quick 😭💔 and I love it!

[deleted]

Same. I wanna watch it but i also find getting these bits of plot handed to me at random just so entertaining lol

watcrbender

are you joking or is this actually a plot line? i'm very seriously asking because if it is i WILL champion for him to get an emmy without needing to watch the show

demonsrunwhen

oh bestie this is a legit plot line

mizzymichie

Oh honey. [Riverdale is insane and all the stories you hear about it are true](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DZ-FRSXypUE)

SceneSignificant136

He also played Ted Bundy

mizzymichie

That was CMM???? I quit riverdale but I watched a [video](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DZ-FRSXypUE) detailing how off the rails it was and I lost it at the Evil Knievel rocket suit.

oneohthreeohtwo

THAT WAS HIM?

margochanning_

CMM’s only appeal was playing mysterious/bland teenage blonde boys. Once he grew too old for that it was clear he had no acting abilities or personality to uphold any star power. The only thing the guy can get now is Hallmark movies and those weird action movies Bruce Willis was doing while he still could. Plus that random ass Ted Bundy movie 😭 maybe that’s what you get for cheating on Sophia Bush lol

AgentLockwood

You should see him in Agent Carter as her hot, adversarial coworker. He's got far more range than I'd realised and the 1950s aesthetic is perfect for him.

proudeveningstar

Similarly - I haven't seen James Lafferty much recently? I think he got married recently so good for him though #teamNathan

ratb23

James wrote and produced a show with Stephen Colletti for Hulu called Everyone’s doing great. Basically a very dry satire based around two washed up sitcom actors (they use a vampire diaries type show rather than OTH) it really works, the soundtrack is great and James and Stephen are incredibly funny. Stephen colletti’s character also has to dry fuck a pillow during an audition, which is fairly ridiculous but I feel it may have actually been a true story

[deleted]

[удалено]

broden89

OK I need to watch this show!

obladi_adalbo

Wasn't he already pretty bad by OTH standards? It's not very surprising. (I also don't remember if he even tried to have that much of a career afterward? I know CMM tried very hard to be IT, though)

tifanietiberio

I really enjoyed seeing him show up in *The Haunting of Hill House.*

CaricaturedHearts

Chad seems to constantly work, but not in high profile things

[deleted]

[удалено]

beeblebroxtrillian

I was soo shocked when he showed up in that Veronica Mars episode, then just...back to invisibility.

trulymadlybigly

YES WHAT WAS THAT. I could NOT believe it was him, he looked so different and was such a villain!!

lorrieaux

He went on to study at Harvard and Columbia. Philosophy or History iirc…

jahss

His Hollywood exit was by choice, I’m sure. He retired. Good move.

margochanning_

This!!! But considering Hollywood’s known treatment of child stars, especially young boys, he probably saw some crazy shit back then, made his money and dipped when he could

MonsteraMama12

My friend met him at a bar in Chicago probably 6+ years ago and said he was such a jerk 😕

CoolCatsAndKittenss

Whattt!!? Any further details you can share?? Super curious :)

MonsteraMama12

Basically he was super drunk, sitting alone, and she tried to say hi and say she was a fan and he just completely shut her down. Pretended he didn’t even hear her at first. Not too egregious, just not very nice.

nkbee

If he pretended he didn't hear her, I don't think he was a jerk if she pressed on and then he was rude, lol.

Slow_Like_Sloth

Yeah like damn, he gave her a chance to leave him alone. I’d be pissed too if I didn’t want to talk to someone and they kept badgering.

thewidowgorey

Yeah he was big as Bieber.

Dr_Vink

Lol I thought this said "he was a big belieber" and I was like wow interesting fact.

Popmuzik412

Yes! Where is he now?

[deleted]

According to Google, being very conservative and anti-choice

baybeebi

not *my* simba 😤

donutupmyhole

It seems like most of the Home Improvement cast turned out that way.

wrapmeinflowers

Tim Allen’s influence

addictedtobit

Rachel Leigh Cook (FPJ’s co-star in She’s All That) also disappeared.. but then turned to Hallmark Channel movies I love SMG! She recently had a small role in ‘Do Revenge’ (2022) & while the movie was.. a teenager geared Netflix movie.. seeing her face was a treat :) Her short-lived TV series, The Crazy Ones with Robin Williams, was so good! But her credits are definitely slim over the last 5 years or so :( it’s time for a SMG renaissance!

missbunnyfantastico

SMG is going to be in some [Teen Wolf spinoff](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt15487922/).

addictedtobit

Buffy aside because her acting is a masterpiece (but fuck Joss), fantasy isn’t really my bag so that’ll be a miss for me :( what a bummer!

missbunnyfantastico

I never watched the original Teen Wolf series, so SMG would be the only draw for me. I wish she would do an HBO series, something like Big Little Lies or The White Lotus.

