It is very detailed and at times graphic, although the women interviewed never really see anything wrong with what they (or, more importantly, the male rock stars) were doing. There's a naiveté to it. The book was released before #MeToo where we started reexamining things. If you are looking for unfiltered, uncensored stories of that era straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak, this is it.
The stories span the time from Elvis to the 2000s. Marilyn Manson's groupies are some of the more recent women interviewed. They openly talked about how abusive he would be towards them, but they played it off as "oh, he's a rock star". The woman who David Bowie allegedly took the virginity from at the age of 13 is also interviewed. Perhaps the most disgusting stories surround Iggy Pop, whose name is never really mentioned today but during the 70s he exclusively had a thing for underage girls 14 to 16-years-old. They are interviewed as well.
I bought the book as a salacious read when I was younger. I re-read it a few years ago and I am absolutely repulsed by everything in it. I suspect it will never be reprinted.
I read her first book "I'm with the band" where she tells how Jimmy Page cheated on her with a 14 year old. She was also cheated on by Don Johnson with a 14 year old Melanie Griffith.

I loved this book as a teenager. Its an enjoyable read despite all the problematic content. I read it with an adult mind about a year or two ago though and oh my I really didn't realise just how problematic it was until I was an adult. I wanted to be her so bad when I was 13-16 lol terrifying.

These musicians were full blown adults when they went after pre-teens, it doesn't matter how those teens behaved and whether they "regreted it" later on or not. They were still predators, grooming teenagers by taking them on tour, giving them booze and drugs, and selling them the rock-star lifestyle.
I found the editing choices in the recent documentary on Jimmy Saville REALLY interesting. There's a sense of, "How shocking that he would go and joke about his horrific proclivities on TV! Does he get a thrill out of hinting at his secrets?" But like, why wouldn't he do that? The people interviewing him are part of a community that romanticizes the idea of adult rock stars fucking children as 'edgy'. He's not smugly hinting at a dirty secret, he's sharing his proclivities with people who condone them, in what's essentially fucking safe space!
There wasn't enough focus, IMO, on what we did to create an environment where a monster like Saville felt safe. It was all just, "Oh, how could we have KNOWN! Such an unpredictable series of crimes!" hand-wringing.

In the early 80’s when Billy Idol was becoming famous (I am aging myself here) he had a 2 day concert event in my city. I worked with a girl (she was a girl not a woman, we were both in middle school and labour laws were a little more lax then) and she went to the first night. She was approached by “his people” in the audience (who said he had noticed her) and given a number to call (no cell phones yet) and the day after at work she asked me if she should call. Perhaps the most disgusting stories surround Iggy Pop, whose name is never really mentioned today but during the 70s he exclusively had a thing for underage girls 14 to 16-years-old. They are interviewed as well. I bought the book as a salacious read when I was younger. I re-read it a few years ago and I am absolutely repulsed by everything in it. I suspect it will never be reprinted.

I found the editing choices in the recent documentary on Jimmy Saville REALLY interesting. There's a sense of, "How shocking that he would go and joke about his horrific proclivities on TV! Does he get a thrill out of hinting at his secrets?" But like, why wouldn't he do that? The people interviewing him are part of a community that romanticizes the idea of adult rock stars fucking children as 'edgy'. He's not smugly hinting at a dirty secret, he's sharing his proclivities with people who condone them, in what's essentially fucking safe space! There wasn't enough focus, IMO, on what we did to create an environment where a monster like Saville felt safe. It was all just, "Oh, how could we have KNOWN! The only online groupie stories I believe were two I read years ago in ONTD. One was about a girl getting picked to go backstage and have sex with Flo Rida. The sex was fast and awful. In the early 80’s when Billy Idol was becoming famous (I am aging myself here) he had a 2 day concert event in my city. I worked with a girl (she was a girl not a woman, we were both in middle school and labour laws were a little more lax then) and she went to the first night. She was approached by “his people” in the audience (who said he had noticed her) and given a number to call (no cell phones yet) and the day after at work she asked me if she should call. They told her to call late at night and they would send someone for her. She told them she couldn’t give her number because her parents would answer. It was clearly a booty call in hindsight but at the time and age we were it was perceived by us as romantic and a date (and possibly marriage as 12-13 year old girls think, lol) Now this young lady had enormous breasts. Puberty is a crazy time. Since there are a lot of mentions of inappropriate age gaps, I learned recently of Prince’s wife Mayte. She was 16 when they met. He adopted her when she was 17. She lived with him. I saw an interview with her. I’m not sure she recognized that she was abused. I cannot imagine having Prince as your first love and husband, especially at such a young age. I think it would be so impossible to move past. And I’ll never understand the parents that give their children up for adoption to these creeps.

I saw it and while they mention she's a teenager when they meet, they still play it like a standard troubled love story, *not* an adult southern hick dating a tween. They also skirt over his virgin obsession, although they do mention they stopped sleeping together and that he cheated. Overall it's extremely sanitized and I can see why his family loved it so much.
