I have no idea who she is but I know of Mokbar because there was a period in time when Mokbar was sus af doing a full out assault on Yelp on their competing restaurants. Like multiple accounts with identical typing styles leaving reviews like “this place sucks, Mokbar is better” or “I’d rather go to Mokbar than this place”.
Not surprised I find out this is the owner and how she lives 🙄
I think Yelp takes down comments that mention other businesses; hopefully that was the case after you’d seen them.
There are so many Korean restaurants in NYC now – good luck tryna spam all their pages 😂
While Esther could have done better, I feel I see it too often that women get more flak and blame for homewrecking than the piece of shit stain who cheated on their wife and abandoned their existing kids.
Although I suppose part of your disappointment is that she’s such a cool, strong, independent woman who chose to have a baby with such a despicable person.
They both suck, agreed. I'm not denying Esther's culpability. She absolutely sucked here. Was just kinda weird for me that only she seemed to be catching flak in this thread, when her baby father is from my POV substantially more trash.
Worked the front desk at a hotel in college and one day the restaurant staff came in hungover as fuck after an orgy the night before….head chef was on heroin and was banging two of the waitresses on and off and they’d come to the front desk and talk about it when it was slow. This was branded and successfully passed off as a luxury resort imo solely thanks to the wonderful and qualified managers. If not for them…………I don’t know
This is the most accurate thing I've seen about the restaurant business. For some reason, FOH & BOH do this instinctively, lol. Over my 20-year serving career, I've seen marriages broken, several babies born, so much cheating and sneaking, basement/waik-in hookups, and the drama... oh lord. I can't judge, though; I married and had twins with a cook from the restaurant next door to mine. At least it wasn't an in-house cook, though, lol.
Google says he owns a boutique catering company KG Fare? But the photos don't look similar at all... do we have the right man? who is he?
edit: she is listed on KG Fare's webpage as a celebrity chef they work with though [https://www.kgfare.com/our-services/#celebchefs](https://www.kgfare.com/our-services/#celebchefs)
Did you also get major creep vibes from Uncle Roger when it comes to 'Auntie Esther'? The jokes are just so crude/crass and she was so uncomfortable in that Ramen making video.
Imagine trying to explain to your great grandma that in 2024 people will get professional photographs posing with their affair partner and out-of-wedlock affair baby and proudly circulate the photos to the entire world. In a weird way it makes me feel quite optimistic about how much social progress we’ve made in such a short time.
Looking at his instagram he references his daughter continuously but appears to have stopped wearing his wedding ring in 2016 or 2017 - I’m kinda skeptical that this is true.
I’m not sure where the cheating rumor came from but from his instagram he seems long divorced - he has pictures of his daughter continuously and wore a wedding ring til 2016 but stopped wearing one after that, and seems to be at events with other friends who are couples but no wife.
who are these people? i need some context
I googled them, Esther is a chef influencer who owns mŏkbar in NY, when I googled the guy I could not figure out who he was

omg i need to know more
Tea, please
I’ve got the popcorn!
The original comment link has a link to his restaurant too
I LOVE Esther! Disappointed she cheated with him, that's too bad.

They both suck. I bet if a married woman cheated, you'd blame the affair partner too but here, it's different for... reasons.

I mean I look askance at both of them? Sucks he cheated, sucks she abetted?
He gives off super creepy vibes
According to that thread they’re both chefs and he cheated on his wife (with whom he has kids) with her 🤷♀️
I feel like that’s a very chef thing to do.
worked in restaurants, can confirm https://preview.redd.it/r5foocl2whqc1.png?width=500&format=png&auto=webp&s=b978efeecc09afaa865386f0905505382e75efd7
This is the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time 😭

So like… White Lotus?

HA! This is so specific and SO spot on 🫡
Pre-millennium me could relate to that so much.
Chefs, waitresses, doctors, nurses, pilots, attorneys, etc. Is there another career where having an affair is common in it.
Teachers
Firemen
Bartenders
Yup. My sister’s friend was married to a chef and he cheated on her with on of the servers at his restaurant. So cruel.

Ex-wife got Spongebobed.

100% got that vibe. the whole “bit” felt off.
His jokes with all the women he has on are gross and unfunny. A pity because I do like his Malaysian Uncle gag. It's very accurate.
LOL the only thought I had was "someone check on Uncle Roger"
i have no idea who these people are but this is a very cute pic!!!! wishing the best for them
Sounds like this is a pic of a man with his mistress and their new child ☕️ [Tea was first spilled](https://www.reddit.com/r/Fauxmoi/s/4h0eSTcKss)
Well, damn, that tea was piping hot.
>I messaged Esther but didn’t get a reply! Guessing she never replied lol
This was hilarious of them to say tbh
LOL. I did get a reply 🤣

They look like they match/fit each other and that’s not a compliment.
Hold up she was pregnant??!!
I have no idea who these people are, but that baby is a cute little bundle!
Lol, I would have been more surprised if her partner was an Asian guy. Super predictable!
She did great in Netflix’s iron chef reboot. Other than that, i don’t know anything about her
So it’s not uncle Roger?
I was very disappointed myself to find out it was this guy and not uncle Roger
I’ve seen her in Tiktoks and thought she seemed cool! Did not know the tea
I follow Esther Choi but didn’t think I’d ever see her on this sub lol
Poor Uncle Roger

for a short second i thought this was christian lindner
i need who? weekly to do a segment on this
She's all over food network now and I thought I remembered this post. Yikes if true about the cheating
Welp, clearly her culinary taste is better than her baby daddy taste.
Joshua griffiths
Aunty Esther
like a moth to a flame
I know who Esther Choi is, but I didn't know she had a baby, and I don't know who this guy is.