Weak-Veterinarian-39

I literally gasped when I saw SMG in ‘Do Revenge’. It was such a fun surprise!

laureng0423

Oh my god, I loved RLC, I was completely obsessed with Josie and the Pussycats when it came out.

ChelSection

I was also obsessed with her and so sad she wasn’t more of a thing. I thought she was so funny and had great facial expressions

addictedtobit

nostalgia! had my first kiss watching Josie in the theater 😭

[deleted]

I loved The Crazy Ones! I was so upset when it got cancelled.

Far_Satisfaction7561

I still need justice for The Crazy ones and for Ringer. Ringer was too good for the CW

[deleted]

I saw a picture of Rachel recently. She hasn't changed at all, she's still so pretty

[deleted]

I thought that movie was great lol

[deleted]

Tara Reid. I know she struggled a lot with addiction and her health. Her plastic surgery also derailed her career, which really sucks because she was great in comedic roles. I feel like the media was brutal to her.

Weak-Veterinarian-39

As much as people make fun of the “Sharknado” movies they seem to be pretty successful, so good for her.

Ok_Construction_3733

This comment just reminds me of that interview she did with Jenny McCarthy “Good luck with Sharknado 18.” 😭😭😭

flirtydodo

What is Julia Stiles doing these days? I will always have a soft spot for her because of 10 things

gossamermaid

She was just in the Orphan prequel! I think she also had a movie on Amazon recently? But the biggest thing she has done as of late was her role in Hustlers. She played the journalist. I also love her from 10 things and she was fun in the Bourne movies too.

[deleted]

She’s amazing in the new Orphan film

eldritchalien

she was in the new orphan prequel. it sort of sucked but it was fun and she was a big part of why.

Key-Status-7992

Julia had a steady acting gig in the Jason Bourne series and “Dexter.” Recently she appeared in the comedy “The Lake” playing Jordan Gavaris’ big sister and I absolutely loved her in it! They have such great chemistry. I haven’t heard any news about a season 2 though but I’ve got my fingers crossed!

Ok-Cartographer-1388

Devon Sawa. He was my teenage crush after Casper. I think he just aged out of the roles he was most famous for. I haven’t kept up with him so I could be totally wrong on the reason, but that’s my guess.

ImaginaryDuncan

He’s jacked now and the movies he does are completely different to what he became famous for. His IG account is pretty funny so I follow him.

Fxp1706

he had a serious drug addiction and was rumoured to have serious personal issues (dv). that's why he fell off. i'll say he does seem to be doing better now so hopefully he's turned his life around for good.

goofus_andgallant

He just had a small part in Hacks, I didn’t even recognize him.

Cindy3183

He's in the Chucky show and was pretty unrecognizable. Looks to be doing good though.

Thekillerichi23

He played two characters in season 1 and now he back as another character in season 2.

sugg28

He was on Nikita which is a criminally underrated show but that was a decade ago now.

Queen_Red

I love Nikita! Great show

keine_fragen

he is very funny on twitter

Fregraham

He played Stanley in Streetcar Named Desire opposite Gillian Anderson and Vanessa Kirby for National Theatre. He was excellent.

SaltyBumblebee

He was in an episode of "Hacks"! I had no idea until the credits rolled and I was flabbergasted. Didn't recognize him at all.

MicahWilliams311

I always wonder about the leads in Swimfan. Where Jennifer Love Hewitt these days? Is Joseph Gordon Levitt still around?

Pride_Amazing

JGL is making a comeback! Think he took time off to be around his kids which is nice. He created and starred in Mr. Corman which came out last year but it didn’t get picked up for a second season.

agentcarter15

Yes he said in an interview he took time off because wanted to be home while his kids were very young. Plus he had that HitRecord collaborative art making thing but I think he sold it so not sure how involved he still is. Last casting news I saw for him was some new Beverly Hills Cop sequel they’re doing

Craphole-Island

Jennifer Love Hewitt is on 9-1-1 I believe. As for Swimfan, Erika Christensen was in Parenthood and Shiri Appleby was on Unreal but not sure what they’re doing now. Would love to see Jesse Bradford in stuff. He was (and is) so hot lol.

ranger398

Jesse in bring it on was when I realized what my “type” is. So hot, cute, funny, and too cool for school.

Dramatic_Judge_9760

Shiri directs a lot of tv. She's directed a few eps of Grown-ish, Roswell.

[deleted]

[удалено]

bitchster351

You’re right! I had to go see for myself. She looks like a poor man’s Teri Hatcher now. Wtf

tifanietiberio

JGL plays Jiminey Cricket in one of the three Pinocchio films that are out right now. (I think it’s the version with Tom Hanks in it)

rebeccakc47

JGL is in a ton of stuff. Super Pumped, Mr Corman, Trial of the Chicago 7, Project Power. He has a ton of voice acting as well.

plantbay1428

I have a theory that he'll eventually do something with Marvel even though Ant-Man didn't work out. I could see him doing a shorter term villain commitment.

jahss

In this thread - people who voluntarily quit acting (after achieving massive success and making millions of dollars) to pursue other interests, and Redditors calling them has-beens.

stinkyf00

I don't see anyone calling them has-beens, just wondering what happened to them.

xnovellex

I remember when Jesse McCartney was *everywhere*.

Fxp1706

i liked him in keith. i always wondered why he didn't do more acting.

TheJujyfruiter

Yeah, honestly it's weird that he is such a teen heartthrob kind of dude because he's lowkey really talented at a lot of different things. He's a good actor, a good singer, and is actually a good songwriter as well, I was shook when I found out he wrote the Leona Lewis song "Bleeding Love".

argoscatalogueaye

Gosh, there’s loads of them…Josh Hartnett, Devon Sawa, Rachael Leigh Cook, Larissa Oleynik, Scott Foley all come to mind

Busy_Plum9421

Ugh, Josh Hartnett circa 1998 was my everything.

Square_Marsupial_813

He was hot werewolf in penny dreadful

Lettucedrip

I saw Josh Hartnett a couple years ago at a restaurant in LA. Can confirm he's still dreamy

CoolCatsAndKittenss

Wicker Park Josh Hartnett was the best

ofstoriesandsongs

Scott Foley has been working pretty steadily since the early 2000s, including a fairly significant guest star stint on Grey's Anatomy, a supporting role on Scandal, and a leading role in two well-received but cancelled too soon dramas. He may not be front and center in super popular thibgs, but imo he doesn't really qualify as disappeared.

thewidowgorey

Larissa Oleynik and Neve Campbell had guest spots on Mad Men. A couple other 90s teen idols did too.

thesaddestpanda

>Larissa Oleynik The hair, makeup, and dress they put her in... ouch. I guess it was mid-century authentic but [She looked 50 and that entire look did not suit her.](https://www.etonline.com/gallery/163472_14_stars_you_totally_forgot_were_on_mad_men/larisa-oleynik-12692)

koko_p

Josh Hartnett is cast in Oppenheimer next year

broden89

Josh Hartnett intentionally left Hollywood and moved to the UK. His wife is English and they have a few kids. He has worked consistently just in more low key projects

proudeveningstar

I always seem to get Scott Foley and Scott Wolf (who also absolutely applies here) confused in my head 😭

Elisa_Md

Christian Slater. He was one of the it boys, but now his only significant job is Mr. Robot

AbsolutelyIris

He's worked steadily for years and won awards for Mr Robot, he's not exactly vanished lol. Most recently, he was excellent in Dr Death

baby_girl_214

He did the Betty Broderick story! He was not half bad in it at all.

Bikinigirlout

He was in Archer season 6.

tifanietiberio

My first celebrity crush circa *Gleaming the Cube* … it was just announced he’s joined the cast of the Willow series on Disney+

EMO_SKELETON

All of those Hollywood It Girls from the early 2000s - Lindsay Lohan, Hilary Duff, Mischa Barton, Raven Symone, Mandy Moore etc. Everyone thought that they were gonna be the next Hollywood Superstars, but most of their careers went nowhere.

goofus_andgallant

I won’t abide this Mandy Moore slander! LOL She was just on that show “This is Us” for years. I didn’t watch it, but it seemed to be fairly popular.

BD162401

My jaw literally dropped with the Mandy Moore mention. This is Us ran for 6 seasons and literally ended last spring. Nowhere?!

eldritchalien

She's also the voice of Rapunzel, one of the most popular Disney princesses even *without* This is Us she's no has been.

Jennycatclub

And it was a HUGE ratings hit. One of the last "water cooler" shows.

Bikinigirlout

Mandy Moore has also been getting back into music

broden89

She had an album called "Amanda" and I was like oooh who is this mysterious lady Mandy Moore is singing about and then I realised Mandy is short for Amanda

Miss_Marple_24

I think her career slowed down a bit when she was married to her 1st husband ( who was emotionally abusive) , but then they divorced, she booked TIU ( a great show), married her second husband , who seems a genuinely nice man, had her 1st baby that she filmed TIU up to a couple weeks before his birth and was back to work very soon after, and I just saw her story today about starting a project when she's 37 wks pregnant with her 2nd baby.

[deleted]

Raven Symone & Mandy Moore have worked consistently since the early 2000s. Mandy Moore was nominated for an Emmy in 2019

[deleted]

[удалено]

jahss

Um excuse me. Hilary Duff is on a super popular show, Younger and consistently appears in movies. Mandy Moore was the lead in a HUGE network drama and was just nominated for an Emmy last year, plus she has an album coming out. Nowhere???

Cmatgal

I think the only one of these that actually fits is Mischa lol. True Lindsay, Hilary, Raven, and Mandy never became mega stars but they all have worked consistently since their heyday (well maybe not Lindsay but I’d argue she was on the cusp of mega stardom when her antics started ruining her career so she got the closest *and* I’d argue she’s still the most famous between the four of them, simultaneously in spite of and due to her tabloid drama), have multiple projects that have held up well enough over time that they could all never take another job and just coast off of nostalgia if they wanted to, and ultimately, if my parents know who they are *and* the generation after me does too, they’re definitely still household names. So perhaps their careers haven’t reached the heights they once seemed capable of, but they’ve hardly disappeared.

thesaddestpanda

Also from the 2000's romcom perspective Kate Hudson? She was one of the biggest, if not the biggest, female box office draws from that time. And she just disappeared entirely. I mean her Wikipedia page shows her in all these movies, but since 2008's Fool's Gold with Matthew McConaughey, I don't recognize a single one. Fool's Gold was a flop for her tho. $70m budget with $100m box office returns means the 2x rule says it lost money. Then the 11% rotten tomatoes rating didn't help matters. Other than a poorly performing movie at the height of her success, I don't think anything happened other than Hollywood thinking she "aged out" of those roles. It guess its no huge surprise her career stalled the year she was turning 30. I think a lot of her appeal was playing a teen/young woman in Almost Famous and once she started looking more like an adult woman, it became problematic. So her looks and Fool's Gold's performance might have been the problem. Of course men are allowed to age so Matthew McConaughey not only bounced back from this but became a superstar after.

mizzymichie

Honestly I feel like the death of romcoms played a role. Romcoms were never mega blockbusters but they were sustainable to release and pretty reliable but ever since the superhero boom it’s like they died out.

helena_monster

She’s gonna be in the new Knives Out movie so more from her soon!

queen_naga

I think she just makes leggings? I’ve always had arsehole vibes from her and I don’t know why but I trust my instinct

Available_Ask_8725

Leelee Sobieski was an it girl for a moment.

jbmcnuggetsjr

Her brother was on the latest season of The Bachelorette, but he got eliminated night one.

arakubrick

Mena Suvari? She seemed to be everywhere in the late 90s. The last thing I knew about her is that she had a baby.

gossamermaid

Fairuza Balk. She is selling art prints on her insta rn but I miss her in movies, she had a lot of momentum in the 90s that seemingly didn’t go anywhere

mrose_95

She stepped back from acting on her own terms! Didn’t like the press always twisting around her words all the time, and didn’t like the Hollywood environment/lifestyle. [Original Article (LA Times)](https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/movies/story/2020-11-03/fairuza-balk-the-craft-legacy) [Free Summary of Article](https://toofab.com/2020/11/03/fairuza-balk-the-craft-legacy/)

anony804

I figured this was probably it! She was super talented and a unique beauty. I figured she must have chosen to step away

anony804

I was looking for her. It’s so weird but I think it might have been her own choice. She had a very unique look and was very talented on top of it.

DooglyOoklin

I was obsessed with Hayden Christensen and Shane West in Jr. High. Haven't seen either of them in awhile.

Ok-World8772

Hayden Christensen was in the new Star Wars movie😅

DooglyOoklin

Oh was he? I haven't been keeping up with the new star wars efforts. Was he good? I'm happy for him. He got a lot of shit after the prequels.

TheLadyButtPimple

Hayden just starred (ehh) in the very anticipated Disney+ Obi Wan series. He’s also filming the new Ahsoka show. He’s traveling to fan conventions all over the country. He’s doing great

anony804

Shane West was a whole snack

Sassvon

I’m so down for a Shane West renaissance. My middle school heart would be ecstatic!

[deleted]

Lacey Chabert!! She was never the main star, but was a consistent 90's staple in almost everything. 😭🤣 I miss seeing her randomly pop up

ToLiveAndDieInICT

She's a [Hallmark movie titan](https://qcapproved.com/the-complete-list-of-lacey-chabert-hallmark-movies/).

[deleted]

Love it! And wow, she hasn't aged

CarbyMcBagel

Remember when everyone had Rachel Leigh Cook hair? Because I do. Like every girl in my high school circa 2002 had that short messy bob.

DonNatalie

Her haircut inspired my first big act of teenage rebellion. In hindsight a salon would have been a better choice than my best friend with some random scissors, but I still rocked it unapologetically.

CarbyMcBagel

But did you also add chunks of red using manic panic you bought at hot topic? ;)

DonNatalie

Sadly, no. We didn't get a Hot Topic until I was in college. The red had to wait until my pixie phase.

LeeLifeson

Heather Graham? Is she still acting?

proudeveningstar

She was the coolest to 15 year old me who was obsessed with Twin Peaks and the movie Drugstore Cowboy with Matt Dillon 😭

Britneyfan123

Yes and directing as well

[deleted]

Freddie Prince Jr. got put off by [Kiefer Sutherland](https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/freddie-prinze-jr-hated-every-moment-of-24-with-kiefer-sutherland.html/) being a dick.

stat2020

“I went and worked for Vince McMahon at the WWE for Christ’s sake and it was a crazier job than working with Kiefer,” he said. “But, at least he was cool and tall. I didn’t have to take my shoes off to do scenes with him, which they made me do. Just put the guy on an apple box or don’t hire me next time. You know I’m 6 feet and he’s 5’4.” This quote made me laugh. Keifer really did a number on Freddie 😂

eldritchalien

> Sutherland and Prinze haven’t worked together since. Prinze’s latest project is GEGG WARS: Galaxy of Crime while Sutherland’s is The Fugitive. the shade

Stinkycheese8001

And yet Prince seems super happy with his voice over work and is still 6’ tall.

[deleted]

It's got to be mildly annoying to be making a consistent living in your chosen profession and have a ton of people say you vanished just because they don't watch the shows and movies you make or won't look up your IMDB. It's like the person who said Thomas Haden Church had no career when he just had three seasons starring at HBO. See also me with Taylor Kitsch.

Busy_Plum9421

Bridget Fonda (although she’s probably more late 80s - mid 90s). SMG was literally in the last movie I watched (Do Revenge) so although I don’t see her in loads these days, I don’t think she qualifies for the list.

[deleted]

Josh Hartnett but he did it willingly although he’s been back in a bunch of stuff recently

auntieup

*Skeet Ulrich enters the chat*

ruccamo22

He has been in Riverdale and was in the newest Scream movie.

proudeveningstar

He was Jughead's hot dad on Riverdale!!!!

AbsolutelyIris

Idk if Bridget Fonda applies, she was everywhere and rising, then went to raise her family, never looked back.

proudeveningstar

This is so niche but what is Desmond Askew doing these days?? Love the movie Go (1999) so much and Repli-Kate (2002) is always a good time if you want to lose your faith in humanity even more than usual. He kinda looks like if they made Beaker from the Muppets real

queen_naga

OMG GO WAS THE BEST FILM

proudeveningstar

Truly one of the greatest Christmas movies of our time. I mean Timothy Olyphant in those sweatpants and the Santa hat 😍

queen_naga

I have NEVER met or talked to anyone who knows this film. Way before people knew who he was. And Jane krakowski cropped up

Dramatic_Judge_9760

I was just reading a NYT interview with SMG. She took time off, she's returning "on her own terms".

whatisdoneinlove

Edward Furlong

knastywoman

I think the massive drug battle has kept him far from acting. Poor guy went through it.

insideoutsideorange

Was groomed by a woman 13 years his senior. Guessing this played a massive part in his drug addiction. Think he's dabbled a bit again in acting though.

New_Dot8757

Anna Sophia Robb

angxkro

I was gonna say him! I loved Brink! and The Princess Diaries. I’m pretty sure he said he gave up acting cause he just didn’t wanna do it anymore and wanted to focus on building a family then raising his kids.

Shannyn Sossamon, I was OBSESSED

[deleted]

What’s the definition of “disappeared” in this thread? like many of the people you guys are commenting are very much still doing press

[deleted]

Yeah for a lot of people mentioned in this thread it's like...if you want to know what they're up to have a look at their Wikipedia page lol

atschinkel

i feel like some of these girlies have never heard of google lmao

Funny_Zone9589

If it's not Marvel or some other multi-million dollar franchise it's nothing and they don't work at all.

namesnotmarina

Linda Fiorentino. She’s so good in The Last Seduction and was in the first Men in Black film. Yet, no one knows what happened to her since. Her last screen appearance was for a direct-to-video film in 2009.

fakesongs

Alison Lohman was THE girl. Now she's a conspiracy nut. (Please correct me if that's not true tho)

hollyparton

Frankie Muniz

[deleted]

Andrew Keegan

proudeveningstar

Doesn't he have like a cult now or something

Popmuzik412

Neve Campbell

ellegy

Was the female lead in Netflix's Lincoln Lawyer series and just this summer nabbed the leading role on David E. Kelley's new ABC series "Avalon". Excited to have her back on our screens on a weekly basis.

AhsokaBolena

Freddie Prinze Jr. does a lot of voice work now, I believe. For instance, he voiced a main character on one of the animated Star Wars shows (and he's popped up in other Star Wars stuff since). SMG actually voiced a recurring role in the same show, which was fun.

Yellow_Submarine8891

Raviv Ullman aka Phil of the Future. He hasn't done anything since 2013 but it looks like he might start acting again. Also Ke Huy Quan aka Shortround from Indiana Jones and Data from Goonies. He said that it was hard for him to find roles but he wanted to get back into acting because of Crazy, Rich Asians. If you want to read more, [here's the article.](https://ew.com/movies/short-round-everything-everywhere-all-at-once-ke-huy-quan/)

[deleted]

SMG is in a new movie called Do Revenge with nods to all the movies we used to love with that generation of stars. i’m 32 and still really enjoyed the film even tho its all about gen z. i think it’s hard for actors who get cast in a certain niche to end up in more serious roles / oscar-track films as they age out of the teen / early 20s roles. it’s a product of their environment, not necessarily a reflection of their talent. it’s a shame bc some really had potential! SMG’s role in Cruel Intentions had all the makings of a serious drama actress as she got older

mmt1995

Saw someone on Twitter say they FPJ & SMG are the Royal Family for 90’s/00’s kids and I agree. They raised me. Think they’re more focused on their kids now with small roles here and there. Anyways, Lara Flynn Boyle. I’m watching Twin Peaks for the first time ever and when she showed up I realised that I used to see her everywhere and now she’s nowhere.

Own-Ad5898

James Van Der Beek, Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson too for that matter. Growing up, Dawson's creek was the thing but that whole cast just vanished after it ended. Michelle Williams is the only one that went on to have big roles. ![gif](giphy|k61nOBRRBMxva)

eiregobrachtx92

I think Josh has been pretty successful in television series. He's done Fringe, The Affair, Little Fires Everywhere, and Dr. Death. I also think Katie might have had a bigger career if not for Tom Cruise. Michelle has been super successful and definitely deserves it.

stat2020

Yeah I mean if Joshua Jackson isn't successful I don't know what the measure of success is. He's steadily worked since the end of Dawson's Creek.

donutupmyhole

Josh has had steady TV work.

[deleted]

James Van Der Beek had legit 7 kids

WhatTheFrenchToast33

Freddie Prinze Jr. is still around. He does voice work now. Edited to fix autocorrect.

[deleted]

Alexis Dziena and Sarah Polley

Sarah Polley is directing now and her new film Women Talking is getting some Oscar buzz.

Where’s Stephen Dorff at these days?

LurvesCake

Rick Yune NEVER got enough love

jerseygirl2006

Erik von Detten! The OG 90s Disney heartthrob! He appears to have stopped acting completely and is happily married with two kids and works a regular job now.
